Usually, most strikers try to bully-off defenders to make way, especially when trying to complete a dribble or take a run. It depends on the type of striker though.
The guy almost succeeded and that was why Pique reacted.

The guy definitely held off Pique and took his shot and missed before he went down.

No ref would have given such penalty of it was Messi at the other end subjected to the same defensive move.

No one is talking about it simply because we won 5-1.

If they had beaten us 1-0 most of you would be watching that replay again and again.


But that wasn't even a yellow card.

There was a tussle and Pique clearly held the guy shirt for a while and it's justifiable if he had a yellow card instead of the red one. More so, he was the last man.

See bro, the midfield was important, but Messi was the man. He wasn't just the cherry on top of the cake, he was the X factor. He practically made the job of the midfield and attackers look easier.

The midfield trio thrived with Spain not because they were superhunans , but because Spain was bursting with talents. The Spanish midfield had xabi alonso and others who made things happen with or without them. Simply put, the Spanish team was complete from attack to defense.

Dude made it seem like Pep was in charge of the National team at that time.

But I still think that Messi was instrumental in taking that midfield to the next level of excellence. If you watched some of Spain's matches in that 2010 and many of Guardiola's matches without Messi, some resolute teams have proven extremely difficult to break down. From Madrid, Athletico Madrid for Guardiola to Germany, Netherlands etc for Spain.

Recently, the Nigerian police sent to every citizen a toll number (like 911) to dial in case of an emergency. Ask yourself, would they have done that if they didn't care for us?

This isn't a wise thing to say.


It's the police's responsibility to protect the lives of citizens and the 911 thing didn't start today.


And to tell you the truth, police brutality is very much one of the issues of peaceful protests. Why would I be scared to move on my daily routines with fear of some men stopping me to abuse me of being too young to be rich?
