Jodera: For every top club's CEO, president and top level member to be saying such a thing about Barca, isn't it a cause of concern? I mean, don't you see it as one?
It's more than one or two top club member that have said such and to me that's ringing something in my head Tbh. If to say na nairaland analyst, papers or pundits talking all these things, I would have dismissed it without second thoughts but once people who also run top clubs are saying something like this repeatedly, then it means it's something new and strange and obviously cause for concern. I don't feel they'll be trolling or insulting Barca at this point, they're too professional to do that — at least, my years of following football and its news tells me so— so it's very very concerning
Anyways, make I dey watch. Maybe, this might explain better why it's happening. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMNsRqVUY/?k=1 The thing is, Barca has a formidable fan base and Laporta is banking to generate revenues with big money signings. More so, winning the La Liga or any major cup ( the UCL or something close) would further improve the chances of buying back what we sold. What we took is simply a loan that can be repaid ( some of which we have already done but the media doesn't show that). I'm pretty certain that Barcelona financial analysts have weighed the odds and communicated it to the socios before majority of them signed on the deal. |

Trevor012: Baba at every mention of Mourinho all you do is get bitter and result to downplaying his achievement. He won the league back to back in his first stint at Chelsea breaking numerous records. Took Chelsea to 2 champions league semi final and won every domestic trophy available to a Premier League manager in just 3 years. How exactly is that different from what Pep is doing at City? Maybe you think I hate Mou but it's just not true. He did well but abeg, 2 years in Chelsea and achieving his feat is good but not enough to measure up to SAF that spent more years making things happen. The same goes for Wenger's Arsenal. Even Pep is below that pecking order but surely should be rated above Mou in anything relating to ENGLISH FOOTBALL. Winning 4/5 of the league titles in this present age and time, as well as scooping every domestic title available is no small feat, compared to Mou's stint in England. |

amo123: true guardiola made city a fortress no doubt. but its their time now. before mourinho made chelsea a fortress too (4 years unbeaten at home). even arsene Wenger made arsenal a fortress (invincibles). or have we forgotten united fortress under Ferguson. it goes round. and our time is coming soon. I hope city wins cl before then. I'd agree with what you said but you really didn't have to drag Mou into this. He was just like every other manager you guys had, please. Unbeaten at home didn't guarantee anything called trophy except bragging rights before he fell out with Abrahimovic. What he did at Chelsea cannot be compared with what Pep has done at city or Wenger at Chelsea or SAF. I agree with your other points though. |

amo123: yes let him work at his own pace. abi Tottenham first played ucl final in england before mancity?. how much Tottenham spend? make e continue to work at him pace. na third champions league Chelsea dey go for. even Tottenham may win one before him. How many titles Chelsea and Tottenham don win since Pep begin coach? In fact, Pep has more titles than both teams, combined. Now, the difference is that Pep has given more significance to City, a club that almost has no history until he arrived and made it the fortress that it is now. So bro, his time will come... It won't be long. That's for sure. |

Android22: I asked you to follow the discourse so you'll know the point being made.
In hierarchy: i. English Premier league ii. UEFA CL
That is how City rates it. Even if City owners dare to think of the UCL glory, it's because of the dominance and brilliance that Pep has created. Hence they gotta let him work at his own pace. |

Android22: Na wetin dey pain most of his haters here. They asked him to come to English league to prove himself. At that time, nobody said he must coach Stoke or Everton. They said anywhere he wants. He now selected City.
First season, he did not win. They mocked him. Nobody remembered that City had rich owners at the time. Nobody brought up UCL as well.
Baba started breaking all records then next thing they switched to no Champion's league QF. Then later no SF. Then no UCL trophy.
How can you please people who will always change the rules of the game? lol Pep is the standard and as such, much is expected of him. |

Sportsweb: I believe this is why he doesn't want to take pay cut. Barca like other clubs can discard players at any point.
See people like Gavi, Fati and Pedri that they are hyping, at any slight drop in form and another player comes in, their time at Barca could be up. Xavi for instance is playing Dembele and Raphinha as wingers ahead of Fati, and Fati can bench Lewandowski.. Fati time could be up.
Frenkie de Jong forming I love Barca and take pay cut, the club won't hesitate to dump him especially when the likes of Gavi and Pedri are doing well.
So, the young man wants to keep earning his salary because he knows the future is not bright Damn. You really sat down and composed this shit, all because a player is refusing to come.. C'mon... You can do better. How on earth can you even claim that FDJ's future isn't bright? Mention 5 young midfielders ahead of him in the pecking order right now? Chelsea doesn't any young midfielders/players including that talentless Mount that y'all heap praises on but you somehow think FDJ doesn't have a fruitful future ahead of him. C'mon... Be logical. |

Laliga Update-
▫️Barcelona is yet to register Lewandowski and Rapinha
▫️Sevilla is still working on registering their new signings. They made 80m in sales this summer and have also signed the CVC deal.
▫️Villarreal is yet to register their new singings.
▫️Real Betis is still waiting to register new singings and might follow the Barça route i.e., activating the levers.
▫️Almeria, Elche and Real Valladolid are also facing the same issues.
To conclude, a total of 90 players are signed this summer by the Spanish top division clubs of which, only 34 players are registered. With one week to go, it is very difficult for all the players to be registered in the stipulated time.
The most cancerous thing that happened to Spanish league in recent years is Javier Tebas. Man is single handley ruining the image of the league and is perhaps one the reason players are avoiding signing for Spanish teams in recent years. Perhaps we might be lucky that Perez is never on board with him, whether it's about CVC or Super League, but the hit the league is taking overall because of stubbornness of one certain individual is not at all acceptable. We might be able to tame other leagues on-field but off-field things needs to be taken care of, for sure.

Kilishihunter: The witch-hunt against this club is just too much For the past few weeks Barca this, Barca that, Just cause of fdj and we buying attractive players in debt while beating some EPL clubs to them, No club in the world has gotten this much negative attention in the press and the English media especially than us, Every truth and lie is milked to the last drop through articles With tebas's mumu policies that were not there during Bartomumu's regime, we are not the only club facing issues registering players, Sevilla, Villarreal, betis et al are struggling but the spotlight must be on us to the max (which is understandable though to be honest) But at the end of all these we'll see who laughs last Na real witch against.
