Then there's this new aggression that Dembele seems to have if he doesn't shoot well. The guy seems to be frustrated with his poor shots. Although he didn't do well to rectify it.

There's a lot of toxicity among football fans. An occasional troll here and there is fine, don't get me wrong, but the lengths people go to feed into their biases and polarise to either side is horrible.

One result doesn't make a club superior or inferior. A consistent row of below par performances for a season or two makes a club inferior to their usual self. Look at Manchester United, Everton; AC Milan during the last decade, Malaga etc. These are examples of clubs being inferior to their usual self.

Idk if you guys remember what Curse of Anoeta is, but there was a phase of over 10 years, during which Barcelona could not win a single game against Real Sociedad away. They've failed win against Vallecano for 3 games in a row now. Real Madrid hasn't scored against Real Betis at home in almost 4 years now.

These isolated phenomenons aren't discussed often, but despite the "consistent phase of below par performances", people wouldn't call Barca inferior to Real Sociedad or Rayo or they wouldn't call Madrid inferior to Betis.

Football is much more complex than what these toxic fans would want you to believe. Barca fans discredited our whole last season due to our 4-0 loss against them. Real Madrid fans now are overlooking their potential for their 0-0 draw yesterday. Both results stemmed from lapse in tactical decisions; but the toxic portion of fans from both sides would make you believe that the result makes one club inferior to other.

It's human tendacy to only see reason into evidences that'll align with your prejudices and polarised beliefs. We're not kids anymore and we can try and be more reasonable in assessing the "football" of it all. This is a beautiful game, and if you close your mind to hate one part of the game and do anything possible to justify and focus on the part you've chosen to love, then you're going to miss out on a lot of joy that this game can offee you.

This doesn't mean don't choose a club and love it to death. Loving one doesn't mean hating anything and everything else.

You are right with Pedri. He honestly seem to have forgotten his CM duties and with the likes of Gavi trying to also play as an AM, things got just to complicated that we had to rely on Chris and Eric to play as midfielders.

Maybe starting FDJ in this fame would have yielded better results because truth be told, none of our players seem to know how to drive the ball forward like him.
