BusinessRe: Help! I Need Advice On How To Advertise Effectively But Affordably by FirstS2B(f): 5:34pm On Nov 10, 2015
I don't know who your target audience is and other details of your products. But you should understand that people don't buy products/services, they buy solutions! You should be able to frame your products as a solution to a problem or need your target market is having. You can them organise a free event which you market vigorously online to attract your right audience. This is where you spend some money to advertise using Google Adwords or Facebook ad or any other effective online advertising medium or media. After educating your audience thoroughly, you will easily sell your products as they now see it as the only viable solution to their problem. Do this.

I suggest you form Joint Ventures with other businesses. It works powerfully without costing you money. These other business owners should be selling products/services that complement your fashion products. Your customers definitely buy some other things along with what they buy from you like matching shoes & bags. You could partner with businesses selling these products so they market your products to their customers & vice versa. Sometimes, you may have an arrangement to pay yourselves commission on referrals generated for each other. It is a win-win arrangement for all parties. You could also parner with Fashion schools, fabric vendors etc. I hope you get the gist?
BusinessVocational Skills Trainers Hub by FirstS2B(op): 10:40pm On Nov 08, 2015
Are you a vocational skills trainer and have a database of people you've trained over time? By that I mean their names, phone numbers & probably email addresses. Would you like to form a joint venture partnership with other trainers? You can market other trainers skills you don't handle to your own client base while they do same for you. This way, expensive advert costs can be eliminated as you acquire new clients.
Just give your business details here like Business name, phone number(s), & address.

BusinessHelp For Young Business Owners(entrpreneurs) by FirstS2B(op): 3:27pm On Nov 08, 2015
Welcome to the world of business people! It is true that starting and running a business can be very challenging. No wonder many shy away from it, preferring the shelter of a paid employment. But there are advantages & disadvantages to whichever option you settle for.
Some people enter the business world well equipped & knowing the rules while others come in without the slightest idea of what it entails to succeed. Just like any other game, business is also a big game & it behoves anyone dabbling into it to know the rules.
Some of us are forced to take on business because we couldn't pick up a paid employment after many years of graduation. And of course, our orientation is to get a job after school life. I belong to this group of people who went into business after many years of no job.
When I entered in, I did many things wrongly & was disappointed with the results I was getting e.g:

* No business plan or direction at onset
* No particular target customer/client
* No business model
* Insufficient customer flow
* Irregular income
* No business records
* No mentor
* No joint venture partners
* No customer acquisition strategies etc

But the good thing is to keep searching for solution & not give up. Soon later, I found help & my business started flying. I've not arrived yet, but at least I've started learning to do things properly & seriously learning the game of business.
One of the important lessons I've learnt from one of my mentors is that you don't need to have money or deep pockets to succeed in business. You only need good thinking. Of course, many of us young business people don't have the money to run our businesses like blue chips.
What I want to do here is share my business expertise & resources with others in my shoes so as to make things easier for those struggling in their businesses now & encourage new comers to jump in!
Here we go.

Important First Steps In Business
1. Research The Market.
This is important to ensure your business idea is viable. Are there people you know doing that same business? If yes, why not ask them how they are thriving. Ask friends for their opinion about your business idea. Also ensure that your business is based on your strength.

2. Decide On A Business Structure
Would you prefer a sole proprietorship, a partnership, limited liability company, a trust or an NGO and why.

3. Blueprint Your Business
This is the equivalent of a business plan but more practicable than a theoretical business plan.

4. Choose A Name.
Your business name must be memorable and immediately tells a prospect what your business does.

5. Register Your Business Name
It's important to get your business registered from the onset rather than getting many customers used to it already only for you to realise that someone else has registered it.

6. Get Your Finances In Order
If it means taking basic accounting lessons to learn to keep your business books, please do. You should know how much expenses & income you are making each month.

There are other things to know and put in place like a website, marketing & advertising etc but the above listed ones are just a few to start you off.

What are your own most pressing business challenges at the moment? How are you finding the business terrain? What advice do you have for other business people needing to learn from your experiences? Why not post them here?
More resources coming up soon. [b]Welcome to the world of business people! It is true that starting and running a business can be very challenging. Sorry Niveal, this has nothing to do with GNLD! Is that the only way out you know?
NYSCBig Mistakes Nigerian Graduates Make! by FirstS2B(op): 4:40pm On Oct 29, 2015
The current situation of high unemployment rate among Nigerian graduates has assumed an alarming dimension. A sizeable number of graduates are still roaming the streets, searching for jobs many years after graduation.
We are told that one of the reasons for this unpleasant situation is that graduates lack the skills needed by employers of labour! That means that the academic knowledge graduates come out with is no longer needed.
Another reason is that the number of graduates turned out yearly is more than can be absorbed by the labour market. Too many graduates chasing few job vacancies!
There are many other reasons we can't exhaust now but the fact is that nigerian graduates must find a way to free themselves from this trap.
I was unemployed for 5 years after graduation before I luckily picked up a teaching job in a private secondary school that paid me N4500. I changed to another one that offered me N6000 and was on a salary of N8000 by the time I resigned.
I am not a trained teacher and only took up the job to survive. I got another job as a marketer shortly after I left teaching. It was a computer assessories company and I was determined to do my best to market our company products with God on my side. My salary was N13,000. But there was a problem; the owner of the company wanted me to wear skimpy clothes that would expose my body in order to attract customers! I couldn't put up with this so I resigned on Day 3! I was back to square one.
To cut a long story short, I changed course and did something different that changed my story. Today, I'm no more an applicant!
That is what I want to share with you in a one day Free seminar titled:
