I still maintain that Big Brother Naija is the only thing in Nigeria that i've seen with little or no tribalism. Even though this year seems like the year with a little more tribal jingoism and i think it's mainly because of some of the people that are supporting LAYCON.

There's nothing wrong with LAYCON winning and infact i predicted him to win in the second week even though i was supporting ERICA and i think right now, he deserves it.

However, i noticed that just for the fact that he's Yoruba, a lot of Yoruba people especially celebrities who don't even watch the show have gone out of their way to support him. I'm just concerned that this might become a trend. Let's not forget that Laycon is the most supported housemates in all the 36 states of NIgeria and is everyone's choice. But the tribalism though.

When Efe, Miracle or Mercy won, there was little or no tribal ish. People just liked them for who they were irrespective of tribe. Laycon is also liked by majority of people. But there are some few bad eggs that want to turn the thing to something else. There's also a group of people who don't want Laycon to win just because he's not from their tribe.
