In the U.S. They use di-gel which contains simethicone which is the the constituent in infacol... It has other names in other parts of the world... So I wonder why US pediatricians prescribe di-gel or why it's in use?
So @favoredgal when u say a pediatrician won't administer infacol or they advise against it then I'm wondering where u got ur info from.
Colic is uncomfortable and painful if u have experienced it as u say then u wld appreciate the relief a child gets from using "simethicone"
And the drug shld b banned if it doesn't give relief... Cc @bambini
I dislike misinformation.... |

favoredgal: No pediatrician in the us will recommend gripe water or infacol. Infact they advice against it
To be honest colic has no cure. You have to wait it out, it's the baby's digestive system that is not strong enough to process gas.
What you can do to help is to burp very well after feeding no matter how long it takes, lie the baby on tummy (supervised because of SIDS), use anti colic bottles if you are bottle feeding, ride your babies leg like a bicycle when they are uncomfortable it helps relieves the tummy of some gas
It's really difficult, I know first hand cuz I battles both colic and reflux but colic passes at three months for most babies Really.... Haba what kind of misinformation is this en? Na wa o |

bambini: Thanks dear I used infacol for my first buh I don't know if the have it here, I also give him grip water buh is not working
quote author=firsttymum post=35463126]
Go to the pharmacy and buy infacol... Administer according to age... Or if u r with gripe water u can use it too... But infacol is superb Gripe water entails patience unlike infacol that's faster...... Look for the infacol they shld have it... U can only try. If u don't get u have to continue with d gripe water. Then try to patiently ensure the food has gone down before lying the baby down. Colic can be very uncomfortable . U can order infacol on Amazon if u don't get it in a store |

Shawbabe: How does one do change of name on Naija passport? Is it here in Abuja? And what do I need to take with me? Also how much is it? Ur husband passport page Ur old passport Newspaper publication Sworn affidavit Marriage certificate Passport photograph Application for change of name letter I think a letter from ur husband( just make him sign at the end of a plain paper.. When u get there use their format and write). I wasn't asked for this when I did mine but my friend was asked. Let the signature match the one on his passport page Go with original for sighting... Then make copies so u don't treak up and down. Go with cash... Cos the atm there is kinda far and doesn't always work. You shld get ur passport the next day by noon. It's done only in Abuja. I did everything with 35000. As at last year December. There's payment for two different things( pray u find one of the guys to help u with the print out payment, that one is unnecessary waka) Then hold extra for tipping.... |

dunwun: Thanks Nerf, that's really encouraging I must say cos I'm trying hard not to feel bad and blame myself for something I'm not aware of.
@dyout. Thanks too. we've thought of that too I.e. applying with hubby, but she didn't ask one question about hubby. She only acknowledged that I was married. And it was right afterwards she asked if we had children.
@Nogen, I read somewhere that you can politely ask to be interviewed by another VO should you meet the same VO who had interviewed you before. My thoughts exactly, hubby staying back was to make ties stronger at least for the purpose of my interview. If u r married why sponsor urself? Maybe u shld try u and ur husband are sponsors or him alone... Then pls try Abuja... |

zeezahbee: Certificate and delivery ? Two unlike pole. The chances a lawyer will win this is 1%. Which mouth will the lawyer use to fight it.
This is a great mistake. The question again is your sister truly going for delivery or staying ?
Well etihad or delta or united, all Na same. It would have even been worst if she flew delta or unite and landed on USA soil. They will surely mess her up and cancel her without prejudice. 1% ke? |

Beryl15: @demiiii If you're in Maryland and would have to go through the stress of buying a money order, why not just get a nigerian passport instead of getting a visa. Had my baby last year in Maryland and got baby's naija passport in two hours at the embassy. #myopinion I thought u can only get naija passport in newyork, Washington and Atlanta |
