Hello Guys,

Just got to Keystone bank this morning for pta but was told that they have stopped selling based on a circular sent this morning. Kai, this pple want to kill us oo. Now stocked to black market cos i dont have any other bank to run to. Diamond bank insisited on 6 months running of the acct and the useless GTB and UBA are not even selling at all. Pls any advice on how to get it.
I think bank rates are cheaper than black market. The only other option is if u know someone who is traveling and uses diamond or fidelity....

Ideally you should have an international driver's license to drive in the US cos the nigerian one isn't recognized. Just hope you're not stopped for any reason cos you'll have a bit of explanation to do with your naija license. And you might even jeopardise the car owner cos you're probably not listed on the insurance. Just be careful.
That was then... The new license is accepted

Sorry about your baby, must have been very traumatic for you having a baby in NICU, and we thank God he is fine.
As per your question... a day in NICU can cost up to $1000 a day, then the emergency surgery could run into thousands... when you see the final bill you will be able to decide mode of payment
Can she accept the Medicaid if she can't afford the bill and then pay off Medicaid later?

And then the letter stating d emergency stuff might come in handy later shld u decide to use d Medicaid. Congratulations on ur baby... May God perfect everything amen.. @callmefavoured

ANGLETON, TX (KTRK) -- The Texas Medical Board has temporarily restricted an Angleton doctor from delivering babies citing a "continuing threat to the public and welfare" and three fetal deaths.
Dr. Gregory Cooke, 50, is an obstetrician and a gynecologist licensed Dr. Cooke did not respond in a timely manner, despite calls and text messages from nurses., -ob-gyn-told-he-cant-deliver-babies-anymore/825130/
Na wa o... I'm just curious as to why he always delays... God abeg protect and direct us To the right health facilities o

nefertitiram:
My people,
I could not resist the urge to share this story. I got talking with a woman at the park during the 4th of July celebration and I knew I just had to share. Before I proceed, please note I am not here to demarket anyone, or raise dry bones, it's just a coincidence this story came up again.
She recently immigrated to US 2 years ago to join her hubby from an African country and got preg. On interacting with other Africans she was referred to a Nigerian doctor, Dr. Akere and signed up with him early enough in the preg, using her husband's insurance.
Ok, good night.
Chai .... I remember as I was reading through the thread with my jotter by my side, jotting vs trying to understand it all.... I saw posts about same dr, and the wahala it caused.
Hmmmm on the bright side he allowed an obgyn take d delivery.

Thank God for this thread.... It's a big eye opener...

It's a non prescription drug, it's sold OTC. What I mean is if you take your baby to the paed for colic, they will tell you to wait it out.

Anyways let me not derail this thread do your research and be careful what goes into your babies mouth

@bisilola, thanks for the response. Stopovers more than 8hrs is entitled to a free hotel. Mine is less than 8hrs, but what am really trying to avoid is the long stopover -7hrs is too long for me.
Someone on this thread suggested using the bathroom and having a slow nice bath and freshen up before ur next leg grin grin maybe u shld try it :*
