We're talking of the indigenous people of Lagos. Even if Bini people come to Lagos, they are not indigenous to Lagos. They met Yoruba people there. By the treaty of cession of 1863, Lagos become a colony of the crown, meaning that Lagos was part of the British empire, whatever obtained in Britain was obtainable in Lagos, it was part and parcel of Britain, while the rest of Nigeria was divided into southern and northern protectorates.

And so? How does that invalidate the indigenous people the British met there? Knowledge without logic is a burden.
