N1,500 per acre OR N15,000? I need you to clarify that |
@Fison thank you for this wonderful contribution. i was thinking that pig farming will cost us me more, but thank God for your comment, but do you think that this money can be enough for pig farming? take for instance, we will construct pig pen, buy pigs for rearing, employ security, and buy foods for the pigs, treat them against disease. please can any one help us how to cut down start up cost? That's the main reason why i didn't talk much on pig because I don't really have much ideas on pig but you can consider venturing into: *Snailery: This is another lucrative business which will fetch you cool cash.. Snails are appreciated in Nigeria, and on the high side.. You can also become a supplier to hotels, fast foods. * Planting of Tomato, Cucumber or pepper and the likes *Vegetable (ugwu) ....Just do some feasibility studies based on that money |
Helo nairalanders, experience fish farmers and pig farmers can you share with us about those two agro venture, which of the two is better, so that we can learn from you. me and friend have gather up to 120,000 naira with with one acres of land close to a river. which of the farming is profitable that we can start with the limited budget above. thanks I will suggest you go for pig farming due to limited capital@your disposal (N120k). On the other hand, fish farming is very lucrative though it requires personal commitment. Forinstance, the cost of buying a mobile fish pond: plastic, tarpaulin, or construction of earthen/concrete fish pond, the cost of feeding which takes 60 to 70% of the total money, cost of seed procurement (fingerlings), maintenance fee and other expenses. |
I got the alert on the 8th of Jan around 7:15pm and I started the registration but couldn't finish it that night hoping I will continue the next day but to my dismay, it displayed Maximum number reached and constant trying the 3rd day says, site not available. |

This is a veteran and an insightful post@Op. Have been following with keen interest cum the comments. Well, I just have few questions to ask. 1. Doesn't plantain require manure because you didn't mention such? If YES to using manure, how often do one apply it (give the range of weeks or months) 2. Should it be planted in a row or scattered form? 3. Please like how much will it cost from procurement, operational cost(s) et'al to harvesting excluding land (Ekiti precisely)? 4. What is the present market price for a dozen of plantain using Lagos and Abuja as a case study. I can be reached via adekanmi_adewumi@yahoo.com. Thanks |
It just doesn't worth it, 100 people out of over 2000 participants. That's kinda small....advanced way of siphoning money |
While there are many controversial elements to the abortion issue, from a strictly clinical point of view, an abortion performed by a medical professional under proper sanitary conditions is a safe and straight forward procedure, especially if done during the early weeks of a pregnancy. There is no scientific evidence which establishes that an abortion performed under these circumstances poses any notable risk to a woman’s future fertility. Most women who have had an abortion go on to have a baby when they are ready without any problems. Having conceived before proves that you ovulate and can get pregnant. So, rest assured that if it's taking longer than you'd like to get pregnant, it's unlikely to be because of the termination. Occasionally, though, if the termination was not straight forward, it may affect your fertility. There is also a high level of unsafe abortions in our country which pose serious health risks to women. Abortions performed illegally, by unskilled doctors in unhygienic conditions may cause complications in future. An incomplete termination (retained products of conception) can increase the risk of infection and scarring. In rare cases, the process of dilation and curettage (D&C) used to clean out the uterus (womb), may cause damage. These include: (1) Perforation of the uterus, which happens when a surgical instrument pokes a hole in the uterus. It happens in up to 1 percent of women having a D&C . Most of these tears heal on their own. However, if a blood vessel or other organ is damaged, a second procedure may be necessary to repair it. (2) Damage to the cervix. If the cervix is injured during a D&C, your doctor will treat it by applying pressure or medicine to stop the bleeding, or by suturing the tear. (3) Scar tissue on the uterine wall. D&C can lead to development of scar tissue in the uterus. This is called Asherman's syndrome and happens most frequently when the procedure is performed after a miscarriage or delivery. This can lead to abnormal, absent or painful menstrual cycles, future miscarriages and infertility. Asherman's syndrome can usually be treated with hormones that encourage growth of healthy uterine tissue, or scar tissue can sometimes be removed with surgery. (4) Infection. Infection after a D&C is possible, FEMALE VAGINAL DISCHARGE. VAGINAL ITCHING. VAGINAL BLEEDING INFECTION ....... as well as LOW SPERM COUNT for men. WEAK ERECTION. PREMATURE EJACULATION. SMALL PENIS. An infection setting in after the procedure, such as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), can cause a problem. If it's not treated early, PID can lead to blockages in and around the fallopian tubes and an increased risk of ectopic pregnancy. And there may be scarring at the top of your cervix (the entrance to your uterus) or inside your uterus. But even if that's not the case for you, you should know that if you've had more than one abortion and get pregnant again later on, you may find that you have what's known as cervical weakness; a weakened cervix that may start dilating prematurely. |
