Sarsaparilla524: OFFICIAL: The Super Eagles climb 12 places to 26th position in the latest FIFA Men's World Ranking.
Now ranked 3rd in Africa. Realistically, we've always been top 3 skill and talent wise for the past 5-6 years. Even this AFCON, we were looking like the best team hands down at certain moments of the tournament with only Senegal looking as good. CHAN and the poor World Cup qualifiers did us dirty at the FIFA rankings. Thank God they've scrapped that useless CHAN, make we know wetin we dey talk. |

AndSunGorilla: He should be, FIFA too should suspend Senegal from the WC and let the 3rd placed team at the AFCON take their place. This isn't the first time for Senegal, they did something similar some years back playing against CIV in a WCQ at home, the players and fans disrupted the game and it had to be abandoned. A strong message must be sent to serve as a deterrent. Na so. |

Dannyxy: then don’t owe them, pay them.
All this talk of bleed this that, no one will bleed for you if you can’t do the basic.
Pay your players, play your coaches stop eating their money . Stop excusing corruption stop excusing mediocrity on the blackmail of fake patriotism, show patriotism by actually taking care of those who bleed for you, smaller countries are not even this embarrassing.
Set up structures, build stadiums, get infrastructure, not hoping on the players so it every time on their, come to camp with their own money, stay on low budget hotels. It's unfortunate how we've been singing this song for decades and nothing has changed. The Nigerian culture is a culture of wilful self-sabotage. |

But I've lost faith in fairness on football
If Congo cheated, it shouldn't have taken FOFA this long to announce it .as I said, we can only hope How long did it take to land the hammer on Guinea Equatorial cos of Emilio Nsue? Whatever the case, I'm not expecting a 100% positive result. But the facts available are convincing enough that the case could go either way to me. If it doesn't go our way, then no issue. |

I thought Morocco loss would make me happy, but if anything it has made me more depressed. I can never feel comfortable celebrating another country's victory. It should have been us in the final. Congrats to Senegal all the same. We now look forward to the WAFCON, and hopefully the World Cup if the case goes through. |

I would never bet against Senegal. Those boys know how to get the results by any means necessary. These guys came from behind to knack DR Congo 3-2 in their own backyard. The same physical, hyper aggressive, coconut head DR Congo that fried us in the WC playoffs. They don't feel pressure. They just play their game and their football speaks for itself.
But then again, if the referee of the game is half as shamelessly corrupt as Daniel Laryea, it could be a long night for them. I could be wrong saying this, but in my observation of Senegal, their defense can get shaky at times and can concede when you least expect. They've never really faced any team willing to punish their defense in this AFCON. Only one I can think of is DR Congo. Egypt shamelessly played them haramball in the semis. |

Pray tell, how many shots did we have. How many on target?
These are indices we can't ignore
Leave sentiments and say the truth
Who were our best players that day - our acts and our GK. This should be a big pointer It's hard to make attacking runs and give shots when the referee keeps blowing his whistle whenever you win the ball in a duel and try to push forward. |

The fact you're saying He took our team already shows you know they were the lesser team Also please remind the human being that we fielded our second 11 against Egypt full squad with Salah and Marmoush and we still grinded out a victory against them in a knockout game. I don't know why people are glossing over that little detail. We even had two goals cancelled, and at least one of them was a legitimate goal if a competent referee was in charge. |

minfelix: But last Afcon we use white Jersey beat CIV for group stage, dem catch us for Final with our green jersey, Adingra smoked Aina like tilapia fish😂😂😂🤣 I just dey talk na. Besides that jersey was different. It just feels like whenever we get new kits, one of our jerseys must be cursed, or we at least struggle in one of them. In 2018, our white/green hybrid was our good kit. We beat Iceland with it. When we wore the dark green, we lost to Croatia and Argentina. The next year we wore the same white/green hybrid and beat Cameroon and South Africa. We switched to the dark green and lost to Algeria in the semis. |

Sarsaparilla524: AFC0N 2025 IN MOROCCO =The South Africa, born, Dr Motsepe Président of Confederation of Africa Football CAF has organised the worst AFC0N in Africa in the last 10 Years.
A competition that started well with 24 Nations and immediately the hidden agenda of the tournament was unveiled, things started falling apart with accusations, cheating, corruption and others.
Dr Patrice Motsepe is not only making money in the CAF but there to frustrate Africa TOP Football Nations and favor countries that can help him withstand the pressure in criticisms.
WHY MOROCCO IS THE WINNER OF AFC0N 2025 BEF0RE THE FINALS.
Morocco Vs Tanzania that an open penalty was refused Tanzania that was the Genesis of the hidden agenda of Dr Motsepe.
Morocco Vs Cameroon was another ugly match that was played for 90 minutes and the VAR did not function and we all know the dramatic consequences in Cameroon.
Morocco Vs Nigeria was a balanced match in the field and the Ghanian referee Daniel Laryea did his job as instructed by Motsepe, 22 faults committed against Nigeria and only 0ne yellow card in 120 minutes.
The Moroccan Football Federation instructed Dr Motsepe to change the Egyptian referee against Cameroon and proposed him a referee from Mauritania and he accepted, which has never happened in Football.
The Algerian Football Federation have written against Motsepe and CAF and copied FIFA for injustice in AFC0N 2025.
The Nigerian Football Federation have equally written against Motsepe and CAF, copied FlFA for injustice and making Morocco Champions before the Finals.
Some CAF Referees were threatening to abandon the competition even before the 2nd round due to Pressure from CAF and Morocco to work against other Nations.
FINALS - Morocco Vs Senegal.
Morocco has played the Finals already and Senegal defeated according to CAF.
Senegal players since they qualified for the Finals have difficult moments in Morocco even their supporters.
Senegal has been given a Hotel that electricity and water is constantly off.
No Forces of Law and 0rder to accompany Senegal during training sessions in Morocco.
Morocco AFC0N 2025 is a masquerade and not Football because the Winner was known before the start of the competition.
The Coach of Senegal in the Press Conference before the Finals made it clear that the Finals shall not be Free, transparent or Fairplay within 90 minutes and the Sénégalaise Football Federation have already written to CAF and FIFA copied on what is happening to players and supporters in Morocco before the Finals on Sunday January 18th 2026 at 08 PM.
AFRICA FOOTBALL STILL HAS A CHANCE TO BE GREAT AFTER Dr Patrice Motsepe from South Africa.
Follow Soccer Updates. AFC0N 2025 in Morocco. I don't know why reading this piece makes our loss to Morocco even more painful. If we had turned up in the PKs like we did today, we'd have busted their insidious bubble of corruption. Criminals. |

Goke7: I think we had a jersey that was crafted to be white but looked green almost all over. We may need to bring back that jersey again though I don’t like to be superstitious but something has been done before and we can again You're right. I think that was the jersey we used at the 2018 World Cup and 2019 AFCON. |
