We threw away the game to Morocco fr. Look at these ones today. |
minfelix:I agree 💯 |
This Nwabali save would excite me if we didn't have players with chicken legs. Abegi |
CornOak:4th place it is then ![]() |
Losing back to back penalties would be crazy though. Regular time loss would be better to me. Just saying. |
@BankyGee, what will it look like in the rankings if Nigeria loses on penalties again to Egypt. |
Abi is it that Chelle is deliberately hoping to drag the game to penalties again and force the boys to win this time, cos omo. |
Procashtips:Moses Simon will start till 2030 if Chelle is given the opportunity it seems. |
If we lose this game, it will be the first time we'll lose a third place playoff in AFCON history. Won't say more than that. |
Amedino99:And to think that I supported these criminals d at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar during that semi-final run. So because of smelling infrastructure and development, every other country can go to blazes, no matter what they accomplish on their own. |
African Pep Guardiola! 🔥🔥🔥
|
Lol. The way we were so sure we'd destroy Morocco in the semi-finals. I should have known the optimism was abit too much online. Hardly any Nigerian online rated Morocco before the match. ![]() It's well. We go for the golden bronze. ![]() |
lexyman:Omo they convince me o. I no go lie. Or maybe Egypt just made them look good, idk. |
I don't know if it's the way Egypt is playing that's making Senegal look good, but Senegal is a team I'm starting to be wary of going into the final. |
This is atrocious haramball from Egypt! |
Goke7:Football Fans Tribe wey like trouble pass anything. Make Tox and his men dey on guard. ![]() |
Emmy450:I no like when dem dey use this meme because all the times wey I don see am, the teams wey dey represent death no dey finish well. ![]() PSG in CWC. Nigeria last AFCON. To name a few. |
MetalJigsaw:Bro during the last AFCON, I was watching a South African football channel on YouTube live as they were doing watchalong for the NGA vs SA semi final game that we later won on penalties. One Nigerian called into the show when we were 2-0 up just before the VAR check that cancelled our goal and led to the equalizing penalty. If you see the way the guy was smarting that day, talking about the team's tactics and all. Obviously he was bragging in the face of our opps, but I felt like he was talking too much about our squad's weakness. Although to be honest, no be that one wey vex me that day. The guy went ahead to say that Osimhen is overrated and the poorest player in the team. Nigerians are their own worst enemy. Not only do they talk way more than they should for their own good, they're all too happy to say rubbish about their own country and trash it even when there's no good reason to or it's not necessary. It's frustrating to see. |
do4luv14:Happy birthday bro |
One thing that is sha giving me confidence is that this isn't even the final form of our current squad. You can just tell. We're like 60-70% loading. We're still rough around the edges and some of our key players aren't even available (Aina, Agu, Fredericks). So we can even become much more dangerous than we are currently. Whatever happens tonight, we need to hope against all odds that Eric Chelle stays. The NFF need to do everything within their power to keep him. If we can keep Chelle and maintain this upward trajectory, I dare say a time will come when we'll be dominating men's football in Africa the same way our women are doing right now. And our major rivals will be teams from Europe and America. Hopefully those witches in Tunisia don't succeed in their plans to steal Chelle. |
Tunisia snatching Chelle will be pure witchcraft. |
Amedino99:Nah I don't think DRC is a good example. I remember many people were skeptical about that game. They weren't this confident. And it seems their fears were confirmed. People were more confident going into the Gabon game because it was general knowledge that their defense at the time get as e be, even though they had dangerous attackers. A recurring sentiment prior to the DRC game was that DRC had a stronger defense and midfield and would likely dominate, which they did. Plus we were still in that phase where we were prone to so many errors and blunders at the back. |
How much optimism is too much optimism?.. because the way many people both here and on X are so confident we'll bulldoze Morocco tomorrow, I sha hope we won't be in for a rude surprise. ![]() |
minfelix:I just hope it's mind games o |
Yinkeys abeg leave am no worry. |
yinkeys:Can't find it anywhere online. Hopefully it was taken down or something. But by God, wtf is wrong this guy?! If I talk now, e go be like say I dey disrespectful. First he sabotaged us during the WC qualifiers with his gaffes and own goals, now this! |
My gut tells me Senegal might have an antidote for us. I don't know why, but I pray Egypt somehow beats them. |
yinkeys:Please send a link to the video. I wonder why Ekong would go and do such a foolish thing. ![]() |
joxxy01:Depenion how you choose to look at it. If we're talking strictly based on what they've done so far in the AFCON, and for people watching the tournament closely, it's not an upset. We're the team to beat right now. But if we're talking from a global perspective, form, achievements and statistics in the past couple of years, and in the eyes of most fans outside Africa, its a major upset and a statement win. Majority of football fans, especially non-african fans have largely written us off after our WC qualifying campaign. |
I might have to think deeper because I can't explain why at the moment, but I find Tunisia's move for Eric Chelle to be HIGHLY disrespectful. |
elyte89:E dey NFF hand now. If they like make dem jonz as usual |
