9JAMac10: We're fed up with the ALGERIA DR CONGO match. Ref, is there any way they don't play the second half of extra time 😂 and go straight to penalty kicks They must play. Algeria have worn out DR Congo massively. And vice versa I think. I still want DR Congo to win though. To me, Algeria looks more deadly. |

zicky: Exactly what I was thinking, to stop this Nigeria team, mark out Iwobi. But it will be a difficult task cos the guy drop very deep atimes giving me this Pirlo vibe. If I'm Chelle, and I notice that Iwobi is being marked out, I'm bringing in double trouble combo of Chukwueze and Onyedika. |

DR Congo don't really have much threat going forward but they're defensively compact. If they win, we'll get the most lethal attacking side vs the most disciplined defense so far. An unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. |

Neither of the teams are looking threatening so far, in my humble opinion. |

Odunayaw: I'm in a dilemma on who to hate watch in the ALG/DRC game.
Anyway, it shall be Nigeria - Egypt (or whoever beats them) final I sha want the game to be a bloodbath. Red cards and injuries flying about left right and center before the game is decided via penalties. |

Bouadi97: Hello everyone, congratulations to us on the win and the performance. Guys, Bassey will not miss the next match. The yellow cards received in the group stage are canceled in the knockout rounds, except in the case of a red card or two yellow cards in the group stage, which would result in suspension for the Round of 16. In Bassey’s case, he is available for the quarterfinals and will not be suspended As a potential opponent, I don't know if to trust you or not. Can any Nigerian here confirm this abeg? Is Calvin Bassey eligible to play in the quarter finals? |

Eric Chelle should have it in mind that Iwobi might be double marked in the quarter finals. It's clear now that he's the main guy who orchestrates our best attacking chances from deep. |

All jokes aside, Eric Chelle needs to lock up shop again and drill these boys physically and mentally. We need to be in the zone for this quarter finals. As much as we've dominated the tournament so far, the next fixture is arguably the one that will determine our fate in this AFCON. We can't be caught slipping at this crucial moment. We need all the players in harmony to function as a team and go out there and deliver. |

Mujtahida: They did like this at Tunisia 94? And on the pitch before the glare of the world? Not on the pitch, but many people in the set alluded to multiple instances of infighting, cliques and beefs in the squad. It never manifested on pitch but still... hardly any difference. I sha believe they'll get things sorted. A full day should be enough for everyone to cool off. |

Goke7: This is the Eagles' best performance I have seen in years, but No everyone dey para with Osihmen, Nigerians looking for unnecessary perfection every time. We didn't concede, no defensive mistake, Nwabali was calm but nobody see that one.
4-0 nil scoreline and the player we Dey vex with got a brace 😂 Nigerians na wa Yeah our defense seems to have improved slightly. Still far from perfect, but at least there's a bit more solidity there. |

caprikon: This SE team is going to be a nightmare for any team in this tournament. It will take a lot to edge them. The QF against DRC/Algeria is going to be spicy.
This team is currently in it's peak...the team needs to win something after the WC failures. I want that DRC/Algeria game to go to penalties. Hopefully with enough fatigue or injuries, either team might be easier to subdue in the QF. |

The good thing about this game: we bullied the hell out of Mozambique. If you thought the Tunisia game was one-sided, oh boy...
Also, we finally got a clean sheet!
The bad thing: I'm not sure what's up with Osimhen but the man needs to check his attitude. It's okay to be upset but his reaction felt like it went over the top. |

yinkeys: Quick question please But why bench a player that scored 2 goals in the last game Shouldn't Onyedika start ahead of Ndidi, The former is more offensive than the latter Spanish type of DM versus Conventional What do you guys think They shouldn't keel Kachi's fire though It's tough games against DRC, Cameroon or heavyweights we could've used Ndidi since we'd concede possession As long as Eric Chelle is coach of the national team, Ndidi is a guaranteed starter. |

Blueelf: Exactly. Very intolerable lots
You can't go to a SA football forum as a Nigerian and not get torn to pieces. Some pyschotic rhombus-shaped headed Southies would even trace you to your home to kill you all in the name of banter. If he were a Ghanaian, I'd have laughed it off because those are our brothers who can banter without hatred, but you see Southies, they are very vile and ignominious.
Omo, we Nigerians are really tolerant walahi I love Ghanaians die. They're funny like Nigerians and the pidgin twist dey make the banter sweet. This South Africans just keep pretending like they're the best thing since sliced bread even when they can't back it up. I can't understand the logic of a country who constantly underachieve in football, but assume this air of overconfidence or condescension towards other football teams. If you see the way they were trolling and insulting Cameroon before the match. Even the banter with their neighbors Zimbabwe is not friendly at all. Very toxic lots. |
