Just spoke to Mr Jimmy, the neighbour who's with late victorian phone. He said some Nairalanders had called to provide useful leads about her relatives in Lagos and Warri.

He was glad and thankful that they were now making progress as they had hitherto hit a brick wall in their quest to get information for 4 days now.

Putting this up on Nairaland is yielding dividend.

Okay, I'll keep you in the loop. Not sure if I should create a new thread in another section that gets higher hits and views on Nairaland. Who knows, that could boost the chances of that fellow seeing it.

R.I.P Ms Victoria. I feel quite sad thinking of how she used to struggle those days when we chatted and I would lend her some support. She was a very industrious person despite the hardship. Her looks totally belied the deprivations that she was experiencing.

Just got off the phone with the neighbour.

He said she stopped going to the church that she used to make reference to in her posts. Looks as though she fell out with the pastor, according to him.

She closed her fashion school in December after her students graduated and all of them had left. She only used to open the shop partially since then.

Her phone is locked and they are unable to access her phone contacts.

They know she has a step-brother living in Egbeda, but had never met him as he never visited. They also don't have his number, obviously.

They have expanded the search to Facebook and are still hopeful of a break.

I used to chat to her on phone on and off a couple of years ago until our communication died. Apparently she still had my number on her diary which was what her neighbours checked and contacted me this afternoon. They wanted to know if I was family. Told them I'd never met her in the flesh but we used to talk long time ago. They solicited my help in putting this out here with the hope that someone would know her family.

I'm going through her old posts here for some leads. Did she ever mention where her brother is located ?

Nostalgic, I saw something like this years ago as a teenager, one of our neighbours' wife died and on the burial day, her corpse was to be brought to pass through her husband compound where they lived before she died before they take her to the burial place. The vehicle got there, it was stopped, after few minutes and the driver wanted to move, the vehicle refused to start, everyone started saying she doesn't want to be taken away...after driving the children away, I don't know what they eventually did before the vehicle could start and she was taken for burial.

Mumu! What is the population of the entire ss? Do think America come together as nation by accident? It was by understanding, that understanding is what Nigeria govt want to force down people's throat which will fail.

If slave trade was abolished all over the world and independence granted to nations for self governance, why would any person think people will throw away it's freedom?

If govt itself it's a social contract then living together should be at the concession of parties.
