I just updated my WhatsApp and I noticed an upgrade where you can change language, among all the Nigerian languages it is only Hausa that was there. Hausa is indeed one of the most beautiful languages we have in Africa and a fast-growing one.

When una don convince us say the job na stop gap and person no supposed to dey do am forever, abi una wan dey do am forever like those baba wey dey use am train thier children in high institutions? Lol I'm only saying it on behalf of those people driving especially in Lagos. I sympathise with them on how those Task force extorts them daily. BAZ001: Gbam… From your personal Experience … The hustle is not sustainable We talk from experience not assumptions.
Brand new car engine self dey knock.
Na here we all dey , wey Cheerful giver matrix knock, he go ladipo taya no hope. Car no gree come back to life, before telegram group said he bought 2013 Corolla without loan. We no ask them if na with loan or HP o? Na dem just add without loan to it.
Cabu cabu, Yellow Taxi, airport taxi is more sustainable than Ehailing in Lagos All those baba’s will sleep in their parks either playing cards or ludo. You will go there to meet them, they will bill you 12k mainland to island , if you like walk round the park they will all say 12k or you lucky to get one person that will agree to go for 11,500. If they get to your house and see luggages they bill you extra for loads or turn back to their park, no stress. if they get to the road and traffic is too much, they will put of their engine, leave you in d car and go under shades and probably bill you more for traffic.
No fear of 1star or getting blocked, no drivers score No AC little fuel No fake transfer na only cash Lastma, police, LG tout they avoid them self.
. Why dem dey avoid them abeg? Abi craze pass craze |

lakoomoyi: That's why i left out 25%.
How many people can boast of that ones that has level?
I just laugh when i see people talking about sustainability in E-hauling, if you can comfortably pay bills and save small fund to plan other things, then why complain?
I see someone talking about how many E hailing driver can afford Dubai ticket, the question is how many 9 - 5 workers can afford it too, we just have to stick to what works for us and all is about each individual.
What's one definition of success? some are very contented and even consider themselves big boys or girls receiving 80K/month and living in a face to face apartment and not even planning to go or grow bigger, ome are contented with 150K salary and living in mini flat, while some own 1 or 2 house(s) and still not contented. It all boils down to your goal in life and one definition of success.
If one consider himself successful and contented owning a car or driving throughout his life on E-hailing, that's as far he can see, no problem, his life, his goal, his rule, while some are driving to safe up funds for biz, to jap or to finance a project.
Its always funny to me when I hear people say have an exit plan, the truth is that all people posting dash have plans too, Cheerful as an example, who says he doesn't have his own plan too.
Every aboki get wetin e dey pursue and wetin dey pursue am, the difference between him and most is that he is working harder, and probably working smarter and making more money than most in the same line of hustle while he still can.
We get people like pope, pearl, Glix, ReadaDream, Yeye and many more that are doing well in the biz.
Tell me about hustle wey no get him own wahala for this country.
And I apologize for the 10 pages of essay. Well, you said it all we all have our definition of contention. Cheers |

Conner44: Yes it’s true, vehicles are machines and things do get screwed up on a whim especially if it’s caused by a factory defect but concerning the issue of hitting your sump on the floor and damaging it to expose an oil leakage I will chalk up to carelessness or inexperience.
I mean, your vehicle is low, the road is terrible yet you decided to chuuk head and even did so without reducing your speed of course anything that happens next is definitely your fault.
Then when I was little, a classmate of mine’s dad was a taxi driver. He had 3 other siblings and that man trained all of them from nursery to university on a regular city taxi service job with his 504. I know this was over 25 years ago but if it was possible then tell me why it isn’t possible now especially as those same city taxis are still very much in operation with family men manning their wheels? Lol, it seems we have different visions and how we see life, No disrespect but the way you quoted how your classmates dad's trained his children to university by doing taxi work, perhaps you are the type of person that will be contented with solving his basic and immediate needs without looking into the bigger picture. If that's the case then ehailing will give such contention. But if you are the type that sees the bigger picture of freedom other than solving basic needs and "training children to University" then you need to look for an alternate source of income or plan B because ehailing won't pave that road to freedom. |

Conner44: In the case of engine knocking, compressor seizing or gearbox spoiling it’s all the resultant effects ignorance or improper maintenance.
In the case of accidents I will like to introduce you to a fairly old concept called comprehensive insurance All this vices that you listed is not ignorance somethings just tend to happen. For instance hitting of bottom plate without knowing which will result in the leaking of oil and engine knocking etc. I'm not supporting 9 to 5 jobs but I'm also not encouraging drivers to solemnly depend on Ehailinng. |

Pearl1910: Lolz... people never come and say how much they make and how well they r spending and enjoying d money...but when car spoil they will know how to type. Repairs and Maintainance is part of the Hussle...if u use ur monthly earnings on repair d next month, so be it. It's part of the risk of the job. Some bankers don't go home with their salary, some sales managers also have the same risk; paying off loses with their salary.
Every workman keeps his tool well maintained and in good working condition. Still the risks that comes with this job is on the high side. As someone said your 8 months' savings from this job can just disappear into thin air if any unforeseen circumstances happen. (Accident, Engine knock etc) God forbid While salary and other low-risk businesses you will always have peace of mind and less problem to worry about |

Barbiturate: I went there today. They scanned it. Its the compressor. They said I'll change it and also change the condenser. They'll give off the gas and refill. Everything plus workmanship 140k!!!
I just fixed the engine few months back cos it shorts oil. Changed rings and some other parts around it. Spent about 150k.
Na like this I go take hit the millions ba?! Same thing Vikings and Baz001 plus Muhammadson and the rest are trying to point out. This hustle will wreck your car while you were thinking you are earning big. This ehailing work supposes to be part-time. Pearl and cheerful giver are not telling us the downside of the business they are always pointing out the good side until investors such as Dru would come in due to the mouthwatering dashboard thinking they will hit it big which is not the case. Sorry bro |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by fk001(m): 4:16pm On Oct 04, 2022 |
Conner44: My brother don’t mind them. They think every job is the same. As a new employee, with below 3 years experience unless you’re into oil firms, politics or Infotech and working for an overseas coy you can’t earn the type of cash that e hailing gives you.
True getting a job is good but before you start achieving you must have worked for some amount of years and taking extra courses first to climb the career ladder. I know people in the banking industry that have worked for donkey years yet earn peanuts with the hope that once they retire they will receive gratuity. Even government workers don’t earn that much but hope for pensions and bonuses.
You drive on inDriver and make approximately N30k every single day, if you keep it up for one month that’s at least N500k in your bank as savings and this is as someone who has no prior job experience or taking extra career courses or calling someone ‘yes sir’ as a servant
I know someone who just landed a job in the IT department of a new generation bank and his total pay is approximately N400k (without subtracting tax, loans etc). This person will buy food for his family, fuel for gen, pay monthly utility bills and other personal overhead like data subscriptions, groceries, laundry etc even before he can start looking to save for rent, kids school fees, vehicle purchase, landed property, family and friends emergency monetary help, medical bills etc. and the worst is that due to the economic situation of the country and it’s draconian policies you can get laid off or retrenched at any time
My brother . . . Which is now the rat race between e hailing and an entry job in Nigeria?
Asides from unforeseen incidents in ehailing like Lastma/task force impounding your vehicle, accidents, periodic maintenance or license renewal what else is stopping you from making that money on the road ?
Let’s say you just graduated, found a job in a bank, they are paying you N250k a month after taxes, you then decide to park you car in the company garage from 7am till 5pm all because someone tells you that it’s better to have a salaried job than drive on ehailing full time , you then close from work and say you will still drive a little after working till like 9pm before heading home and make an extra N10k or thereabouts from it to add to your salary daily.
N10k in 30 days is N300k plus your salary of N250k = N550k (before tax). Now start subtracting your overhead as I mentioned above (feeding, maintenance, savings etc) and how much are you then left with? meanwhile the person who graduated and used his vehicle strictly for e hailing full time has already saved N500k after all expenses
You who is working and driving will struggle for years on the job to progressively clinch promotions to increase your basic salary (an increase of less than N50k at most per promotion) while the guy driving manages to make the same approximate pay month-in and out and is able to purchase his new cars in a few months, pay his rent in a few months, buy his lands in a few months, start building in a few months etc so far his health and zeal on the road allows for it
See, the only people I know who will never work at a job and consider driving part-time on ehailing (if they had the opportunity) are those who earn roughly N500k and above OR they just don’t fancy moving the whole of Lagos upandan.
I’m not advocating for people to resign from their jobs oh, I’m just pointing out some scenarios that are in line with reality. Do what works for you and try to make hay while the sun shines. The problem is you are just short sighted you don't look at the long-run scenario. I know many people that are working and with time they climb up to the top hierarchy and so their salary increased. Muhamdson, Dru and so many others cannot say the same about Ehailing |

BAZ001: God will bless cornner44 for me, even though I want Mohammedson to deal with him on behalf of me and Dru…
Ehailing was used to pay bills, food to eat and car maintenance. If I get 100k job in Nigeria, I would have been driving bolt only on weekends and will never resign.
Google how much be flight ticket now and see if ordinary ehailing driver can afford it. People working in big coys will still sell property to relocate abroad. By d time u convert millions of Naira to dollars and aboki give you dollars you go hate Buhari the more.
I’m not talking down on the job, stop twisting my words, I’m only saying don’t sleep in it, you can’t break even or sustain a family with it. Na job wey no dey make some of us drive olosho up & down. ScamHunter: You're not making sense just like your APC government. these people were unarmed and your government went against them with guns and killed so many. Now they're armed and you still support your army to kill innocent people. Are you not a fool? Don't you know that's why Boko Haram became formidable today? They too were unarmed years ago. When soldiers kill non combatants, they make it easy for local militia to recruit new foot soldiers. Those families you kill their brothers would have other surviving brothers join and carry gun. Boko Haram is already decimating your soldiers. ISWAP too. And now unknown gunmen. Can your army fight one group effectively not to talk three? These are all organized militant groups with military or quasi military trainings. I didn't even count the well armed bandits in NW. When the body count becomes unbearable and people become afraid of joining the military as they are already afraid, what happens then? Asymetric warfare is hard to win. US failed in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. Russia failed in Afghanistan. They'll also fail in Ukraine when the Ukrainians are finally defeated and resort to guerilla tactic. Nigerian Army will also fail in the NE and SE. That's certain. If they fail the country is gone and not even your hatred for Igbo would stop that. That's why it's sensible to be Sensible and embrace dialogue and peace. What's the dialogue about? Give them Biafra right? No country will let part of it's territory to seccedd so easily |

How many bolt drivers fit comfortably boast of having 200k cash in their account? Na after I join a group I know say majority are just surviving on loans. Last week one guy in the group was looking for 10k loan make he use pay bolt commission.
The best way to enjoy this hustle is by keeping your operational costs very very low. If you can save up & get a car of 900k-1.2m, it is way better than hp car of 5m. Anybody wey fall for the eldorado stories here about buying cars in 3yrs OYO. Lol, my guy, your thought about this hustle has started aligning with that of Baz001.
