Lol. anyways, I am about to jump into animation and visual effects after months of modelling and rendering and years of photomanipulations In order to jump-start the program, I am considering going to an animation school as soon as possible.

Never been a fan of going to school to study design things, but I want to learn standard, industry-strength animation and compositing. Self-help would take far longer I can afford.

I find the arts highly exhilarating. Hopefully, by this time next year, I should be posting shorts and stuff.

Anyways, I hope you guys learn more, experience more. if I ever get to be in a position to help,I will.

interesting story. the 3d isn't bad sha. I am actually more impressed in your art impression. I just thought a Wacom tablet and Z -brush would task you and make you a conventional pro. Hug a discipline before you become a jack-of-all-trade.

I am not gifted in drawing, so I try my best to compete against the 'naturAL artists', both 2D and 3d

Truth is, Google is your greatest friend, but Passion and Drive is what makes u a good designer.
the works you see here is the culmination of months of hard, dogged practice, and thousands of hours spent in front of a computer cooling tutorials or free-styling on photoshop. My 3d designs above are done in c4d.

I have not been on a photoshop website in about two years now. been too busy. can only advice you to Google them. there is nothing much to it,really.

u so-called 'designers' of these days are just so arrogant and obsessed. the stuff above ain't even nice at all. it is downright amateurish design at best. this isn't the time to be challenging others. keep learning bro. when u r done, come back and impress.

After I began teaching myself to design on Jan 1, 2008 . I never put my stuff online cos I was ashamed. I simply gave the impression that I was a genius designer when I suddenly started posting (only my closest friends saw my work while I laboured day and night on the Internet, going thru literally thousands of tutorials in those early days). The world has moved fast o. Up your game before you expect us to praise you.

Learn some more. When u come up here, learn to be criticised. I may speak harshly, but the pipu who know me know that's my style.

Also, I am sorry for you, touting big bucks over knowledge. Have you not heard that knowledge is power? U think big bucks is my problem? Set a standard of awesomeness, and all other things shall be added unto you. Companies will crawl.at your feet.

U think Google is for those who don't know anything? How conceited. Tell me the truth, if not for the internet,computer village and crackz, would you have ever been able to afford an original photoshop/CorelDraw software package? Don't be silly. The lesser grow by leaning on and learning from the greater.

Due to @erad's subtle coercion, here is a sample of my logo stuff. I am not the best logo designer, I admit, and I have zero drawing skills, but I dare say (with courage borne of three years experience, grace and very hard learning) that I design class.

Truth is, you aren't much of a graphic designer, at least not yet. no amount of insult will make me change ya mind.

its okay sha. the type of people I work with won't take the sort of thing you design. My fellow respected designers wudnt even deign to believe that the stuff above is a logo.

carry on. we all have different levels of professionalism. enjoy yourself on the lower rungs.

Logos should not contain gradients, especially unnecessary ones like those above.

that red stuff in the loop of your P disturbs the eye,as it has no patent meaning.

The logos actually look like web icons. I wudnt take any of those from you *shrug*


also, we don't know what the wing stuff cud possibly mean in a design company. In fact, this is just like a doodle,not an actual planned design.

hint : before u design stuff, go online and see what obtains. Google is your friend.

in my opinion, any university graduate worth his salt shud be able to at least teach an SS class about seven subjects..even if it will require some brushing up. I studied computer science... but the only courses I won't bother teaching are Literature, chemistry and maybe accounts.

I hate it when corpers complain about the ordinary O level course they are being required to teach..'I didn't study government in universit o, I read Econs'

a lot of us are dumb people sha. we nigerian graduates don't impress at all. at camp, I was appalled by the efficiency of people who supposedly read Mass Comm. I was the editor at the OBS... and I read Computer Science. most nigerian graduates can't write three correct newspaper-worthy sentences :##(

I serve in Kaiama, Kwara state. the schools there prefer Muslim education at the detriment of conventional style. I am still distraught over the state of my students.

SS2 students can't work out simple multiplication on the board. Some of the blame definitely goes to the corpers. some of us just travel out of our PPA and spend weeks at home only to return in time for clearance. its like we forget we will have children one day.

The students will go half a term without ever seeing some of their corper teachers. I feel terrible...but dat is the state of things in our naija.

my principal teaches SS3 biology...hut they see him about twice a term. when they complained about the difficult exam questions, they were insulted by a passing teacher :'''(
