PoliticsWe’re Identifying Banks, Countries Where Stolen Funds Were Lodged — Buhari by Flairoqy(op): 9:06am On Aug 04, 2015
President Muhammadu Buhari said on Monday that his administration has taken further steps to recover looted Nigerian funds by identifying the banks and countries where the monies were lodged.
Speaking at an audience with visiting United States Congressmen at the presidential villa, Abuja, Mr. Buhari acknowledged the support and cooperation given his administration by the international community in gathering all required intelligence for tracing and recovering stolen national resources.
“We are getting cooperation from the international community, including information on ships that take crude oil from Nigeria and change direction, or pour their contents into other ships mid-stream,” he said.
“Some monies were paid to individual accounts. We are identifying the financial institutions and countries that are involved.
“I have been assured that when we get all our documents together, the United States and other countries will treat our case with sympathy,’’ the president told the Congressmen led by Darrel Issa.
President Buhari also told the lawmakers that his administration will encourage more regular meetings of the Nigeria-United States Bi-National Commission.
He said the commission could serve as a more useful platform for the promotion of bilateral trade and economic relations as well as joint cooperation in the war against terrorism.
Mr. Darrel assured President Buhari that the United States will support Nigeria against Boko Haram by providing training, intelligence and military platforms.
“We look forward to helping you in many ways to end the Boko Haram insurgency and the theft of crude oil in the Gulf of Guinea,’’ he said.

CelebritiesGhanian Singer, Stonebwoy Turns Down $80,000 Glo Deal – See Why by Flairoqy(op): 6:45am On Jul 16, 2015
BET Award winner, Stonebwoy has reportedly turned down an offer to become a brand ambassador for huge telecommunications company, Glo.
According to reports from Ghana, the artiste and his management have allegedly turned down the $80,000 offer and associated benefits on the grounds that the offer is too small and that the award winning act deserves far more than that.
Sources added that a number of conditions set in the contract are also deemed unfavorable to the ‘Pull Up’ singer hence his decision to turn it down. Such conditions include the inability of the artiste to perform at events organised by rival brands such as MTN, Etisalat and others. Stonebwoy’s rejection of the contract leaves the offer to a number of other Ghanaian celebs seeking to join the Glo train as brand ambassadors or seeking an extension of their contracts.

PoliticsBuhari Is The President Of All Nigerians - Presidency by Flairoqy(op): 10:32pm On Jul 15, 2015
The presidency has denied the reports that President Muhammadu Buhari expressed anti-Igbo comments in a recent interview to the BBC Hausa Service.

Garba Shehu, the presidential spokesperson, released a statement, noting that the pirate radio Biafra, which was allegedly closed by the government two days ago, lied against the president.
Meanwhile, the recent news say that the radio station keeps broadcasting in the southern part of Nigeria.

The presidency said that Radio Biafra’s message was “ completely false, malicious, and slanderous.”
Shehu added that “the voice being ascribed to President Buhari in the recording repeatedly played back by the pirate radio station is definitely not the President’s and the claim that the station got the recording from a BBC interview is totally untrue.”
“The BBC Hausa Service Editor, Mr. Mansor Liman has distanced the BBC from the false interview clip being ascribed by the pirate radio station to President Buhari.”
Moreover, according to the statement, President Buhari has not had any interview with the BBC’s Hausa Service since his assumption of office as supposed by the agents of disunity behind the pirate radio station’s inflammatory and divisive broadcasts.
“The last interview he had with the BBC Hausa Service, lasting not more than five minutes, was on the day he was declared winner and given his certificate of return as President-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission,” the presidential aide said.
Shehu added that President Buhari is the President of all Nigerians and would continue to treat all residents on the basis of fairness, equality and equity.

“Nigerians should therefore ignore all propaganda designed to sow seeds of discord among them and promote a separatist agenda against national unity, solidarity and progress ,” the statement concluded.

PoliticsAPC Have Been Unfair To Tinubu – Akande by Flairoqy(op): 9:16pm On Jul 15, 2015
All Progressives Congress Chieftain in Lagos state, Chief Ayo Akande had yesterday revealed that the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu might not trust other leaders of the APC entirely due to the recent turn of events in the sharing of principal offices in the National Assembly.
In a statement, Akande said that the disrespect for the party’s position in the sharing of the National Assembly’s principal offices by some members is a sign of the betrayal of the trust that Tinubu reposed in the party.
The party chieftain said, “You can imagine the response of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, to the crisis in the National Assembly. Saraki said his ‘hands are tied’ and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogora, said what was going on in the House ‘is politics.’ Must everything that is indecent be politics? This is unfair to the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Tinubu.”
Akande noted that the actions of “most leaders of the party and the nine dissidents from the Peoples Democratic Party on the crisis rocking the APC were clear demonstration of disloyalty to the party and its national leader.”
He said, “What is going on in the party is not only an affront to Tinubu but also a cheat on the entire membership of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, who fought for the success of the APC during the last general election with everything they had.
“The simple arithmetic is that the vice-president and speaker is equal to the president. If the Presidency went to the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, both the vice-president and the speaker positions should go to the former ACN. The senate president could come from the defunt All Nigeria Peoples Party. Anything short of that is cheating on the ACN.”
The APC internal crisis had begun after the inauguration of the National Assembly on June 9th, when Saraki and Dogara emerged as house leaders against APC’s obvious choice for the position.

Gradually money is coming. We'll become so rich
PoliticsSpain Buys €6.5bn Oil From Nigeria by Flairoqy(op):
The Spanish Government on Tuesday said it bought oil and gas worth 6.5 billion Euros from Nigeria in 2014.
The Spanish Ambassador to Nigeria, Alfonso Sebastian de Erice, disclosed this while on a visit to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, at the National Assembly.
While appreciating existing bilateral relations between Spain and Nigeria, Erice expressed readiness of his country to help Nigeria to boost local production of crude oil by partnering to transform existing refineries in the country.
He also said that Spain was prepared to partner Nigeria in agricultural development.
“Spain is one of the partners of Nigeria, the first or the second best client; we buy 6.5 billion Euros worth of oil and gas.
“We are very happy with the exchanges that we have, and we need the oil but we want to diversify because we think it is very important that our economic relations should not be only in gas and petrol.
“We want to cooperate with you in agriculture; we have very good agricultural industry. We have comparative advantage in tourism, manufacturing.
“ We have several treaties that allow us to work here. It is a domain that we will have to explore.
‘’For us, the oil business is important because we need it but we want to diversity and I know that Nigerian authorities also want to diversify,” he said.
On terrorism in the country, the envoy said that his country was ready to provide support towards combating the menace, adding that Spain and Nigeria had signed several Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) on training on anti-terrorism.
Responding, Dogara said that Nigeria appreciated Spain’s offer to help in fighting terrorist, noting that the country had experience of insurgency as it had faced and overcame such problems in the past.
He said that Nigeria had a lot in common with Spain and called for further assistance to enable Nigeria to diversify its economy.
In a related development, Dogara pledged support for the development of tourism, mineral resources and other sectors in Cross River.
He made the pledge when the Cross River Caucus in the House paid him a courtesy visit.
The speaker, however, urged the lawmakers to shun personal interests as there was the need to compensate those who suffered during the electioneering campaign by promoting pro-people agenda which included employment generation and security. (NAN).

undecidedbrothers do I have to worship Jesus before i become a true Christian? Jesus is the son of God as said but used to spread the gospel of God to people going astray. but due to miraculous signs and wonders, his followers were ignorant of his maker and now serve Jesus. instead of God the creator of heaven and earth to receive the prayers of his people. a
All the prayers are now dedicated to Jesus Christ his vessel of honor. the bible said God is a jealous God, what do y'all think? instead of "in the name of our lord/almighty God" its otherwise.
