Gender neutral bathrooms are for the queer and trannies. I think they should remain that way cause there's no way in hell I will go nude in the presence of a gay man. I don't play with naked live wire. If a woman considers it inappropriate to pee in my presence or take a bath except we're romantically linked, I don't see why I should pee or take a bath with a gay man I'm not romantically linked to.
It was not regarded as normal even in prehistoric times. It was seen as deviation. The only difference was that as some time in the so-called age of civilisation, it was considered tolerable. But was never acceptable or normal.
Gender neutral bathroom exists for everyone and not just queers and like I said you can never know someone is queer until they tell you

It was considered natural and normal since ancient times but go off

We are not all men. Gay men want to have sex with other men. Straight men want to have sex with women. That's a fundamental difference that makes bathing in the presence of the other untenable. It's just a shower? I wonder why you don't use that same argument to have women and men share same restrooms. After all we're all humans and can control our urges. I didn't get the memo you're the spokesman for all gays to tell me who is checking who out or not.
Homosexuality was never a norm. It was seen as deviant behaviour to be tolerated at best from prehistoric times. If you doubt that, show me a picture of two men or women getting married from any civilisation except this one.
The level of tolerance might have differed but never has homosexual relationship been seen as normal or acceptable in any society
Men and women do share restrooms, they are called gender-neutral bathrooms. Besides,if they don't tell you they are gay? How on earth will you even know?

Who is talking about marriage? I'm saying gay people were not seen as less than human beings back in prehistoric times,it was a normal and natural sexual variant even if marriage were never involved

@the bolded, are you aware you're unwittingly saying a woman who refuses to share bathroom with men has condemned men as sexual offenders. A gay man is attracted to men. He should therefore not be tempted by exposure or interaction with men so as not to create a situation of indecent exposure and harassment. I would expect gay people to fight for their separate bathrooms just as heterosexual do. It's not discrimination, it's decency. Only people of same sex and sexuality can safely be exposed without fear of sexual excitement brewing. Claiming to be gay and wanting to bath or dress in same room with same sex is illogical and tantamount to wanting to have your cake after eating it.

Black people or Jews don't need a flag to celebrate them because being of a certain race is not something anyone forces on others. It's gay people that are in that trade.
Homosexuality is a old as man. Yet it as always been known to be a perversion even among different races. Even among the permissive arian race, it was still known as a perversion. So, there's nothing about homosexuality that can be said to be novel or latter day sexual enlightenment
Dude, it's just a shower and we are all men, it's not that deep,no one is checking you out so don't give yourself that much credit

Also, homosexuality was a norm and never an deviant sexuality in various cultures so your history is either laxed or brick walled and no one is forcing their sexuality down your throat,if it's anything.....you homophobes are known for doing that, who started the various forms of conversion therapy to force straightness down our throats? I will give you a hint,it wasn't gay people

First of all, Where's the anti- racism flag or anti- semitism flag? I can boldly say those two have faced worse forms of discrimination yet I don't see a flag celebrating being black or Jew.

As for sharing bathrooms, I usually wonder why it is alright for straight women to refuse sharing same bathroom with a straight male but it's not alright for straight women to refuse sharing bathroom with a gay female.
I will surely not be comfortable knowing that someone who can get aroused at the size of my penis or butt shares a bathroom with me regardless of whether the individual is male or female
. It's my sexual sanity I'm concerned about not what the other person thinks.
I personally see it as an denigration of my privacy and harassment if I'm asked to see a gay male as I would a straight male. They are poles apart.
No one is stopping you from creating a flag to celebrate them? Ok,you wanna rant about oppression Olympics to decide who've had it worse? Ok,I will bite.....
What about someone who's black,Jewish and gay? Why are you denying the "gay" facet of that person's reality because you don't fit with it? That person is a triple minority and you can say whatever you want for the other two identities but those existence and identities isn't clamoring jail term on those basis like you homophobes do to queer people besides the LGBT+ community isn't a race, it's a diverse community with variants of beliefs within it

As for the bolded, you have already condemned that person to a serial sex offender all because of their identity. It's just the case of the sportsperson I'm talking about, all through the years,he's been teammate with this gay guy and they were even great friends playing together, showering together even sleeping on the same bed with his buddy when they go to various cities to play, the gay athlete never even came out to the straight one or other teammates for that matter because he thought he had friends that are way past that. The straight one decided to plan a double date between him and his then fiance with his buddy and the "woman" his buddy will bring......in a surprising turn of events, his buddy arrived with a man to the date and called the guy his boyfriend, the straight guy pretended to go with it despite being shocked so as not to be seen as an asshole but ever since that, things were no longer the same,he distanced himself from the gay guy, stopped showering with him after training and whatnot.....it hurts because this is a guy whom you have known for years as a friend, just because he's attracted to men doesn't change his personality or how you should see him,he never showed interest on the straight guy,not once even the straight guy was surprised when he found out his buddy is gay as he said he was shocked he never touched him in a sexual way before but couldn't let go of the inherent bias he had for gay men. As an athlete, are you telling me you are gonna throw a great friendship down the drain when you found out your friend and teammate is gay,a friend that has never showed interest in you before not even once? Really,is your definition of friendships really that shallow and superficial? You just judged someone you know because of one identity in his life?

You seem to have a brilliant piece here, but I'll beg to digress.
1. You mentioned "Orientation". What does orientation mean? Simply means directing ones thought or cognitive resources towards a thing. While I do not have all the facts on what makes a person gay, I do understand that it can be learnt as a habit. You see it being done, you see gay people around and soon you accept it as a normal, soon you have no problems experimenting with it.
It still beats me how most recent movies and shows have unnecessary gay scenes in them.

2. Kids who's mind are almost tabula rasa absorb information and data at an alarming rate. Little kids being bombarded with this negative information soon will have it ingrained in them and won't have any qualms trying it out or orienting themselves in that direction.

3. Society is a sum total of the actions of every individual in that society. I do not need to emphasize or overemphasize the role healthy heterosexual orientation and relationships play in balancing a society.

4. Other than the economic opportunities and fortune in the West and America (which we all know how it came about) there's nothing else to be desired in those societies as it stands.

5. And why do the West and America have to always come to tell us what to do?

6. They told our parents to quit marrying multiple wives but stick to one as it's bad and offends their God they sold to us.

7. Now they're coming to tell us that it's okay for a man to marry a man and a woman a woman.

8. Do we have to always do as told?
I'm just glad you are aware of your own implicit bias via the bolded because it's obvious you literally know nothing about human sexuality

Your 3 and 5 are contradictory.
And there lies the problem. Balance. It's a fight for space and power. Every ideology wants a piece of the pie. The LGBTQ movement don't just want to be left alone, they rather want to be acknowledged as existing and right, and good, or rather the best.
What's the business of LGBTQ with football for example. Why the push for gay priests in churches?
Why have a flag and pride day, special bars and events? If they want to be seen as normal, everyday people, I don't think they need a flag to do that. The US Press Secretary is not being celebrated because she's the first black to hold that position but more, she's the first gay black. When did who you sleep with become an important factor to consider in job placements.
So, don't get it twisted. Your 3 does not gel. LGBTQ don't want to be left alone. Instead, they want to be revered and adored like pop Queens and Kings.
Now let me school you because as a straight person, it's obvious you are wallowing in straight privilege

Queer people have been shamed for engaging in sports because it's been viewed as an hyper macho environment, there was even a footballer that said if he found out a teammate is gay,he refuses to share a locker room of bathroom with them.... isn't that discriminatory enough keeping queer people in sports in the closet? meanwhile straight people in sports can bring their significant other and partner to come watch them and show support and still "push in our faces" that this is their spouse yet no one will make an offensive remark

When you straight ask the bolded,i always laugh at the privilege you have that you ain't even aware of,pride was created to celebrate the fact that the community no longer faces hate which is something that still happens today so whenever you ask why a pride flag or pride exists,be thankful you don't have one.

It's not really surprising that you'd find them predictable. Afterall, yesterday's mind-bending plot twists become tomorrow's overused tropes.
What left audiences shocked years back is now par for the course in recent times.

Same with the technological factors. Colour TVs were once the peak of home media devices. Something you lorded over your peasant neighbours with their black-and-white TVs. Since then, we've moved on to 8K resolutions.
Doesn't change the fact then when folks gathered around the old box TV back in the day, they thought that was the best that media visuals could get.
Same with sound.

As a zoomer,I want to know the obsession boomers have with TV of then because they keep claiming TV was better then than it is now. I did try to watch from the 60s-80s but damn It was bad as the plot was super-predictable, terrible picture, sound quality and over-acting just didn't make last long enough,I can suffer through that pain when it comes to movies of the "Golden age of Hollywood" and not series (Hollywood has really gone a long way) so I'm starting my own 90s marathon. I accept we had in some cultures sexual display or habits that parallels homosexuality, but not rife everywhere.

That's my position. You should have understood that first, before jumping in with your emotional rant.

The sources, your friend kept inundating me with , only contain few instances in some remote regions in Africa, where what can be likened to same sex relationship was observed
Those few cases, I have maintained were not representative enough for the whole of Africa for anyone to generalise with.

If you want to join him in such stupid generalisation, then provide figures, not just empty commentaries alone, of the actual number of cultures that same sex relationship was observed during those period. Provide accurate data or something much closer to it. That's what I ask for.

A remote region in Lesotho where 'same sex relationship was observed, is not all of that country. The same with a remote part of Uganda, Nigeria and elsewhere mentioned in those articles.

10% of something or less than that figure, is not 90% of that same thing Anyone who says it's, need their heads examined.

As for your "Massa's d**k", please next time ensure you don't skip your medications.
