PoliticsFinal Phase Of Maiduguri Gas Power Plant Completed by Flathead8(op): 4:28pm On Jul 10, 2023
Final phase of Maiduguri Gas Power Plant completed

Installation of a liquefied natural gas tank at the Maiduguri Emergency Gas Power Plant has been completed.

Greenville LNG, the company contracted for the project confirmed the development in a statement issued through its LinkedIn page on Friday.

'We are pleased to announce that Greenville LNG, in partnership with NNPC, has achieved a successful and on-schedule installation of the LNG tank and equipment at the Maiduguri Power Plant.

'This collaborative project holds great promise for driving positive economic growth and creating new business opportunities in Borno, Maiduguri.

'The successful completion of this endeavor further underscores Greenville's steadfast commitment to leadership in the oil and gas sector and its unwavering dedication to promoting the utilization of gas in Nigeria,' the statement read,’ part of the statement read.

The 50-megawatt power plant was initially designed with a diesel and gas competent.

President Muhammadu Buhari, March 2, 2023 officially commissioned the project with only the diesel component.

The completion of the gas component is considered another milestone achievement for the reliable and sustainable electricity generation.

The power project was necessitated by the extended power outages experienced in the state capital as a result of vandalism of transmission line along Maiduguri-Damaturu Road by the insurgents.

This installation LNG tank, by Greenville, means the gas power plant can begin full operation and supply of power to Borno state and environs.

After Yoruba, the presidency will go back SS?
Raskimonojendor:
Hausa/Fulani just had power for 8 years so lamenting is allowed. After the Yorubas, it will go back to SS, and maybe the North again.

Lol "The average Ibo cares not for politics or hand outs.", this is the biggest lie ever told, you can tell that to your fellow flat.heads but certainly not me! That's why you guys wanted to kill yourself on Obi's manhood

You are running away on daily basis from your erosion/potopoto/HIV ravaged region to lagos and north. We will always get appointments ahead of Ibo, deal with it and don't pull us into your misery
zeuss:
Ibo will always survive and thrive. The average Ibo cares not for politics or hand outs. In all this he feels safer and fares 1000 times better with a Yoruba man even the cowardly fanatical Yoruba muslims are warm to embrace in comparism to the covertiously blood thirsty you. You impunity more than all your vice, remain ur greatest undoing.

FYI u will cry the most by the Tinubu is done with balancing this evil space your people have contrived.
A barren backward region , populated by unfeeling self centered ingrates.

I'm not Yoruba too but I fully support Tinubu as long as he doesn't appoint any Ibo person, look at the least, there are 4 northerners, how many Ibo?

We have the VP, DSP, SGF, Speaker, DSS, EFCC, NDLEA and 14 special aides out of 43. How many does the Ibo have? You shall continue to be the third class citizen that you are

It's the Yoruba turn, let them enjoy, we just finish our 8yrs, it can't always be about the north
zeuss:
Even though I am an obedient and not Yorba I totally stand with tinubu on his SW tilt. So long as he don't try to appease the north with appointments, he must learn from GEJ's bitter experience, rather he must empower his people like the north empowers dangote, rabiu and the northern region. Ongoing now is the kano-kaduna, Katina - Niger republic, Kano-Niger republic railline with nothing in the SE their impunity na legend.
Yoruba eku abo, the skies can never fall just remember you southern brothers.
Let's have NDA, war college, army depot etc in every geopolitical zone, just as they did with Nigeria law school.
State house dodan barracks should also be useful.
Every inch of the geopolitical space Nigeria is Nigeria and everybody is a Nigerian.

That project is ongoing too.

Kano is like Lagos to northerners, including neighbouring countries like Niger and Chad. It would have make more sense if Kaduna is linked to Kano first.
But Buhari knew subsequent government might not extend the rail beyond Kano, reason he embark on Kano to Maradi which will pass through Daura.

PoliticsNNPCL Partners THLD Group To Establish LNG/CNG Regasification Plants And Station by Flathead8(op): 5:03pm On Jul 08, 2023
NNPCL partners THLD Group to establish LNG/CNG Regasification Plants and Stations in Kano.

This is in an effort to promote and encourage the adoption of Autogas as alternate energy source. The program is Aimed at providing gas Regasification and Refilling Stations in Northern Nigeria for access to clean and sustainable energy.

Natural gas is commonly transported and stored in liquid state because its volume is decreased about 600 times compared to at gaseous state. For transport over long distances or when pipelines for natural gas are not available, the gas can be transported as liquified natural gas (LNG) after which its converted back to gas for consumption.

Liquefied natural gas must be regasified to be used as fuel, power generation, for heating, cooking. The Natural Gas in natural form is liquified by cooling to about -162oC to enable transportation and then heated to Atmospheric Temperature to regassify for consumption.

The program upon completion will have the capacity to fuel 400 vehicles with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) daily.

Remember, a kg of CNG will cover almost twice the distance covered by normal petrol. Petrol is now N550/liter while CNG is at most N100-200 per kg. With present minimum wage and the economic reality, the best bet is CNG.

Autogas is the new normal whether we like it or not.

Convert your engine today, travel safely and economically while protecting the environment.
