i hope the officials will not penalize me for late submission, i.e submitting two weeks before resumption. my school says that they can give me 1 wk extra b4 i start. What do u think?

Is there any reason why you want to submit on the 23rd of Dec? It is good that your school is giving you a week extra

11 or 12 working days I think, I really can't remember. You should be able to meet up with your school if you submit your application on the 23rd of Dec. Just make sure you have all the necessary documents needed for your application

my school starts on the 14th of january 2010. will it be too late to apply for a stdents visa on the 23rd of dec 2009? i just realised that i have to keep my money in my personal acc for at least 28 days

Well, it depends on how long it takes to process your application after you submit. They might tell you to check back after 10 working days or longer. So, count 10 working days from the 23rd of Dec.

I will say go with what moosieh said. I looked up booking through Emirates to the US also. Flying with Emirates will take you directly to Dubai before you join a connecting flight to George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) then finally to Herndon Airport (MCO). I tend to believe Emirates tickets are cheaper also, they offer a very affordable price to London compare to other airlines. I will suggest you give them a call or go over to Murtala Muhammed International Airport to inquire

Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries by flekan(m): 9:23pm On Nov 28, 2009

@keneyinks

It is 28 days and not just 28 working days. You just have to make sure the money required was in the account for a minimum of[b] 28 days. You can even submit a bank statement of 3 months as long as the money needed is in the account

@ella1

You said it yourself that 28days was written on the BHC website. You will only be told to count working days after you submitted your application, You can read through the thread from the beginning. It won't kill if you submit a bank account of 30 or 40 days also
