DSP Alkali Mohammed was killed alongside two other officers during the Rivers state legislative rerun election yesterday December 10th. The election was marred by violence in some parts of the state. Five other police officers who served during the election are reportedly missing.

A motorcyclist lost his life this afternoon in a fatal accident at Chevron Roundabout just by the Lekki Conservation Center.

A tipper driver who reportedly caused the accident attempted to run but was apprehended and beaten up.


He has been handed over to the police...

One of the simmering news to start this week is the departure of singer Harrysong from former label Five Music.

While that is still very hot and trending, there is more juice about Harrysong exit from Five Star Music. The “Reggae Blues” crooner had some “itchy truth” as to why he left his former record label after his contract expired. The Delta state born singer made some very uncomfortable revelations on Planet TV interview.

Harrysong first of all cleared the air that “ALTER PLATE” is not a record label but his music company. Now the real reason he quit Five Music is lack of appreciation.

Harrysong gave an inside on his services at Five Music. He said he did most of the song writing, vocal coaching, he was also the music director while at the label.

However, he said his efforts was not appreciated. Harrysong is quoted to have said “Your helping someone who knows nothing and the person is feeling like he is helping you.”

Members of the House of Reps have ordered its committee on Banking, Currency, and Financial Crimes to investigate the activities of Mavrodi Mondial Moneybox (MMM) scheme in Nigeria.


According to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, the house called for the investigation following growing concerns that the scheme is a scam.


They worry that the scheme in Nigeria is not being regulated by any financial regulatory body and that many Nigerians may lose their investments like other participants of the scheme in Russia that have previously lost their investments.
