Dr. Tracy Sin-Yee Tam, the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital doctor shot dead by a former employee with a grudge, was supposed to be off duty when Dr. Henry Bello showed up. ..“She normally works in the clinic,” Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Chief Dr. Sridhar Chilinurisaid. “Yesterday she was asked to cover one of the physicians who was out.”

“She was on the floor at the time (Bello attacked). She was scheduled to cover only yesterday.” ..


Tam, a 32-year-old family medicine doctor had been working at Bronx-Lebanon for about a year and had no interaction with Bello, who was forced to resign two years ago in disgrace amid claims he had sexually harassed at least one staffer. ..

Police found her body just a few feet from Bello, who had taken his own life a few moments after shooting Tam and another doctor, who survived, on the 17th floor, sources said. ..

One patient and four more hospital employees were also wounded, hospital staffers said. Tam’s neighbors described the doctor as a friendly woman who kept to herself.

Some rice farmer are currently receiving treatment at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital after they were attacked by Fulani herdsmen in North Bank, Makurdi on Tuesday, June 20


According to Ukan Kurugh, after butchering the farmers, the herdsmen led their cows into the farm and started grazing."While we were busy on a peaceful protest today to Government House Makurdi to show support to the governor for passing and signing the anti grazing bill into law and to also frown @ the various threat/comments by the Miyyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) innocent rice farmers were however butchered @ North Bank across the bridge when they were farming rice and herdsmen walked onto the farm and started grazing.


The result is what you are seeing below as the injured farmers were rushed to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital. These people (fulanis) have been showing themselves inspite of the passing and signing of the anti grazing bill into law.


The Fulani herdsmen are still threatening the indigenous and peace loving people of Benue state.

This is the current deplorable state of the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Obubra Local Government Area of Cross River State. Meanwhile, the Orientation exercise was moved temporarily to Cross River State College of Education (COE), Akampka to give way for the renovation and rehabilitation of the Permanent camp.


However, the Cross River State Commissioner forYouth and Sports Development and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Board Chairman of Cross River State, Hon Asu Okang said the move is only temporary as the state government has nointention to move the camp from Obubra LGA.


Comr Okang made this known through a media chat held on Wednesdayin Calabar with the Leadership of Obubra Local Government Area.
