The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has demolished Caramelo Lounge.

This is coming weeks after some strippers were arrested at the popular nightclub.

The lounge was pulled down, on Monday morning, after the FCTA’s claim that the club is located in a residential area and it use as a nightclub violates the Master Plan.

In honor of Mother’s Day this year, former US first lady Michelle Obama shared this adorable photo of herself posing with her mom, Marian Robinson and her daughters, Malia and Sasha Obama to celebrate the special day.

She also accompanied the post with a sweet note about her mom, writing:

An ex-convict, Sina Adeoye, has been arrested for killing one Pastor Emmanuel Ogedengbe of a Cherubim and Seraphim church, located around Agugu area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

This is coming 3 years after he was arrested for being the ring leader of a dare-devil six-man gang of ritaualists cum human parts seller in Oba-Ile, Osun State, and sentenced to 3 years in prison.

Pastor Ogedengbe had, on Sunday, May 5, 2019, asked his church member, Sola Adebayo, to accompany him to Adeoye to help him boost his church attendance as it had dropped seriously.

According to Adebayo: “It was when we got to Oba-Ile that I realized we have come to an herbalist house and I immediately asked him what we were doing there. .

He told me that these suspects were his friends and that they have been friends for like 8 years. Few minutes later, I was told to wait and they all left with Pastor and it was when I started calling his number without any response that I started having a second thought. .

I later escaped in my car. They chased me to Osogbo-Ikirun expressway before they got back and I rushed to the nearest police station.”

The police later mobilized and arrested of Sina Adeoye, Fatai Tirimisiyu and Baba Alawonle. They confessed to have slaughtered the Pastor and shared his vital body parts.

But another scenario played out, when one Sadiq, the son of the prime suspect, Adeoye, came to the police with a big bowl filled with human parts suspected to be some body parts of the deceased.

According to him: "My father told me to keep this bucket and warned me not to open it, lest I go blind. But since I heard that he has been arrested, I see the need to bring the bucket to the police so that he can open it.”

Popular actor and Instagram comedian, Charles Okocha, has spent over a decade in the Nigeria movie industry and has played several roles except anyone involving nudity.

However, during the week, the actor posted a snippet of his recent project on his Instagram page. In the video, the actor was seen to be seemingly having aggressive sex with a lady while promising her N50,000 for her service. Apparently, the lady in the video could not take the aggressiveness any longer, so she stopped, rejected the money and left the room.

In a chat with Saturday Beats, the actor turned singer stated that he would never endorse pornography or feature in such a movie due to a promise he made to his mother.

He said, “There is no way I can feature in a pornographic movie or act nude because of my mother and the way I was raised. My mother supports me in everything I do but what I promised her was that I was not going to feature in such movies. That is something I would never do because of my mother. I can act crazy roles and even appear half naked by wearing briefs but I can never be stark naked in a movie.

“People have a right to their opinion but I am not endorsing pornography in Nollywood. I portray any role that is given to me professionally and that is what makes me an actor. As long as the producers that pay me to do a job are happy with my work, then I am okay. My true fans understand that it is just make-believe and I do not see why people should be mad about it.

“Why should I promote soft pornography? I have two children – male and female. I am a responsible father. I am a realist so when I am given a job, once I am sure that it is the right thing to do, I do it very well. I see no reason why people should get worked up over something they ought not to get worked up about. Before I put up the post, I made people know that it was from a movie scene and it is my profession so I see nothing wrong in posting it and asking people to wait till the movie is out because it is an interesting one. I see nothing wrong in what I posted because people did not see me stark naked, all they saw was an impression of me having sex aggressively with a lady. It is just make-believe.”

While some Nigerians condemned the video, especially as this is the month of Ramadan and Muslims are fasting worldwide, the actor told Saturday Beats that some fans even asked why he did not expose his private parts. “If you go through the comments people posted after I uploaded that video, you would see where some people were asking why I was not stark naked. Some said that it was the reason why they like foreign movies because those ones would expose their bodies. The truth is that you cannot please everybody,” he said.

Comic actor, Charles Anwrum, recently took to his social media page to express his resentment against how some movie producers now feature the popular cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly called Bobrisky, in their movies.

Anwurum couldn’t hide his feelings as he described featuring the cross-dresser in movies as a shame to the industry. After he shared the video, Bobrisky replied him with a post on his Instagram page, in which he insulted the comic actor.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, Anwurum noted that he made that video to state his displeasure with the situation and for posterity sake.

“I don’t even want to make further statements about this issue. What I said was for posterity sake. When they started producing pornographic movies in Asaba, I was one of the people who cried out about it. I don’t want to make further statements about Bobrisky; I just aired my opinion about the movie industry. Our movie industry is turning into something else.

“People now want to make money anyhow because there isn’t much money in the industry anymore. The industry is not making money; instead of being paid for their services; they pay to render their services,” the actor said.

He further stated that it was disheartening that the movies being churned out by the Nigerian movie industry lack good storylines.

“There was a time I was watching a movie and the theme and plot of the movie were not properly organised. The scenes were not synchronised at all. Our movies now lack good stories; the themes are disjointed. Our television stations air these movies without vetting them.

“All these sex scenes are not part of our culture. People are free to live their lives the way they want but they should bear this in mind – promoting cross-dressers will cause the next generation to buy into it. One day, a President will just approve homosexuality. That is what I am bothered about; I didn’t mean to insult anybody. That was a comic way of passing my message across. Anybody can go to hell if they want to,” he told Saturday Beats.

He further identified some of the implications of featuring a cross-dresser in movies, something he described as totally unacceptable.

“Featuring a cross-dresser in a movie can be a comic way of achieving a storyline. The viewers would understand that the individual is a man who is trying to play the role of deceit in the movie. Another instance is writing a script that preaches that being gay is a sin. These kinds of storylines are acceptable. However, it is not acceptable to feature someone who used to be a man and disfigured himself into a woman,” he said.

However, in Bobrisky’s reply, he stated that the Nollywood actor was one of the poorest men in the movie industry. Reacting to this statement, Anwurum said he laughed about it when he saw it.

“I was very happy with his reply because it shows that he felt bad about the video. When you feel bad about an issue, it shows you know what you are doing is not good. I was laughing when I read what he said about me being the poorest actor in Nollywood.

“I am trying to create a future for the generation yet unborn. Movies are the eyes of the society. I am happy that over 90 per cent of my followers supported my view. It is my opinion; I am not forcing everyone to agree with it. I just decided to do it in a comic way. If Bobrisky feels pained, let him go into his house and cry. I didn’t want to talk about it because doing that will mean giving him more attention.

“I am only bothered about the future of the movie industry. The sentence he made about me not being successful as a man may encourage other young men to toe that path. Even if he claims he is not gay, he is encouraging people who have the tendency of being gay. If he is not gay, he should use his platform to tell people that being gay is bad,” he said.
