Human rights activist, Israel Joe has accused the police in Ekpan division, Effurun in Delta state of shooting and killing an innocent man. The victim simply identified as Christian - was a member of committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) Delta state branch before his tragic demise.

According to the report by Israel, the incident occurred at about 9pm yesterday 18th June at front of Praise Centre Church, Jakpa Road Effurun.

In a bid to cover up their actions, they quickly deposited the decease at Warri central morgue with an instruction to the mortuary attendants never to disclose their identity.

The police squad led by one sergeant Wilson at Ekpan went ahead to allege the decease as an armed robber who opened fire at them.

The deceased's car, a black Toyota Solara is reportedly parked at the Ekpan Police station.

Israel later wrote; Many questions will arise from this heinous incident and we believe if the Delta Police command refuse us justice, we shall seek redress upward. With the last drop of my blood, I will defend this friend of mine, the risk notwithstanding. Rest in Peace brother.I love you.

A policeman has died after being hit by a vehicle during a rally today in Ekiti state. According to mulitple reports, the deceased identified as Inspector Kayode Gabriel of the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) - was due for promotion to the rank of ASP next week before he killed in the unfortunate incident.

He was knocked down at Fajuyi area of Ado Ekiti by a vehicle during a rally reportedly organized by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area.

A very popular lecturer in Delta state has passed away in an unfortunate circumstance - leaving his family, friends and students in lament. The lecturer identified as Engineer Onogbotsere Monday who got married late last year - died suddenly yesterday night following what was described to be a spiritual attack, according to a report by journalist Sapele Olofofo.

Until his death, Mr. Onogbotsere taught as a lecturer in the Department of Engineering at the prestigious Delta State Polytechnic Otefe, Oghara, Delta State . He is reportedly survived by his wife and a child.

Since the news of his death broke online, his students and friends have taken to his Facebook wall to mourn his death.

Facebook user Kerry Bethuel wrote; RIP Engr Onogbotsere Monday still can not believe my Lecturer who encourages me always , a vibrant engineer with with sound impacting skills, is gone! life life life..
