HERE'S HOW TO BATHE YOUR BABY ON YOUR OWN.

First Time Mom (FTM) may wonder if baby needs a bath every day or every other day. How often you bathe your baby is up to you, but daily baths really aren’t necessary. You can keep their face, hands and bottoms clean in between baths by using a warm cloth every day.

Baby's don't need scrubbing, massaging, pressing with hot water. Their skin is too tender to undergo such process which sometimes lead to skin rashes, neonatal pemphigus, skin burns.

Here's how to bathe your baby:

-You need to keep your newborn baby warm at bathtime.
-Make sure the room and water are warm, and close any doors and windows.
-Wash your hands, and then gather all the bath supplies that you're going to need. These may include:
✔️A top-and-tail bowl
✔️Sponge or flannel
✔️A cleanser, at least one clean towel
✔️One set of clean clothes and diapers.

Newborns can wee and poo unexpectedly, so it’s best to be prepared.

- Wash your baby’s eyes, ears, face , and neck as you would for topping and tailing.
-Hold yo

Thanks dear but at the bolded. Instead of washing baby's face with soap etc you can use a washcloth, apply lil soap with water and clean the face, ears, nose then clean off with the washcloth(without soap) or another wet washcloth. The eye is very sensitive, you can use the wet washcloth to clean that area.

I still take Astyfer, calcium and vit c. I eat vegetables well even unripe plantain.

I've always been asked if I'm related to the Rev E from A-state whenever I mention my surname. Its gets more awkward when I say no that I'm from I-state. Those who know will look at me and ask how come? What is that name doing in I-state?


Honestly I wish to know more about the man E from I- state! How he got there? What made him leave home? Who his/our family are?


We are so large now that we fear we may marry our relatives from A-state! Which is one of the reason we don't marry from A-state.

Even some of us like me go to the extreme of not dating or marrying an Igbo man.

I just might be o! Cos i-state don't bear the name, any person you see with that surname and is from i-state is 110% my relative.


We are the only bearer's in i-state and that has gotten me questioned many times concerning my ancestry.


The very funny thing is my family tree in i-state stops with my grandfather.

Let me give you small history gist.

Rumour has it he came from "somewhere" a very wealthy young man! Bought up lands in the area, married many wives and settled down there.

My dad was a toddler when he died so even my father don't know much about his dad.


Those who "knew" my grandfathers story ain't saying jack. Partly due to a sworn secrecy and partly due to many of his property's they have claimed for themselves and fear it might be repossessed should they say what they know about him.

I went for my dr's appointment on Saturday

he did a quick ecv, then asked me to do a scan which I did

baby was cephalic afterward two days, he has gone back to his old position ( transverse lie)... and seem to be having a good time that way.

I started feeling baby's head down from 32weeks, did scan around that week, was cephalic and is still in cephalic till now.

Waow, since your doc is good and can do ECV, you can tell him to do it again or you wait cos baby might still turn.

Is child dedication(dedicating the child to church) that is done after 3months. Christening/baptism/naming can be done in the first/second or any month you choose and doesn't require too much party or spending. The child already have a native name even before birth.

My doc even wanted to gimme misoprostol tab today but I refused biko. According to my Lmp, I should be 35w5d. He was working with scan, when I saw the tab I just asked the pharmacist is this not cytotec?? Take it and refund my money, he told doc who apologized and removed it.
