2023: Resist APC Muslim/Muslim Presidential Bid, YYC Tells Nigerians

A South-West Nigeria-based pressure group, Yoruba Youth Council (YYC), on Monday asked Nigerians to reject the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The group said the party that neglected the concept of fairness and equity before the election would not consider federal character if eventually elected.

The National President of the group, Comrade Ayodele Gbologe, who addressed a press conference in Ibadan on Monday said for the party to enjoy the support of Nigerians, it must rescind the decision of a Muslim-Muslim ticket.

The group which according to him has over 50,000 members across the country has decided to continue campaigning against any political party that jettisoned fairness and unity of the country.

He said; “We decided to address the media based on the plight of Nigerians against one faith practice, where we have more than one faith in the country. Therefore, we are looking beyond the 2023 general election.

He said; “We decided to address the media based on the plight of Nigerians against one faith practice, where we have more than one faith in the country. Therefore, we are looking beyond the 2023 general election.

“Election is in stages(1) Before election (2) During election (3) after the election, Therefore we are looking at this that will unite us after the 2023 general election than things that will divide us.

“We believe that several Christmas politicians in the north are capable of occupying the office of vice president. Therefore we appeal to APC to in the interest of Nigerians, change their decision on the Muslim-Muslim ticket to allow peace to regain in Nigeria.”

He appealed to the party to rescind its decision in fielding a Muslim/Muslim ticket in the 2023 general elections.

“We are calling on Nigerians and APC leaders to rescind their decision to field Muslim-Muslim ticket vice president in the 2023 general elections. We, therefore, encourage Christians, Muslims and other religions to unite and work together for the progress and unity of our country.

“Today, the perception of an average Nigerian is that the nation is already polarized by religious and economic crises. Inflation rates are on the increase and high exchange rates have affected every stratum of society negatively.

“Therefore, Christian leaders should be carried along in the scheme of things in the ruling party as we approach general elections.

“However, as a youth this nation belongs to all of us, not minding whatever religion you belong to. It is therefore imperative that we work together as one.

“With unity, we could put an end to terrorism and other dangerous acts bedevilling our nation. So, therefore, Yoruba, Igbos, Hausa, Fulani and other ethnic nationalities must come together to move this country forward.

“We also advise every Nigerian to come out and vote for a candidate of their choice come 2023 general elections because we need a united nation, forged in common belief with strong assurances from the leader.

“Sectionalism is inimical to our future and it has affected our psyche and is detrimental to national vision and unity. Nigeria, forward ever, backward never.”

Your calculation is one-sided.
The same way North need just a region in South to win is the same way southern votes cannot secure a win without at least two regions from the North.

See it like this, if someone has the whole South votes and another person has the whole north votes, the northern person would win. Infact if someone has the whole South without having NW and NE support, he'll still not win.

Forget south, SW is the only vote power in south. The whole votes SE gave Atiku which is like 90% vote in the last election is just something a state like Kano can cover for one party, so imagine that.
The voter apathy in the South has traditionally been a self-inflicted handicap that fuels the myth of the "numbers" of the North. Despite this "advantage" and the shenanigans of underaged voting, ballot box stuffing, and the influx of elements from across the border during elections, the North has still never been able to win any elections on their own.

Politics2023 Election: There Is Gang Up Against Peter Obi – POSN | Dailypost by floret23(op): 10:33am On Aug 01, 2022
Peter Obi Support Network (POSN) has raised the alarm of a coordinated attack against the 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate.

The body described as defeatist the antics of opposition presidential campaign organisations and their political parties.

POSN accused them of outright distortion and mischievous misquoting of the former Anambra governor’s speeches in order to discredit him.

In a statement by Onwuasoanya Jones, Director of Strategic Communication, he said opponents were intimidated by Obi’s knowledgeability on statistics and information of world economy.

Jones noted that the resort to faking his speeches and attempting to put words in his mouth “is a strategy by the struggling opposition”.

POSN stressed that Obi does not gamble with figures and facts because he is a keen researcher and passionate seeker for solutions to Nigeria’s challenges.

Jones said Obi has continued to restructure the way politics is played by focusing on issues and presenting credible and workable data from developed, developing, and underdeveloped nations.

POSN mocked other 2023 candidates for “sitting lazily”, declaring them incompetent and unprepared for the task of the presidency.

“We challenge these disgruntled “fact checkers” and their sponsors to provide any credible evidence of Peter Obi’s speeches where he gave out any of these wrong figures.”

Jones added that the country can work again and that with the right leadership in place, Nigerians can regain their pride of nationhood.

Islamisation game plan
Nigerians believe it or not. The game plan of the Fulani/Islamic agenda is for Buhari to subtly give in to be kidnapped by the Bandits who threatened to kidnap him and El Rufai. When they achieve this, they will go all the way to take over Aso Rock and establish a Caliphate.

This game plan had been concluded. Let the men that matter in Nigeria, the likes of Obasanjo, Danjuma and all non Muslim and non Fulani Governor's sit up and do something now to forestall this evil plan of the Jihadists in Nigeria. Another Afghanistan kind of take over is looming over Nigeria.

These people hijacked and abducted all the travellers in a Federal Government owned train and nothing was done. They invaded Kuje maximum prison and freed all their men and other criminals and Government kept quiet.

Painfully they threatened to kidnap the sitting President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without any quirmme, the President nodded his head. Lastly they pushed and attacked Abuja to test their military prowess and still there is no counteraction.

Nigerians, believe it or not, these people are not joking, they mean what they are doing. Let the Armed Forces rise now to this security challenges facing this country.
Fellow country men and women please make this write up go viral until it gets to those who could rise to checkmate this ugly situation.

Their plan B is coup d'etat or interim government so as buy more time to achieve their islamisation agenda. Nigerians be wise.

2023: The Announcement Of Tinubu As The Candidate of APC Marked The Death of The Party – Primate Ayodele

Primate Ayodele described the announcement of Tinubu’s candidacy as the beginning of APC’s death.

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has said that the All Progressives Congress' decision to announce Bola Tinubu as the party's 2023 presidential candidate will bring about the collapse of the party.

The man of God also issued a warning to President Muhammadu Buhari over the impasse with the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.

Primate Ayodele warned that “students will soon stage something serious if Buhari fails to resolve the ongoing ASUU strike.”

The cleric disclosed this in a statement signed by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho.

Primate Ayodele also disclosed that the ambition of the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu will break the party.

He disclosed that more people will decamp from the party to support other candidates.

Primate Ayodele described the announcement of Tinubu’s candidacy as the beginning of APC’s death.

‘’Tinubu’s ambition will divide the party, more people will decamp from the party and many things will be exposed about APC.

“There will be wrangling between the party stakeholders. The announcement of Tinubu as the candidate marked the death of the party, they can’t come together again,” he said.

2023: Muslim-Muslim ticket insult on sensibility of Christians- Anglican church

Senior Anglican Church leaders in Nigeria have condemned the recent decision of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to field candidates from same faith, Muslim-Muslim, in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election.

The Church leaders described the decision as an insult on the sensibility of Christians in Nigeria, suggesting that the decision should either be reversed or Nigerians especially Christians not vote for the party.

Venerable Ben Ndume of St. James Anglican Church (Anglican Communion), Asokoro, Abuja, registered the discontent of the church in Abuja, on Sunday, at the end of their church service to unveil their 2022 harvest activities.

He said the 2022 harvest activities is an opportunity for their members to come before God in thanksgiving and appreciation for His blessings and protection over the period so they can stand worthy to also solicited His protection and more blessings ahead.

Addressing journalists shortly after the service, Venerable Ndume said the decision of the APC to field candidates of same faith was not right, and that it might affect their chances in the 2023 general elections.

He said: “It’s unfortunate that despite several warnings by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and other stakeholders, APC went ahead to choose candidates from same religion to fly their flag in 2023 general elections. It doesn’t reflect inclusivity and justice.

“The party should know that no single religion has monopoly of knowledge and human capacity in Nigeria. Nigeria is secular state and we should acknowledge that. No one should insult the sensibility of another in Nigeria.

“The decision of APC justified the fears, and also point to the fact that there is a ploy to Islamize Nigeria, but that will be possible if Nigerians allows it. So, it’s expected that they should speak and decide through their votes.”

He, however, enjoined Christians to pray for Nigeria, its government and themselves, stressing that there’s palpable fear, panic and suspicion across the country, and no one can guarantee what would happen in the next minute.

Another leader in the church, Arinze Gideon, told journalists that the church is in support of increasing call for the extension of deadline for voter registration to enable more people participate in the political process that would herald the emergence of new set of political leaders in Nigeria come 2023.

He said: “few weeks ago, we approached the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and demanded for their presence here in our church premises for the registration exercise, and they obliged us the request. For two Sundays, they were here registering people. Infact, they were overwhelmed by number of people that indicated interest in the process. System failure also contributed to the issue.

“Nevertheless, there are indications that thousands of people, if not millions, have not registered, and are willing and eager to register. It will be unfair for them to be disenfranchised. So, we are supporting the call and appealing to INEC for the extension of time to enable more people register so they can participate in the exercise that would culminate in election of new government officials in 2023.”

PoliticsNasarawa APC Crisis Deepens As Governor Sule Dares Members To Decamp by floret23(op): 8:04pm On Jul 31, 2022
The crisis rocking the Nasarawa State chapter of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is deepened as governor Abdullahi Sule has dared all aggrieved political appointees to go if they are not comfortable staying in the party.

Recall that Nasarawa State chapter of the APC has been in deep crisis following the aftermath of the party primaries in the state.

The crisis has forced some staunch APC members to dumped the party for Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Those staunch members who felt cheated during the party Primaries and left the party for Social Democratic Party (SDP) are: the serving senator Godiya Akwashiki, senator representing Nasarawa north, Ahmed Wadada, 2019 Governorship aspirant, serving house of representative Gaza Egbefin, representing Nasarawa West and serving House of Assembly representing Keffi east Abdulaziz Danladi who defeated to AA party.

Reacting to threats to leave the party by the APC members in the state, Governor Abdullahi Sule read riot act to political appointees, dared them to remain loyal to APC or quit.

Sule, warning during a meeting with all his political appointees at the Government House recently said he has no intention of firing anyone and called on the affected appointees to change their ways and be loyal to his administration or quit.

He decried the level of acrimony existing between different levels and cadre of the political appointees, pointing out that it has become necessary to call for the meeting because his administration will no longer tolerate a situation where appointees will be working at crossroads with each other.

“I don’t want to fire anybody. I believe that it’s important first to ask people out of respect, to either change their ways or to be loyal to the government or quit the government,” the Governor said.

Sule explained that, it has become obvious that some of the political appointees don’t see themselves as part of the administration, giving their loyalty to others outside of the government.

“What a reasonable and honourable person will do, if I am not loyal to somebody, I have no business working for that person. If you don’t think your loyalty is to the government, please be a human being and resign,” he directed.

You can't compare Lagos, a former FCT with federal airport and seaport to Anambra with no federal presence. Lagos was already made economically before 1999. Lagos did not start in 1999.

Your answers have no substance in them. Credibility and telling lies are two opposites. No human capital developed since Obi left power. Nothing improved in Anambra since he left. He is incompetent leader. Not a transformational leader. He did not build people’s career like Tinubu. He did not build infrastructure. He did not increase IGR. What exactly did he do? You talk of few roads refurbished etc mtchew!!! Pedestrian achievement.
Unless you have your own definition of substance and credibility that I don't know.

I have never heard him telling lies before. Maybe your mind is telling you what you wish to hear about him.

No human capital developed since Obi left power is not his fault but the fault of those who took over after him. However, Anambra was and is doing better than Ogun and Ekiti states.

For the infrastructure development and IGR performance, I think google would help you. Internet never lies. Try to google it.

You are using lies to accuse Obi of lying. What an irony!
