Released CSU documents authenticate Tinubu’s certificates. Even though it is now confirmed that Tinubu indeed attended Chicago State University (CSU), the replacement certificate he has been tendering did not emanate from the university.

PoliticsPeter Obi Will Become President Of Nigeria, Says Prophet Isaiah Wealth by floret23(op): 7:02pm On Oct 02, 2023
Prophet Wealth during one of his recent church service, said if Obi, the Labour Party candidate, presents “proper evidence” at the Supreme Court, he will be declared the actual winner of the 2023 presidential poll.

'Obi will win break trend and win'

The cleric, who is the lead preacher at Isaiah Wealth Ministries, also stated that President Bola Tinubu came third in the election while Atiku Abubakar and Obi came second and first respectively.

His words:

“I saw it clearly, as I was praying in the spirit, He (God) said, ‘say to Peter Obi, I have set before you an open door which no man can shut'. It stands till now. It is not going to change.

“The Lord said the door is open, walk through it. There must be no loss of courage. You fight the battle with courage.”

He continued:

“I went to ask The Lord, will this man ever be president? He said “Yes”. It is written: This is the ruler of thy people.

“The Lord said, if they go to court with proper evidence, they’ll win this case.
“Don’t say it has never happened in a presidential election. This can be the first.
“I don’t guess; I have seen it, it is clear.
“The result you see, first, second, third is actually third, second, first; it was reversed.
“I saw people celebrating on the streets. It will happen finally.”

In a piece of related news, Legit.ng reported that the founder of the Champions Royal Assembly Ministry, Prophet Joshua Iginla, declared that “the only person that can remove President Tinubu is God.”

While addressing his church members recently, Joshua advised Obi and Atiku to “come together”.

Presidential Candidate of Labour Party in this year’s elections, Peter Obi, has said while it is not necessary to have the best educational qualification, a…

A court ruled in favour of Atiku, ordering CSU to release Tinubu’s record, but the Nigerian president filed a suit against this, which he lost.

Speaking when he featured on ARISE TV on Monday, Obi said no one needs to have the best qualifications to be a leader, but there is need to be honest about one’s background.

“On issue of qualification, I never said anything with regard to improving the degree or doing this. The issue of qualification is the issue of leaders making statements, doing things that are honest and truthful. This is an issue of honour and integrity. It is the foundation on which you build society.

“If you look at what is happening in Nigeria today, there is so many issues of certification, age, all sorts of, one falsification or the other, all over with the leaders. There is no way people can be doing this and be able to do the right things, because that means they are living a falsified life, and that is not good morally and a sign it should be giving to the society,” Obi said.

He cited the example of several great world leaders and innovators who had bad educational backgrounds, no formal education, or even became school dropouts, and went on to achieve great things that changed the world.

He said, “You don’t necessarily need to have all the degrees in the world to be great, but you need to be honourable about your past so we can know where exactly you are and everything. The world abounds by great people who have poor past and no education, and that formed part of their greatness.”

PoliticsAt 63, Nigeria Is A Failed Country, Has Nothing To Celebrate - Nwanguma by floret23(op): 5:20pm On Oct 01, 2023
At 63, Nigeria Is A Failed Country With Corruptly Mismanaged Economy, Has Nothing To Celebrate, Says Activist Nwanguma

He explained that Nigeria is richly endowed but corruptly mismanaged.

The Executive Director of the Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre (RULAAC), Okechukwu Nwanguma has described Nigeria at 63 as a failed country.

Nwanguma, who stated this in an article titled: "State Of Nigeria At 63", regretted that after 63 years of Nigeria's independence and 24 years after the country returned to elective government following nearly two decades of military interruption of democratic experiment, Nigerians have nothing to celebrate as a country.

"For me, there is really nothing that one wants to be happy about in Nigeria, except, perhaps for those who are still precariously alive, having survived the debilitating times," he said, adding "All we have is a failed country."

He explained that Nigeria is richly endowed but corruptly mismanaged.

According to him, the situation has caused the collapse of the economy "with a constantly devaluing and almost worthless currency in relation to the US dollar; unchecked corruption, unabated insecurity that continues to reduce the worth of human dignity and life and constantly destroying life, property and livelihoods; mass impoverishment and misery; official ineptitude in addressing insecurity and tackling corruption, instead, official complicity in promoting corruption and insecurity”.

He said it also led to the “collapse of infrastructure, failed promises to deliver free, fair, peaceful and credible elections; impunity for human rights violations, and denial of justice; state capture by a cabal of unpatriotic, corrupt, incompetent, visionless and self-serving political class with criminal records; subversion of the democratic principle of separation of powers among different arms of government; promoting nepotism in governance; mass despondency and loss of faith in the country resulting to mass exodus of Nigerians to foreign countries including less endowed but comparatively better run Africa countries".

According to him, terrorists and bandits have continued to hold sway across the country without much challenge from security agencies. "Neglect of security agencies renders them vulnerable to attacks and killing by better-armed bandits.

"Insecurity has halted farming, production, living and livelihoods, and retarded development," he said.

The human rights activist further stated that the government's inability to guarantee uninterrupted electricity has killed businesses, impeded production, discouraged investments, and forced local and foreign investments to close shop and leave the country.

"It has also disrupted and denied children access to education,"
he maintained.

He continued, "Educational and healthcare institutions are dysfunctional and incapable of solving the manpower development and healthcare needs of Nigerians. Consequently, Nigerians die untimely of poverty and from preventable diseases. The government is completely distant and absent from the people.

"While workers' salaries are grossly inadequate and further diminished in value by daily skyrocketing increases in the cost of living, the government is not providing palliatives to cushion the effects of policies that deepen poverty and misery. Yet, government officials continue to unconscionably benefit from undue and unmerited earnings and frivolous multiple allowances.

"There's a high level of oppression, exploitation, and deprivation of the masses, with citizens exploited and dispossessed of their meagre income in different guises, yet are denied basic infrastructure and social amenities and services. To illustrate, in some parts of the country, vehicle users are subjected to roadworthiness tests, punishment, and exploitation, yet, the roads are not maintained and kept safe and worthy of use.

"Law enforcement agencies are deployed as tools of oppression and injustice rather than as agencies to maintain law and order, provide safety and security, guard and protect human rights, and uphold the rule of law. They serve and protect the ruling powers and people of influence, and prey upon the helpless poor masses.

"The man 'elected' as the President of Nigeria following the recent largely flawed and widely disputed election continues to grapple with a legitimacy crisis on account of the dubious conduct and outcome of the election, as well as questions surrounding his true identity- questions about the records of his birth, paternity, age, educational qualifications and indeed, nearly every aspect of his life. This fact alone summarizes the tragedy of the state of the country and its reputation and rating in the eyes of the world."

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Appeals For Limited Disclosure Of Academic Records Amid Controversy by floret23(op): 4:36pm On Sep 29, 2023
Tinubu has requested that the court if inclined to grant Atiku’s application for discovery, limit the release to only his diploma certificate, which he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as part of his qualification for the 2023 presidential election.
Diploma certificate bawo? I thought Tinubu claimed to have graduated with first class degree in accounting. How come he is now talking about diploma instead of degree? Abi diploma and degree mean the same thing in US? Tinubu's confusion is confusing me.
PoliticsTinubu Appeals For Limited Disclosure Of Academic Records Amid Controversy by floret23(op): 4:30pm On Sep 29, 2023
President Bola Tinubu has raised objections against the release of his academic records from Chicago State University (CSU) to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last presidential election.

Tinubu has requested that the court if inclined to grant Atiku’s application for discovery, limit the release to only his diploma certificate, which he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as part of his qualification for the 2023 presidential election.

This legal dispute has intensified as Atiku’s camp maintains that Tinubu’s credentials from CSU actually belong to a woman. Dr. Don Pedro Obaseki, the Director of Research and Documentation for the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Organisation, made this allegation during a Zoom conference hosted by London-based psychologist, Professor Gold Emmanuel.

Chicago-State-University-News-Central-TV
In his latest plea to the court, President Tinubu argued, “That conclusion should be set aside, and the application should be denied because the information sought cannot be used and, therefore, is not ‘for use’ in the foreign proceedings.”

President Tinubu’s legal representative, Mr. Christopher Carmichael, presented this request before Judge Nancy Maldonado, a Senior Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division.

The controversy began when Judge Jeffrey Gilbert of a Magistrate Court in Chicago ordered CSU to release Tinubu’s academic records to Atiku, enabling him to substantiate allegations of forgery and perjury against Tinubu during the presidential election tribunal.

Atiku had argued that Tinubu should not have been on the ballot due to the presentation of false and forged documents to INEC. He pointed out inconsistencies in the dates on Tinubu’s diploma certificate and claimed that other CSU records indicated that the President was identified as a female.

While the presidential election tribunal dismissed Atiku’s request for Tinubu’s disqualification over certificate discrepancies, Atiku appealed to a U.S. court, believing it could consider fresh evidence.

However, just before the execution of Judge Gilbert’s order, President Tinubu filed an emergency application, requesting the district court to delay the release of documents until September 25, stating that Atiku would not be prejudiced since he had until September 27 to submit materials for his Supreme Court appeal.

Judge Maldonado, during a telephone conference on Thursday night, agreed to grant the application, acknowledging the sensitivity of the matter.

When the case resumed, President Tinubu asserted that Atiku was seeking “nothing more than opposition research on a political opponent.” He argued that the magistrate had erred in granting the discovery application and expanded it beyond the issue of the diploma submitted to INEC.

President Tinubu also emphasized the privacy protections of educational records under United States laws and contended that a broad discovery request could lead to a fishing expedition into confidential records.

In response to these developments, Dr. Don Pedro Obaseki, representing Atiku, reaffirmed the need for open disclosure of President Tinubu’s CSU documents, as fresh evidence could impact the Supreme Court’s consideration of pending petitions. Obaseki emphasised that the 1999 Constitution does not recognize the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as a state, challenging the PEPC’s jurisdiction over Tinubu’s eligibility.

Zamfara University: Don’t let criminals make rules for you – Peter Obi to Nigerians

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has reacted to the abduction of some school girls from the Federal University, Gusau.

Naija247News reports that gunmen suspected to be bandits abducted an unspecified number of students of the Federal University of Gusau in the early hours of Friday.

The terrorists were said to have attacked the Sabon-Gida community located within the Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State, where many students from the university were residing.

Obi called on Nigerians not to give room to criminals and bandits to make the rules by which they live.

“We must as a nation resist any attempt to allow criminals to make the rules by which we live as a national community. And we should not allow bandits and criminals to destroy our nation.

“Combating insecurity remains the priority in the New Nigeria of my dream because I strongly believe that a safe and secure Nigeria is indeed possible,”

PoliticsTinubu Has Two Months Before He Vacates Aso Villa - Atiku's Aide, Daniel Bwala by floret23(op): 6:24am On Aug 30, 2023
Bwala had in an earlier tweet begged President Tinubu to appoint consider appointing All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode as a minister.

A former former presidential spokesperson to the Atiku campaign organisation, Daniel Bwala has warned that Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu has few months to occupy his position at the Villa.

He made the statement on Twitter.

According to him, Tinubu will be removed in the next two months.

It all started after Bwala had earlier, in a series of tweets, urged President Tinubu to appoint All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode as a minister.

Recall that Fani-Kayode was the Special Assistant (Public Affairs) to former President Olusegun Obasanjo from July 2003 until June 2006.

Reacting Bwala’s call to make Fani-Kayode a minister, a follower berated him for interfering in the administration of APC while challenging the outcome of the 2023 election in court.

The follower wrote: “We can’t even know where you people stand. You are in court , you are contesting the results of the elections, you post about Tinubu being disqualified yesterday and today, you are asking him to appoint your friend as minister. Why are PDPians always confused ? Just yesterday”

Responding, Bwala wrote: “They have about two months before they vacate the place, so Femi should be appointed even if for just the two months.”
