Because these cases are quite stressful. I wonder how the current president manages to find focus and concentration .
Does Tinubu as well as APC in general looks like someone who finds focus and concentration to you? Someone who Obi is tormenting in his dream everyday.

PoliticsPalliatives: Tinubu Is Stuck And Short Of Exclusive Ideas - Timileyin Oyeniyi by floret23(op): 11:56am On Jul 22, 2023
It’s does looks like the current Nigeria Federal Government is stuck and short of exclusive Ideas in terms of making policies to cushion the effect of subsidy removal upon the lamentation of average Nigerians. The body language of the FG towards this effect was sort of government who lost their goals and apparently don’t know the next line of action or where to turn to,obviously confused.

The last National Economic council meeting led by the Vice President,Sen.kashim Shettima was more of reviewing the last administration of President Muhammadu Buhari on National social register, it’s as always clear to any conscious minded Nigerians that the National social register managed by former Minister of Humanitarian affairs, Sadiya Umar Farouq was a scheme that lack integrity test, fraudulently designed for corruption and mostly benefited by northerns.

At the NEC meeting,Governor of Anambra state,Prof. Soludo share expressly the reasons why National social register use under yesterday administration may not work or Perhaps not give credible result toward what FG is projecting in terms of palliative cash transfer for 12 millions households.

That means Federal Government have to start reviewing National social register that will genuinely compromises the real poor people of Nigeria in other to enjoy further Government benefits beyond present situation and I so much recommend that reviewing such should be done by an independent body. This is going to take nothing less than months,so Nigerians should not expect any palliative in an time soon.

This development have put Nigeria in a worst situation in the sense that FG can’t give a specific date or period as to which this palliative measures will be disburse to Nigerians, while citizens continue to undergo hardship day-in-day-out.

You will agree with me that sometimes this week FG withdrew the policy of 8k palliative as a result of outcry of Nigerians,Fast forward to last night during an interview session with Governor Sule of nasarawa state,he said the policy was not withdrew in totality because Nigeria Governors who were present in the last NEC meeting are still contemplating on the proposed amount or lesser but comes with other packages.

Nigerians should be aware that the fuel price will still goes up,most definitely,Nigeria Government don’t have the power to regulate the fuel price again,it determined by marketers and world market. It is important for Nigerians and government should seriously look for better alternatives for petrol.

Here is my recommendation, why can’t FG put all resources together to revamp Kaduna and Jos refineries,if Nigeria stop importing fuel, the price will be automatically be affordable and pocket friendly coupled with new Dangote refinery.

Secondly,Nigeria government needs a strong data base of it own citizens that will be constantly updated in terms of death and birth records,it a matter of importance.president Tinubu should make sure that the set of individuals that will make up the federal cabinet should be the people who can think out of box, also can provide both short and long term solution to this economic mess.

Security challenges is another Waterloo forthcoming,Nigeria police force has put it out there few days ago that it impossible for them to operate their operational and patrol vehicles nationwide because of hike in fuel price,Nigeria is on gunpowder.

If your are still supporting this Government or preaching patient at this time on their inability to make policies to reduce hardship and suffering of Nigerians,it does seem you don’t know what is ahead,God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria is just a proclamation,Leadership of the country needs to swift to action. Orun yaa bo .......!

Why are Tinubu's surpporters the only set of people promoting Youth Party while insulting Peter Obi at the same time on this platform? What concerns Obi with Youth Party? It seems the new party was registered by APC in conjunction with INEC because of Obi's supporters who are mostly youths.

adebayo987:
in this analysis, I'm going to keep sentiments aside. I'll be very factual and truthful.

Yemi would have tried but Obi would have done better.

Reason being that, Yemi can be controlled by the North but that's not how we see Obi.

We see Yemi as someone who would bow to NASS should any of his policies inconvenience them. While we see Obi as someone who NASS will attempt to impeach because almost all his policies would be against the rich and very much in favour of the poor and the political elites don't want that to happen.

Tinubu is trying to pocket NASS and his fellow political elites by attempting to increase their alawee by 114% and dashing them 70bn for furniture, etc. and more to come but we see Obi as someone who would channel those expenses to productive budgets and that's where NASS would want to kill him.

I see a better Nigeria with Obi than with Yemi.
I fully agree with you. Yoruba ni mi tokantokan sugbon Peter Obi ni choice me. I will always choose Obi over an overrated Prof.

There have been hundreds of applications from intending political parties before INEC for years that they ignore to register but of recent Youth Party got INEC's approval. This is definitely the voice of INEC and the hand of APC. If you know you know.

This Youth Party is simply an arm of APC (APC_lite) just to lure the youths. Two days to next election they will still merge with APC.
This a confirmation that INEC is an arm of APC. No antic of Mahmud Yakubu and Mr Tinubu can snatch Nigeria youths away from Peter Obi. Together Forever.

PoliticsGovernor Mutfwang To Obi: You Will Achieve Greater Things In The Years Ahead by floret23(op): 9:29am On Jul 20, 2023
The Governor of Plateau state, Barr. Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang, on Wednesday, told the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in the February 25, 2023 election Peter Obi, that he will achieve even far greater things than he already achieved in years ahead.

Speaking in Plateau Government House in Jos while congratulating Obi on his birthday anniversary and his humanitarian visits to the state, the Governor said,

“Today marks another milestone in your life, and I hope it brings you joy, fulfillment, and renewed energy as you continue to serve our great nation.

“As a fellow politician, I have had the privilege of witnessing your dedication and commitment to public service. Your tireless efforts in championing the interests of our constituents and striving for positive change have not gone unnoticed. Your leadership qualities, wisdom, and passion have inspired many within and outside of the country in the pursuit of goals with determination and integrity”

The Governor told his guest that “Birthdays are an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year and set new goals for the future. I have witnessed firsthand the positive impact you have made, and I am confident that you will continue to achieve great things in the years ahead.

In his remarks, Obi said that he came to Plateau in line with his earlier humble request from friends and well-wishers to spread the love today by visiting orphanage homes, hospitals, and schools to mark his 62nd birthday,

“I visited Plateau State today to commiserate with the Governor and the people over the recent incessant killings in the State, which are totally unacceptable.

“I was in Mangu Local Govt Area, where over 300 people including women and children, have been killed. I commiserated and condoled with them over the several attacks on them and the killings of their loved ones. I was in the IDP Camp in Mangu, which is the biggest in the State, occupied by about 60 communities.

At the IDP camp, Obi made token support of N5 million with some bags of rice and also reassured them of our love and care. “I equally explained to them that we are all in this together and that so long as we have some Nigerians living in IDP Camps, every Nigerian is living in IDP Camp”

The former Anambra state Governor thanks the Plateau State, Barr Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang, for his warm reception, kind comments, and for the great efforts he has made so far concerning security in the State. He also thanked the traditional ruler Mishkaham Mwaghavul, HRH John Putmang Hirse, for the hospitality and assured the Mangu people that in the New Nigeria, their security and that of every Nigerian will be prioritized.

Meanwhile, Obi has appealed to people who desired to celebrate him to look around them and extend gifts to the people in need.

He said: “Today marks my 62nd birthday but there will be no celebration because in this month so far, over 327 innocent Nigerians have been killed in Plateau, Benue and other states in a reckless manner.

“There is far too much insecurity, violence, and bloodshed. This month alone over 200 lives have been lost to sustained violent attacks in Mangu LGA in Plateau.

“Similarly, in Benue, over 100 lives have been lost in recent times, the latest being 27 persons killed in Adogo Ugbaam, Akpuuna, and Diom communities in Ukum LGA.

“There are also many other cases of kidnappings and killings in different parts of the country. I want to celebrate in a New Nigeria where the lives and property of citizens are secured”.

Obi said while he remained grateful to God for His infinite mercies, he still maintained his decision of over 20 years, that he would not celebrate his birthdays in today’s Nigeria, with the current state of the nation.

PoliticsPeter Obi @62: 5 Powerful Things He Could If Instated As President by floret23(op): 3:12pm On Jul 19, 2023
Peter Obi, ahead of his 62nd birthday, mentioned that organising a birthday celebration for him in present-day Nigeria would be counterproductive, given the multitude of challenges that many are currently facing in the country. As the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has been on his toes claiming to secure his stolen mandate since Bola Tinubu was declared the winner of the presidential election by the independent national electoral commission (INEC).

As he battles for favour at the tribunal, there are certain developments Peter Obi could bring into place if instated as the president of the country. This article will highlight some of these powerful effects. Let’s dive in.

Change on economic reforms

Peter Obi, known for his expertise in financial matters and economic management, as President, could focus on implementing comprehensive economic reforms to promote fiscal discipline, attract foreign investments, and foster economic growth. He might prioritise policies to reduce unemployment, enhance infrastructure, and diversify the economy away from oil dependency.

Peter Obi’s background in finance, his reputation for fiscal responsibility and experience as the Governor of Anambra State suggest a focus on economic management. During his tenure as governor, he was credited with fiscal prudence and was known for implementing policies that improved the state’s economy. His experience in managing budgets and public funds may inform his focus on policies that encourage investment, reduce waste, and foster sustainable economic growth.

Investment in education and human capital development

Obi has shown a commitment to improving education during his time as governor of Anambra State. As President, he could further invest in education and human capital development, including initiatives to improve the quality of education, enhance teacher training, and provide better access to education for all Nigerians.

As a former governor, Obi invested in education infrastructure, improved school facilities, and increased the budget allocation for education in Anambra State. At a time during his tenure, Obi presented a 1.5 Billion naira cheque to about 150 schools for infrastructural upgrade. This suggests that he could prioritise educational improvements on a national level. Given Nigeria’s large youth population and the need for skilled workers, investing in education and skill development could be a crucial aspect of his agenda.

Foster anti-corruption measures

Peter Obi has always been an advocate for anti-corruption measures in Nigeria, and if instated as president, that would be one of his areas of major tackles. As corruption has been a significant challenge in Nigeria’s governance and economy, Obi could strengthen anti-corruption agencies, enforce transparency and accountability in government institutions, and promote a culture of integrity to combat corruption effectively.

Obi has spoken publicly about the need to combat corruption in Nigeria. He has advocated for transparency and accountability in government and has emphasised the importance of ethical leadership to fight corruption effectively.

Leapfrog Nigeria into the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR)

The manifesto released by Peter Obi ahead of the presidential election clearly stated the strategic approach to rapidly advance Nigeria’s economic and technological spread. He clearly explained that he would rapidly develop its economy and technology sector by embracing and implementing the latest scientific and technological innovations. Obi could position the country at the forefront of the 4th Industrial Revolution, where digital technologies play a central role in driving economic growth, development, and societal transformation.

In the manifesto, he says, “Leapfrog Nigeria into the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) through the application of scientific and technological innovations to create a digital economy.

Restructuring the governance and legal systems

Peter Obi could make significant changes or reforms to the political and administrative systems of the country. This could include introducing changes to laws, regulations, and administrative structures in a way that will produce meaningful and positive outcomes.

Peter Obi’s advocacy for restructuring the governance and legal systems in Nigeria has been a prominent aspect of his political agenda. He believes that decentralisation and restructuring are essential to address the country’s diverse and complex challenges effectively.

If the court ruling (up to the SC) doesn't favour Peter Obi, he should continue to form strong alliance with politicians across the country (both north and south) ahead of 2027.

Tinubu knows nothing about leadership. The only language he understands is violence and cheating. His incompetence will make him so unpopular like Buhari by 2027.

BTW, happy birthday to HE Peter Greg Obi - the man who continuously reminds the sane ones among us that having a country that works for all is still POssible...
What is the essence of forming alliance when the election will be rigged as usual? If supreme court validate Tinubu's 'Victory', Obi should forget about contesting in 2027. Free and fair is not in Tinubu's dictionary.
