It was one YASSER ARAFAT, that began the "Palestinian" movement. When the British mandate was about to come to an end, they decided to partition the land due to the constant attacks and persecution of the JEWS by ARABS.

The UN voted, all the Arab countries voted against it, but the Western countries and others voted for it and the land was Partitioned into Arab and Jewish states. The Jews accepted it, but the ARABS rejected it (the first rejection of a two state solution).

The Jews who were scattered across the globe, decided to return back home to the Jewish part of the UN partitioned land in 1948 (they were already many Jews there who did not even leave at all, the once who returned were the ones who had earlier fled the persecution, but most people today make it look like there was no single Jew on the land when the UN Partitioned it, and that all the JEWS came from Europe which is FALSE).

Despite the clear partitioning of the land, the Arabs were agitated by the return of many JEWS, and instead of respecting the borders set by the UN, the ARABS insisted on going against it and having the entire land to themselves.

To avoid losing grip of the land and also avoiding their brothers from returning back home, neighbouring Arab countries assured the Arabs staying on the land to leave their own part of the land, and temporarily move to refugee camps and a coalition of ARAB countries were preparing to forcefully take the entire land and chase the JEWS out of the land completely.

Meanwhile, the JEWS just declared the creation of the State of Israel on their own part of the UN Partitioned land, as they were celebrating their independence, the ARAB forces were preparing a deadly assault on them.

The Arabs launched aggressive attacks (known today as the first ARAB/ISRAELI war or the Independence War of 1948) from different fronts against the new State of Israel which did not even have an army, nor even an ally yet at that time. The Jews fought as a family. The Arabs attacked from Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan, with coalition of Arab forced from 7 Arab countries, well armed with Fighter jets, tanks and heavy artillery, but SURPRISINGLY, the JEWS fought fearlessly despite been outnumbered and disadvantaged, and the JEWS pushed back the ARABS, won the war and captured most of the initially UN Partitioned Arab territories. The victory of the JEWS led to the NAKBA, which saw the displacement of hundreds of thousands Arabs who were living in those areas but who were deceived to vacate the areas by the Arab forces prior to the war!

Many other wars happened subsequently in 1967 and 1973, which the JEWS decisively won and further expanded their territories, completely capturing the whole of Jerusalem and Judea and SAMARIA from Jordan, the Golan Heights from Syria and the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt (though Israel voluntarily returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt in exchange for a peace treaty with Egypt which is still subsisting till today).

So all those displaced Arabs who were deceived to leave their towns, communities and villages by the Arab forces, decided to call themselves "PALESTINIANS", it was YASSER ARAFAT that started that movement and he immediately created a terrorist group called the PALESTINE LIBERATIOM ORGANISATION (PLO), which specialty was to attacked Israel and also hijack planes around the world. They were responsible for the Munich Olympics attacks against the Israeli team in the 70s and several other suicide bombings, and terrorist attacks and passenger plane hijackings!

Their excesses were however, eventually curtailed by MOSSAD, after their key leaders were assassinated by MOSSAD in mostly Europe where they were hiding. Due to the constant assassination by MOSSAD, the PLO relocated to JORDAN, where they launched attacks at Israel from. The MOSSAD was handicapped because Israel had a peace treaty with JORDAN, and attacking the PLO on JORDANIAN soil was going to be a breach of the peac treaty. MOSSAD tried it once but the result was fatal, so they decided to stop. The PLO took advantage of this and continued staying in Jordan until they themselves started a war in Jordan that led to them being chased out of Jordan and they went to Lebanon. The PLO became so strong in Jordan that they began to revolt against the JORDANIAN govt, and even planned to assassinate the then KING of JORDAN. That resulted to what became known as "BLACK SEPTEMBER", which led to the killing and displacement of thousands of "Palestinians" from Jordan to Lebanon.

Fast forward, the PLO's faction called Fattah was in charge of Gaza, but another terror group called HAMAS was created in the late 90s by one crippled cleric. Hamas started off as a charity body, doing charity in Gaza and giving out free education, they began to radicalise Gazans against Israel and became a full blown terror organisation which was able to fight the Fatah and drove them out of Gaza.

When Israel eventually pulled out of Gaza in 2005, the "Palestinians" conducted an election in 2007, HAMAS saw that as an opportunity, created a Political faction and contested and won in the election. That was how Gaza became controlled by Hamas. There have been no other election in Gaza since 2007 till today.

The Fatah was pushed to Judea and SAMARIA the "West Bank" where YASSER ARAFAT eventually died and was buried.
