RaeMystix:Dame you sure have a fine in music! In spite of the slightly depressing theme of Sheeran's A Team twas my ring tone till recently. What's I particularly like about Coldplay is the quality of their instrumentals, like ochestra. I have virtually all their songs. |
RaeMystix:Yay Looks like I found me a music buddy! You see there was a time these songs were my friends, I remember listening Kelly Clarkson's Break Away and getting misty eyes. Tha song spoke to me. The Beddingfields, "I don't wanna run away but cant take it...you know d rest and Natasha's Unwritten especially used to keep me awake. Have you ever listened to music late into the night because the music was just so good that you couldn't fall asleep? And radio over TV?! Gavin De Graw's I Don't Wanna Be reminds me of One Tree Hill. Both the song and the series were and are still dear to my heart. I lost my virginity to a list of female artistes o. Alicia Keys, Venessa Carlton, Avril Lavigne sef follow join. I was considering emigrating so ill to meet her on tha bridge, per that song ![]() |
RaeMystix: I thought it was perhaps a sign that I was growing old. I used to keep up with new music on charts but I suddenly began to find em shallow so I took a break from music entirely until recently when I found an old memory card and all the good old songs--not exactly old but those song that formed my taste in music: MLTR, Kelly Clarkson, Celine Dion, Coldplay can do wrong in my eyes , Pink, Aerosmith, Destiny's Child, TLC, Mary J and all the ones you mentioned except Imagine Dragons...and Westlife o good ole Westlife, Backstreet Boys and N Sync. I've watched B's Love Hurts and its deep as she can get at times...I mix it with a lil 70s and 80s Madonna, Tracy Chapman, Culture Club, Sting, Lionel Richie et al and then I'm not missing Lil Wayne and co anymore ![]() Rap really isn't my thing though perhaps because the cussing and beef and bragging msg doesn't cut it for me. I've not heard both songs. Ill look em up. Nico and Vinz's are not bad. Np Nico and Vinz--In Your Arms |
RaeMystix:lol I agree. That one is classic now. Back when duets and soulful songs were the in-thing. Unfortunately, Ne-yo is no R Kelly but he didn't so badly. "Incredible" is special because it's a break from the synthetic mainstream songs of now. |
RaeMystix: Whole world is watching us now, it's a little intimidating...That voice? Ppl with its kind come only once in an era. Personally I think the best songs are male-female duets. |

The perfect situation is when you love someone and that person loves you back. Sadly this rarely happens and you have to content yourself with loving someone who doesn't love you or being loved by sb you don't love. I don't wish either on myself but if faced with a choice, I'd choose the latter--the wrong one loving you right. Call it tough love perhaps, at least you don't run the risk of giving love and affection and never receiving your entire life. I seek those things which I know will destroy me in the end-Anon |
Females of course have it easier. They can remain without a definite viable job for long periods and still live luxuriously. Its because parents and relatives are more sympathetic to them. They can call up this uncle or that big brother and get them to cough up money and other benefits relatively easier than a male can ever manage without being told to quit being a bum and start being a man of his own. There is less pressure on her to provide accomodation for herself--she could well continue to live with her parents till she marries without getting raised eyebrows for it. In some cases, she may have to provide for herself, perhaps provide for and reward her parents esp if they've invested heavily in her. Still, she is under relatively less pressure to cater for all kith and kin as a male counterpart will be. She's not expected to finance a relationship. She is not expected to buy flowers, to do much calling, to pay on dates, to propose to her boyfriend with a diamond ring or range rover she bought. No, its the job of the male! And she's doesn't even have to worry about rent after marriage or mortgage and saving up part of her income to buy a house eventually... Hence, unemployment or underemployment bears more heavily on the male as he has more financially obligations that he fails to fulfil and less avenues to transfer liabilities and expenses to others. PS: Of course this is by considering the Nigerian situation. |
Maroon 5--Maps |
