PoliticsRe: A Campaign To Support Yoruba Women As First Ladies In Yorubaland. by FlyoruB: 10:10pm On Jun 01, 2020
Kwashiman:
Have you been to Twitter to see how your women denigrate you guys? Bros I doubt you are familiar with what is is even trending on social media right now grin. If you see the way Yoruba women talk down on their men with the sweeping generalizations of them been unserious, you know the usual unsavory stereotypes your men hold in Nigeria, guy you go re-evaluate your Yoruba card. Igbo men are praised as been money-makers, poised, and tenacious hustlers etc. But Yoruba guys are seen as scrubs even by other none-Nigerian African girls, I see these interactions almost on Facebook where a Ghanaian, Liberian or Cameroonian girl will call out Naija boys for been "fuvk boys" blah blah blah, then from their painful experiences with us Yoruba guys are always called our for been spiteful, petty and just too unserious generally. It has gotten so bad that most of the babes I was trying to woo that were not even Nigerians, turned me down after giving me the green light ab initio, cause they thought (rather wrongly cause of my "Tobi" name on Facebook) that I was Yoruba. Na until I prove say I no be Yoruba I even manage see chance of chopping toto grin
Yimu. Our women can 'denigrate' us (as you put it), but e no mean say dem go abandon us for okoro. Ko Jor. Dem oversabi the difference. Las Las na we dem go still settle for. It is what it is dude. undecided

Lol. According to National Population statistics "Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey 2018" the SE has high rate of divorce and domestic violence than the SW. Infact SW has the lowest rate of Emotional/Physical/divorce rate. https://dhsprogram.com/pubs/pdf/FR359/FR359.pdf

Why did I bring the above stat, I am using that to show you that Igbo women really see it as a way of escaping the violent Igbo men by marrying Yoruba men. Igbo women are marrying Yoruba men because in Igbo tradition, they don't value women and they don't have right to inheritance like they would enjoy when married to Yorubas. Yoruba guys got swaggs and class, so they are normally attracted to girls.

Adeyinka Grandson just wanted zero marriage between Yoruba and Igbos. All what he's been doing is re-orienting Yoruba men from marrying Igbo men because he said their kids will not be accepted in Igboland. What he said is basically his own thinking and he sometimes speak too toxic which explained why most Yorubas don't take him serious.

Funniest thing is that the Igbos are not only prostitutes across Yoruba land alone, they are into prostitution across Nigeria. Go to Port Hacort, Abuja, Kano, Kaduna, everywhere. The Igbos have the largest number of prostitutes. Are ypu contesting this fact?

Even in the South-South:
Go to Ogu/Bolo Igbo Women are there doing ashawo.
Go to Bonny Island they are there. Go to Okrika they are there.
Go to Onne you will see Igbo prostititutes there, what about Port-Hacourt? They full there.
Go to Ghana East region Igbo prostitutes full there. What about greater Accra? That is their trade.

The first thing that always come to people mind when they mention Igbo women is intimacy gadget.
Waa gbayi. Truth is that most Yoruba women don't find igbo men attractive coz they are aware that the vast majority of them are chauvinistic and control freaks. Yoruba women are generally raised to be free/independent-minded and expressive, which is alien to the average domineering okoro men (and women).

That is why a lot of their women with some exposure (or the ones that grew up in Yorubaland) tend to prefer yoruba men to their own men. #Realtalk. There is an igbo lady family friend (U.S-based) who keeps begging my mother to please help hook her daughter up with a Yoruba guy. I am not even bullshyting. That speaks volumes.

Salewa97:
It will generate the same rancor if it had happened in the South East. If an Igbo man had done this by employing a Yoruba just because of his wife, they would have done the same.

You Yoruba liberals don’t think before talking. What is your grievance about Tinubu? Do you have any Yoruba leader that is better than him currently?

We need to purge you liberals out coz you’re of no importance to the Yorubas. You should kuku have told Akeredolu to announce an Igbo man as his deputy so that you can claim sophistication.
Bro, these people are hypocrites so no need disturbing yourself. Below are screenshot of their reaction to a Northerner attempt to run for office in their region. They re baba la hypocrites.

The reality is that they wanted to "kill" Lagos as an economic hub. They abandoned the National assembly and Federal secretariat in Ikoyi to birds ,rats and snakes.
I do not always agree with Tinubu's politics but he clearly was a visionary leader and transformed Lagos.
What Lagos has become since 1999 was not an automatic given.
It is BETTER in many ways than it ever was when it was capital nearly 30 years ago.

Ignorant people talk about HOW MUCH money Lagos has.

Lagos state annual budget is about half or less the budget of Harvard university
.
This is what goes to pay salaries and provide security that the FG fails to do and is also expected to provide infrastructure.
It is an uphill task but WE are winning
You have spoken the koko. Their hope and prayer was and still is that Lagos would stop growing, that way they can blame it on 'Yoruba incompetence', but since that did not happen, they either try to claim credit for its evident growth, or whitewash it as though it is insignificant. If you have noticed, they exhibit more anti-Lagos sentiment than any other ethnicity in Nigeria (as if they don't benefit from her progress). It's all in an attempt to discredit its strides out of jealousy and envy for that ethnicity whose sterling administration is responsible for its continued growth and success.

Those omo ales are jokers. Amotekun is here to stay. All the SW states have passed the bill, including Lagos State just 3 days ago. Anyone who is against Amotekun should steer clear from yorubaland, simple.

I'm more worry by the geometrical fall in the standard of education here in southwest.
Guy, only NL newbies are yet to know that you are an igboman hiding under a deceptive handle. If you wanna take shots at the Yorubas, you don't have to be a coward about it.
PoliticsRe: . by FlyoruB: 1:19pm On May 13, 2020
The Op is just another self hating Nigerian. He mentioned Nairobi as if it is not the same Nairobi that has the worst and largest slums in Africa.

PoliticsRe: . by FlyoruB: 1:14pm On May 13, 2020
Nonsense. Nigerians will pretend as if other countries too don't have shitty parts in their cities. They will talk as if Nigeria is the only country with the worst of everything while every where else Is perfect. Self hatred is a disease. Lagos is bae, if you no like am move to Luanda.

Baba.. We need a platform to continue these conversations oo

A website where we can have like a "group chat". A single thread so no one has to create any thread. All we just do is chat about Yoruba-related issues a la Whatsapp

With a simple interface and only email required to post.

Scholes and I have been discussing it. We're looking at Google groups or Reddit but they have their limitations. Do you have any suggestions?
I am totally in support, chief. Just a few days ago, I felt like discussing an important issue amongst our tiwa'n'tiwa, like we used to at the parapo joint back in the day. The realization that we no longer have such a platform really depressed me, sotay I had to log on to the ooduafamily forum just to get a taste of the good old days.

Show me rice mill in Ogun state grin grin
Guy, I know your M.O. I would have called you jobless but then I remember that what you do on here is actually your day job. FYI, Ogun state has been growing and milling rice long before you were born. Ofada rice has been underdgoing cultivation and milling in Ogun long before Anambra became a state. #Fact. Just because you didn't know that doesn't change that. Sawonjo Mitros rice mill and Veetee Rice mill (both in Ogun) have been milling hundreds of thousands of tons of rice without making noise about it. I know your intention is to turn this thread into another Anambra picture-fest (as usual), but I refuse to be sucked into that foolishness. Like I said earlier, Yorubas don't even give a damn about what you all have going on in your space, but you are the ones always eager to do 'notice me' by comparing yourselves to us. But then I can't really blame y'all, coz after all is said and done, comparing yourself to us is the only way you can validate your perceived importance.

Google Anambra and Ebonyi Rice farms
Well, I understand that you find this trolling antic therapeutic, considering your disappointment over that poverty statistic. But I would urge you to move on buddy. By the time you wake up tomorrow and the next, Osun's poverty rate would still be better than that of any SE state. It is what it is. undecided You just have to... move on.

Tell Obiano your boss to increase your allowance so that you can take a trip to Ogun and see for yourself. Not that your confirmation would mean anything, since you are a non-entity and all, but atleast it would satisfy your curiosity. undecided

There is nothing like embittered.
lies are not good.
it's only liars themselves that feel comfortable when concocted lies are presented as facts.
Where is the lie?? Because you refuse to believe facts doesn't automatically make those facts lies. It is you igbos that have very serious self-esteem issues since you have chosen to make Yorubas your standard measures of success or failure in life. undecided. E. G, Yorubas don't really care about the volume of rice that the SE produces, but you guys will get angry and start throwing a fit when data from our end turns out to outperform yours. It's not our fault that we're better than y'all in every way, we just are. undecided Don't blame us, blame baba God. But this constant habit of trying to put others down to make igbos feel good or better than everybody else is stupid and childish. Real talk.
PoliticsRe: Who Still Remember This Propaganda (photos ) by FlyoruB:
Smh. It's obvious the Op is still pained over that NBS poverty report. No worry, Las Las you will be alright. Make I give you another reason not to sleep well again this night, since you find it so hard to imagine that Ogun can produce a mere 600+ tons of rice, when just barely last week or thereabout, the Ogun State Government did a press release that farmers at the 120,000 - hectares rice farm at Sowunmi village (Ofada/Mokoloki axis of Ogun) state have started harvesting the rice planted during the last dry season. How many tonnes of rice do you think can be realized from that many hectares? The thread even appeared here and made front page.

https://www.nairaland.com/5816473/ogun-state-begins-dry-season

The problem with the Op is that he is a very embittered and petty fellow whose existence revolves around glorifying his perceived superiority of his state of birth while putting down others. He just can't bring himself to accept that others too can shine. He's got very deep-seated self-esteem and mental issues.

I have always told the Yorubas to re-validate any statement from Igbo. Based on the second link you posted which showed the World bank computation of Poverty headcount in the six geo-political zone of Nigeria. The SW has the lowest Poverty headcount.

--First Image: Poverty Headcount Ratio by zone 2004,2014

--Second Image: Number of poor by zone (Note: This is by number and most times depend on population. India will have high number of poor people than Nigeria, but that might not mean India is poorer by percentage) Even in this SW had the lowest number in 2013.
To understand this better, you can see the North East has a lower number of poor people in that stat than even the SW but when you see the percentage metrics you will see NE has lot of poverty.

--Third Image: Middle-Class Households by zone 2004,2013
This showed the SW had the highest middle class in Nigeria than any other zone by percentage

--Fourth Image: Dynamic Poverty Profile by zone 2011-2013
The SW has the lowest number of chronic poor, Transient, and the Highest non-poor people in Nigeria.

Mrvitalis, I am using your own data that you provided and according to World Bank, the SW has the best metrics than any other region and this is not from Yemi Kale. Do you think we won't re-validate the link you posted? Don't ever try to play smart on me coz I always re-verify.

Can you now cover your eyes in Shame?

Bro, na their way. I used to be very gung-ho about refuting every one of their lies but at some point I just had to relax after realizing that upon all their chest-beating, the reality on ground remains constant. undecided I came to the conclusion that their loss of the civil war really messed up their sense of self-worth, hence their nagging need to constantly revalidate their self-esteem by embellishing and exaggerating their achievements while deriding others. That motivation causes them to twist facts in their desperation to project a false superiority. But like I said, nothing has changed after all these years of attempting to demarket the Yorubas in order to make themselves look better than they actually are. They are still the ones rushing us. undecided. Upon all, they are still leaving their 'most developed' region (with all its mansions) in droves to come and hustle in 'brown roof Republic' cheesy. Ain't that something? Nobody except they themselves believe their hype.

Even with the statistics conducted by Oxford Univeristy. Osun is above any state in Nigeria except Lagos.

The criteria used for determining poverty is complex and they take a lot of factors into consideration. In India, there are lot of rich people over there by numbers more than Angola but yet they are still categorized as on the the poorest people in the world.

Why must you guys cry at everything? Na you go say Dangote was rich because FG favored him but Innoson that almost all his sales are from the government will be termed independent of FG.

You guys have a lot of problem.
They are very deluded. The same set of folks whom are reputed to depopulate their region in droves in search of greener pastures, are contesting poverty statistics that aren't in their favour. I think all those selective images they splatter on here, of mansions in the SE have really distorted their senses. The fact remains that the average igboman in the East is planning an exit from the region in search of better opportunities. #Fact. Rural Enugu dwellers are wallowing in steep poverty, yet they will have us believe that the entire state is another Dubai. They will be aright Las Las jawe.

Come off it. Turkey and the UAE are Islamic countries that have embraced progress, and are doing better than some 'Christian' East European countries for example.
