You pay 2 million naira and above as rent p.a in Lekki/Ajah when you can pay 800k in Gbagada or 400k in Egbeda. That's an extra 1.2 million you could have used to help the needy.

You buy an SUV or saloon car at 3 million naira and above when you can get a clean tokunbo at about 1million. That's 2million naira you could have used to grade that your bad and bumpy street instead of waiting for government. Your community would be grateful.

You pay 11k monthly for DSTV Premium so you can watch premiership football when there is DSTV Family at 3k and Access at 1.5k. That extra 8-10k can feed a poor family for a month.

You wear designer clothes when there are cheaper options, go to the movies every week, spend 20k monthly flying okada when you can take a bus and you think its not a luxury? Ask those who can't afford any of these.

We can all afford to give more to charitable causes than the 1k, 5k, 10k or 100k we give now if we scale down on some of these "luxuries", but we all love a little more comfort. Aren't we all just as "guilty?"

toluxa1: What does one do in the case where you fish are eating one another? This happens alot on my farm. This is the reason I had to sell them before full maturity. They'll eat a whole big fish entire leaving only the head. It happens mostly after we change their water.

You cannot absolutely do without this occurence in fish farming.

The cause is mostly due to skin peeling bacteria infection on one of the fishes and this will make other fishes to feed on the wounded fish and will eventually lead to the death of the wounded fish. This will keep occuring if the disease or its cause is not properly treated

DueTime: Try Nigerian Institute of Oceanography and Marine Research (NIOMR) at Wilmot Point, Off Ahmadu Bello, Victoria Island. They have two sizes of fish smoking kilns and I hear the kilns are very good.

The role of mother in child upbringing is so important.
The truth is that both parent have the responsibility to bring up their children in godly way
While the father goes out to get the need of the family, it is the responsibility of every mother to be at the home front, watching, monitoring and caring for the needs of the children.
What the children needs from their mothers is more of friendship, counsel, love, good example, godliness, good virtue, etc
But you realise that many mothers are not always there for their children.
They want to compete with their husband in terms of material things. It can't work like that. God did not design it to be that way. It will fall back on the children.
Failure of mothers in these areas always warrant children's failure, this will in turn be a source of sadness to the entire family.
However, I am not saying mothers/wives should always be at home, but the moment you start having children, your work has to be the one that will not make you to be too far from your children.
Female children needs to be monitored closely and counselled from time to time.
The role of mothers at home is very sensitive, important, builds the family.

DueTime: Catfish usually matures (get to 1kg and above) after 6 months (on the average) after hatching. So if you stock juveniles of 2 months old, after three months, expect to get at least 25% at about 1kg. Note that at this time, they are already 5 months old. At six months (i.e. 4 months after stocking), expect to get about 35-45% 1kg and above. Note that the results depend on a whole lot of other factors like water quality, quality of feed, breed and genes of the fish, etc.

You're on point,
I think additional factor is the source of your fingerlings.
* Some people are very greedy and wicked. They will sell last sorted figerlings (runts) and you will feed them for 7months and you still can't get 10% 1kg in your pond.
* Spacing is also very important factor. Some people will jampack their ponds with excess fish, thinking it is the number of fishes you stock that will give profit.
* Sorting your fishes monthly is also very important. Sort the big ones sort the smaller ones. Make sure you have similar size of fish in same pond. The bigger fishes will always dominate smaller ones and will not allow the smaller ones access to food.

* Feeding your fishes rightly very important. Start with coppens or Durante. After 2months, you can start using locally palletised feeds with rich protein formular.

* Fish farming is not for people with poverty mentality. If you feed your fish anyhow, you will end up losing. If you treat them anyhow, they treat you anyhow in term of production as well

Most of the people who responded did not get the insight to the matter. Moreover, the story was not insighful enough to warrant outright condemnation.
Stealing in law means different things. For example, if you're a technician and someone gives you gadgets to repair and it gets missing, law will call it stealing, if someone breaks into someone's house in his/her absence and take his property without his concent, it is stealing. If you convert a property entrusted into your care to repair or keep for personal use (like the computer in question) and you're eventually arrested, it will be called stealing. Ofcourse, someone cannot keep a computer with me and I won't use it if I don't have mine.
