Why are Nigerians so obsessed with the exchange rate? I guess it's because we spend so much on foreign goods and services to satiate our inferior complex. Anything 'Abroad' is good as far as it's not made in Naija. A dude I know spends all his dough on imported goods even on bathroom slippers. Slippers really! The last regime almost depleted the reserves just to defend the naira during the elections. This regime is not falling for that. Do we know that over 90% of the milk consumed in this country is imported in powdered form. We need to stimulate agriculture and manufacturing in this country and deviate from the oil rush. If we adopt this approach, local production will be stimulated and the demand for forex will eventually wane. But seriously, It's shocking what Nigerians import into this country. |
mbaemeka: mbaemeka:Brother, you are on point. I've gone through most of the posts and yours is as clear as day. You must have a deep understanding of spiritual things. The King of Salem was just one of the manifestations of the Holy Spirit in the Old testament. I recently found this out. Up until recently, I thought he was just a man. Some say Melchizedek is Jesus. That could be true but I really doubt. Jesus never at any point existed outside of the Father as a separate being(both spiritually nor physically). From the foundations of the World, He was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was and is the very life of God. That life became flesh and dwelt among us. Paul tried to liken his present day ministry to that of one that existed(and still exist), who was superior to Abraham - the one the jews hold highly. This was so eloquently stated by mbaemeka. Jesus obtained this ministry the day He was resurrected and anointed High Priest of the Most High God. He had never operated in this ministry before. Prior to reading the posts of mbaemeka I wasn't too clear on these things but its becoming clearer now. My prayer is that we may all receive deep, intimate understanding of the Supreme being who loves us soo much. |
But this guy get WORD sha. That was a moving sermon. |
FEAR(First Encounter Assault Recon). Try playing it at night and tell me how far. |
1. a = 14, b = 16; Solution: a=2; b=7 enigma(x=2,y=7)//passing by value begin y = 7 + b = 14 x = b + 2 = 9 b = 9 + b = 16 a = 14 end enigma 2. a= 23; b = 23 solution a=2;b=7 enigma(a,b)//passing by reference begin b = b + b = 14 a = b + a = 9 b = a + b = 23 a = 23 end enigma 3. I have to agree with beaf, the value of n is unknown 4. The question needs more clarification. |
Beaf: He actually asked for $3million. The 0.6million USD was meant to be the first installment. Now that's more like it. Greedy fellow. |
Corruption in this country has reached endemic levels. When Ribadu said that all nigerians are corrupt, he was vilified. I don't care who you are or where you're from, we all have our price tag. What I don't understand is how a senator probably accruing 800 million naira a year in salaries and bonuses ends up with a price tag of $600,000(90million naira). Well I guess Subsidy probe is over. A win win situation for everybody yet, we all lose. The masses get to satiate their desires for retribution by exposing the corruption, the Government gets to look like actually tackling the issue and the oil companies and the various moguls get to carrying on with business as usual. Well done guys, well played. |
Tom Brady was average in the 2nd half. Disappointing. Congrats to the Giants. |
And the Giants have won the game. No way back for the Patriots. This is bad |
New England Patriots all the way. NY Giants knocked out my dear team, the Saints(Drew Brees the Pass master). I hope I don't bite my tongue at the end of the day. |
First of all my heartfelt condolence to all those affected. It was barbaric and shameful to carry out such attacks. No value for human life at all. A lot of us are pissed and frustrated with the spat of attacks but it is critical that we do not let our sentiments cross Ethnic or religious boundaries. I almost fell for that today but then I realized that is their end goal. As someone highlighted earlier, their goal is to start a sectarian conflict between Christians and Muslims. I pray that never happens. It behooves on us all to be security conscious wherever we are. This means taking whatever actions to protect our lives and the lives of our loved ones. Avoid public gatherings, cinemas and be mindful of who you interact with. It's the world that we live in. We all need to make these adjustments. For all those blaming the government, well I understand your point but remember that no security system put in place is fail safe. Just ask the Christmas Day bomber in the U.S. |
