Is this applicable to students on tier 4 visa?

ukay2:
For CASH LISA account holders, do not forget to get the £4,000 into it to get the free 25% ((£1,000) by end of tax year in 5th April 2023. This could be used to deposit for your first mortgage house. Husband and wife less than 40 years could open this account and save upto £10,000 each tax year until both reach 50 years when you cannot save money in the LISA account.

For STOCK & SHARES ISA account holders, do not forget to max out the £20,000 allowance per tax year, 5th April, 2023. When you max out the £20k in stocks and shares ISA account, you can keep putting more funds in your General Investment Account.

There are so many stocks that are quite cheap in NYSE...you can cherry pick good dividend paying stocks with dividend yields upto 6-8%.

Remember that profits from stocks and share lSA account and dividend payments from your stocks and shares ISA account are not TAXABLE....tax man doesn't look into these earnings

Slow and steady win in the market....

HAPPY 2023.....

If a tier 4 dependent is able to switch visa to tier 2 (carework to be precise) can they apply for IHS refund and will the total amount of money paid for IHS be refunded?

Secondly, what and what is classified as public funds?

The agent is just exploiting u....
only one person will be issued the COS, weda u pay 20million or 1M...ur family will just apply as dependant paying only visa fees, which can be immediately or even later u land uk...

if u let him know this he may either withdraw the COS from.u to another client by claiming they only do family package...or he may say he will have to pair u with another person to pose as ur spouse..... all na format to maximize their gain....

An agent for CoS is asking to know the number we are in family so he can give us a price.

It's actually family of 5 but want to tell him we are family of 3 to beat down the price. My questions now are:

1) does a CoS shows the number of family depended on it?

2) what if we told the agent it's a family of 3 can we add the other two kids when filing for visa?

Ps: I will be filing for the visa myself right from my sitting room.

Gurus in the house I need you all to give me answers.

Skilled Worker brings some changes to Tier 2. If you're not on PSW, you need Skilled Worker visa.
Your PSW does not counts towards 5 years to ILR. It however counts as part of 10yrs (legal residence) to ILR. PS: This is also different from ILR on the basis of private life.
Skilled Worker counts towards 5 years to ILR irrespective of job categorisation.

However, to get Skilled Worker, there are certain requirements - #Eligibility. For some, eligibility implies being on the shortage occupation list. Put differently, it is not the job on shortage occupation list that counts towards 5 yrs ILR, it is having the Skilled Worker visa that counts. However, the shortage list positively aids the Skilled Worker for some jobs.
Skilled Worker extract - link
If you want to stay longer: ... After 5 years, you may be able to apply to settle permanently in the UK (also known as ‘indefinite leave to remain’). This gives you the right to live, work and study here for as long as you like, and apply for benefits if you’re eligible.
What you can and cannot do - With a Skilled Worker visa you can:
apply to settle permanently in the UK (also known as ‘indefinite leave to remain’) if you’ve lived in the UK for 5 years and meet the other eligibility requirements
ILR eligibility - link
You must: ... have lived and worked in the UK for 5 years

Thank you

jum33:

To start counting towards your 5 yrs for ILR ,the permanent job gotten must be on the shortage occupation list and the employer must be ready to sponsor you and a COS must issued for that
Travel / Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by Focus99: 10:18am On Jan 30, 2023
Thank you

bigtt76:
On expiration of the 2 years post study visa, you have to switch to another visa category - usually skilled worker visa which would require sponsorship from an employer.

No it does not count towards your 5 year ILR route through employment in the UK but rather towards your 10 years ILR route via Education in the UK meaning you can decide to go back and study a course which shows progression to your earlier degree.

I hope this helps.

Gurus in the house help my confusion please😂

As a student on a tier 4 visa you can decide to switch, get the CoS and start counting 5yrs towards ILR (permanent residence) OR you can decide to finish from the school, pay £2000 to get 2yrs Pgwp. Here is were my confusion lies omo

So let's say I decided to finish my school, get my 2yrs pgwp and luckily for me I got a job (permanent role)

1) will I still be needing CoS since I got a permanent job role?

2) will I start counting 5yrs for my ILR since I got a permanent job role or will have to apply for ILR immediately I got the permanent job role?

Note: Immediately husband student visa is out the wife will put in her application.

A friend got admission to study in UK. She's based in Turkey (did Bsc in Cyprus then move to Turkey). She have never worked but on her CV she used in getting the admission she put in her job role as an "online marketer" for a company.

She wants to apply for a visa now and she needs a way around it to show study gap. Though she run little business anyways.

Can she get an employment letter from this said company she works as an "online marketer" or a reference letter will do? If a reference letter please I will need a sample.

Note: the company is in Nigeria while she is in Turkey

Is bank statement not need for Australian visa application?

weldonextreme:

In reality. Visa grant to study in Canada now is quite competitive. On the other hand, Ur preferred uni. in Australia is under stream line visa processing, meaning student visa is pretty straight forward. No bank statement is required.
But if u opt for Australia, be prepared to buy dollar from black market to pay for commencement fee, then receive Ur CoE as soon as possible and apply for your student visa. I must warn you, Australia is the most expensive country to study as an international student. So be prepared.

There r other ways to enter Canada if Ur bent on moving down there. Once u get Ur pr in Australia u can always decide to settle down in Canada eventually.

I was once in d same situation as u, but I finally chose Australia since my wife can accompany me to Australia once I receive my grant, on like Canada which is bit complicated.

Choice is urs...

Hello everyone. I'm new to Australian thread. I am still reading from page one but I have questions to ask so I won't miss the deadline for 2023 intake. Do Australian Universities accept HND? For I want to apply for Business Administration.

Secondly, are we expected to pay application fee? If yes how much please.
