New passport bearing new age hmmm...so the age is different from the age(s) you used in your old passport. Guy you like cheating maybe all cheating join why you dey get refusal since. Better be truth in the current application and go get a court affidavit as to your date of birth. If you like get 1000 new passports just know say data base na data base. Goodluck and be truthful in your application

mckellenkins:
Thank you for ur respond. I just summited the questionnaire I had to answer NO. In the year 2015 I was denied by Germany so I did a new passport.

The year 2018 I applied for US with the new passport, which I was denied same year France refused me visa.

Now I have new passport, bearing new age, that is wat am using to apply for uk student visa.

This is so heartbreaking. COS or CAS are your options now.

Could you please tell us the name of your school?

Maureen4sure:
My dear fellow Nairalander,

Greetings to everyone.

My name is Maureen.

This is my story; please, I need every little advice and suggestion.

I've been in the UK since January of last year on a student visa.

To get straight to the point, I failed one of my modules and also failed to resit, all not due to my fault.

My school app was locked due to a school fee delay from Form A; it took over 3 months before school accounts were created, and the resit was scheduled within the period school app was locked, which makes me miss the rest.

I talked to my module leader, and he said there was nothing he could do since I missed the resit. I went for an appeal, and they also said there was nothing that could be done.

I received a shocker two days ago, I received an email from the school visa and immigration department saying,

"Our records show that you are out of academic opportunities for one of your modules, and this therefore means you may not graduate with your full award and instead, upon successful completion of your remaining modules, you would be awarded a lower-level qualification than that which you were originally expected to achieve, You should note that in this event, this would mean that you are likely to be ineligible to apply for the Graduate Route Visa if you wished to do so. ''

I also received an email this morning from my module leader saying that I will be awarded a postgraduate diploma instead of a master's degree.

I have cried and cried my eyes out, I know I have disappointed my husband, who works tirelessly every day and night. He works in a warehouse and also as a security guard. For me to be able to get to this stage of my life,he has been there for me every day.

He has been down with this news for the last few days.

I will be submitting my dissertation by April, so I will be officially finished with school.

Please, where do I go from here?

I am a caregiver, and I have been for a year now. Getting COS from most care homes as a student has not been easy.

Hopefully, after submitting my dissertation, I can get a care home that can sponsor me.

It seems that's the only way out for me and my family now.

Please, house, I will need any other suggestions.

Thank you for your contributions.

Crypto trading is allowed in the UK? Waoooh

Omotaday:
It is safer if you can open coinbase, send your USDT there, sell it to coinbase and withdraw your fund inside monzo or revolut, then send to your Lloyds bank account. I have been doing this for months without issue

Yes, you proceed to visa application when you receive CAS.

POF to show is 28days

This school do not require POF to get CAS. @Eusp has given the information needed as he study there currently.

Whykogzy012:

Pls I wish to know, is it expected that immediately you have received a CAS one needs to proceed for VISA application and how many months POF is required? Also do they require POF for first deposit for or before CAS issuance

And can anyone outlast the usual normal procedures to getting visas and Medical tests .

Thanks

He will need to show proof of the business transaction he made that brought about the 4m into his account. Okay.

If he can show the proof fine no stress.

dduchess90:
Hello

Why would he need to count another 28days when it doesn't have anything to do with his maintenance funds...

These are his normal transaction and he is allowed to do so with his account.

Cheers

Ogbeni email them and asked for a refund, state the reason while you seeking for a refund "you couldn't meet your school deadline, blah blah, state your Gwf now. You will get a refund no sane country or person will hold back your money or them go let you enter the country as your course date don pass...hiss.

Tboy243:
Alright
Thank you very much for your contribution. What now happens to the IHS fees I paid earlier, wouldn't it be refunded? Also if the AR becomes successful, could UKVI grant my Visa before the September cohort which I plan to defer to and does it mean i may not submit POF?

Yea, you are right USA and Canada is best for car importation business. But a good website to buy from will be the issue especially when one doesn't have someone in both countries to view the car physically.

Hello to you all.

A friend passport has expired, he has applied for a renewal and biometrics is in three weeks. Can he get CoS with just BRP or he has to wait till he gets his new passport?

Okay

Hello

You mean paid visa fee/submitted without IHS?

That's fine probably an error on the system

Once the ECO spots this a link will be sent seperately so she pays the IHS.

Student on a tier 4 visa is considered for this overdraft (£1500) yea?

seyejohn94:

Yes, it may be worth considering switching to a different type of account now that you are no longer a student. Student accounts often come with special features and benefits, such as interest-free overdrafts(1500 for Barclays) , which may not be available with regular current accounts. By switching to a different account, you may be able to find better features and benefits that are more suited to your current financial situation and needs. You can also contact their service center.
Travel / Re: Uk Tax Forum For Immigrants And Uk Residents by Focus99: 4:32pm On Feb 16, 2023
I guess the best ISAs to go for is the lifetime ISA yea?

japhethGold:
ISAs ALLOWANCE

ISAs means Individual Savings Accounts. Every year, every individual who is a resident of the UK is allowed an allowance called ISAs Allowance. ISAs allowance is the amount of pounds that taxpayers in the UK are allowed to save into their ISAs account without having to pay tax on it.

So any interest incomes, dividends income, and gains that you make on the ISAs account is absolutely TAX FREE. You are not required to pay any tax on these incomes from this account.

The current ISAs Allowance in the current tax year is GBP20,000. The current Tax year started on 6th April 2022 and will end on the 5th April 2023. Please note that you can not save or invest more than the ISAs Allowance of GBP20,000 into your ISAs Account in a year. And any ISAs Allowance not utilized in any tax year can not be carried forward to a new year as it is lost.

TYPES OF ISAs
The common types of ISAs account you can open are:
1. Stock/Shares ISAs- this type of ISAs allows you to invest your savings in ISAs in stocks/shares of companies listed on the UK stock exchange such as TESCO shares and mutual funds such as the Vanguard Funds, etc. Stock ISAs are risky as you might lose part of your savings if the stock prices go down.

2. Cash ISAs- This ISAs is similar to a fixed deposit as the savings in it are invested in liquid assets like treasury bills which can easily be converted to cash without the risk of losing your money.

3. Lifetime ISAs- This type of ISAs is suitable for retirement or people who want to save towards their first mortgage to buy a home in the UK. It offers a powerful advantage because the UK government gives you 25% of whatever amount you save in it in a year for free! I love free things! And I hope you do too. This is to support you to save for long term or to buy your first home in the UK.
