Yes, you are right... But that does not exclude the use of your funds...
At first, I never had the intention of using my own funds in anyway(the source of funds was laid out in my proposal and there was no self there) but haven started there is need to introduce your own fund for the completion of the projects....

In all it all depends on what prompt you in having a personal projects..
