Hey !

What really happened in your own situation ? Aside that don't just rush into paying another MRV ... They have your info and record already. Have you been to GTB ? Have you confirmed your SEVIS receipt online and it says PAID ?

In all this ...clean record in paying the SEVIS fee is all that matters because SEVIS fee is going directly into the US government purse .

Tell us and be honest ..what happened in your own scenario ? Call the CGI again and ask them what happened to your CGI.

There is God...don't give up.

I paid my SEVIS fee on Nov 9th. Someone made the payment for me in America via western union. I got confirmation of the payment on the fmjfee website and I printed my confirmation way before my interview date which was Nov 27. Only for me to get to the embassy and the lady at the biometrics cubicle said she couldn’t confirm my payment even though I also gave her the payment confirmation that everyone gets after paying SEVIS fee. I got home & called the fmjfee customer support and the staff confirmed that my payment was applied to my account since Nov 10. They also emailed me as well that the payment was there. So o honestly dunno why the embassy staff couldn’t see it. That’s what happened

Hey !

I remember advising the original poster and if you are in the same situation here is what i told her to do ......

1. Walk into the GTB that sold the MRV and reconfirm if the receipt is still valid ... If you pay it online ..still Walk nto GTB or call the customer care .

2. Go and confirm from the agent if he or she has paid the SEVIS fee . Confirm the SEVIS fee payment online and make sure the online page read ..PAID

3. Call the CGI call center once you have satisfied the above stuffs and explain everything to them ...they will reopen your portal ...

The CO kept the MRV because he or she wants you to go and pay the MRV by all means ....he or she thought that you wanted to play a fast one on the embassy.

By that scenario, your CGI portal was temporarily locked while the MRV was temporarily rendered invalid from the embassy end (not from the GTB end) , therefore the CO might have forgot to re unlock it as well as the MRV payment due to their tedious work hours .

There is God...don't give up.

I have been on the phone with CGI since Monday but they still haven't resolved it yet. They initially said to wait 48hrs but that has since elapsed. Now they say i should wait another 72 hrs. Someone else advised me to just pay another MRV and open a new profile. I just want to know if I'm wasting my time tryin to revalidate this current MRV. Thank you

Hello everyone. The summary of my question is, Is it possible to get an F1 Visa (Study Visa) after giving birth in the US.

This is my timeline

-Oct 2022- B1/B2 Visa approved. Although one of the questions asked by the VO was if i intend to seek medical or surgical treatment in the US & i answered NO
-Oct 2022- I travelled for 3 weeks to the US & returned to Nigeria
-Jan 2023- I travelled back to have my baby. (i never sent a change of intent email). but i stated my purpose of childbirth at POE. the officer even advised me to make sure i get all my receipt & zero balance statements. I came back in May

Please do you guys think i have a chance of getting my f1 visa approved with the above explanation.

PS: i intend to go with my 2 kids. the older one was born in nigeria so i'm applying for f2 visa for him as well.

Thank you
