I think 900 is correct
Let the true value be y
Accountant added an extra zero meaning y0, that's 10y
Error = 10y - y = 9y
Percentage Error = Error/True Value X 100
9y / y X 100 = 900
Looks like the answer

Adding a zero to the amount is a 100% error. But if it was an omission of a zero, it is a 90% error.
I don't think this is correct. A 100% error shud double the initial figure and not add a zero to it. I think the correct answer is 1000%. I stand to be corrected tho

I think is should be one of the best nominations list I have witnessed. Very strong contenders in almost all categories. I especially love the nominees for best actor tv drama. Anyone could win and deserve it. I hope they give it to bryan cranston this year though. I know he has won 3 emmys but I doubt he has ever snagged a golden globe. All in all, very nice nominations. Much better than the emmys

Make we all calm down for this thread o!

Okay, here's my own personal opinion for why omolayo came 5th(?). He didn't have a memorable collabo with his mentor. A lot of people would agree that wizkid didn't help him. Unfortunately for him, olawale and omolayo have very similar fanbase, but majority prefer wale and that's why he didn't have many votes. Its possible for magaret to have that many votes if other countries voted for her (remember she was never on probation). My OPINION pls o!

Still wish omolayo came 2nd tho

toba: it is part of the game. I mean money money. There was a time in 2010/2011 when Gulder hosted the celebrity ultimate search tha featured the likes of daddyshokey, mamagee, princess, bobmanuel, emeka ike, Obesere, weird mc etc and the price at stake was N7.5million. Non of them were poor but emeka ike won and when he was being presented with the price, he said afterall its all about the money.

They are there for fame and money. People that are already too rich may consider the money are good but the poor would consider it as a fortune.

Chidinma's family was very poor, but money has changed her life. She left Ikorodu and moved to mainland in Lagos now. Apart from singing, she now attends the journalism school in ikeja. The poor would appreciate it more than the rich

I think you missed the point of my post. I never said money is not a factor in it. This is mtn project fame not mtn project charity. There is a purpose behind this competition and that is to reward the best musical talent. If it is just about handing out money then we could as well give someone that sounds like a broken gramophone record just because he is the poorest in the room. The money helps no doubt but the record deal ensures that you can kickstart your musical career and hopefully sustain yourself with a proven genuine musical talent. That should be the basis of voting for someone as it is merit- based.
Let's look at this thread for example. Someone comes and says he\she has seen omolayo's house and appeals for him to be voted for, while another comes to say he has the best vocal range etc etc. Now without any bias or prejudice, who do you think has made a more reasonable case?
TV/Movies / Re: Olawale emerges winner of MTN Project Fame West Africa - Season 6.0 by folakeojo(f): 8:51am On Sep 26, 2013
I really don't understand all these 'lagbaja needs it more' stuff. Last time I checked this isn't a winner takes it all type of competition. Its not just 1st prize that gets money and car (the only bonus being the recording deal), afterall praiz didn't come 1st in his season and look at him now. So I really don't dig all the sentimental voting. Vote because you think someone deserves it(on the strength of his musical ability) not because they are poorer.

So what do you think about GOT not clinching any award last night?
Do you think it deserved to win at least one..?

I think peter dinklage could have won for supporting actor but the same could be said for dt saul dude in homeland (mandy patkinson (sp?))
TV/Movies / Re: Primetime Emmys Awards 2013: Categories, Nominees & Winners by folakeojo(f): 9:37am On Sep 23, 2013
The only reason Jeff Daniels won that award is because Bryan cranston has won it 3 years in a row b4 and the votes got split among all the other outstanding actors. Even the media is reporting it as a major upset. Bryan cranston is the best of that group by a mile.

I love modern family but even I am tired of the best comedy award being gift wrapped to them every year. Same with the best actor in a comedy series to Jim parsons, e don do! I am at least happy breaking bad won best drama series this year. Totally deserving.

My analysis of the performances tonight.

In terms of personal composition, I'd give it to wale and ninilola. I really loved the story behind their songs and the vocal delivery. I loved roland's too, but I just wish he had made his song more inspirational and less churchy(please my opinion o!).
As for omolayo, I loved the arrangement of his song, in fact I think he and wale had the best arrangements, but the lyrics? Ehhh, not exactly what I would expect from someone like him. Besides we already have the nursery rhymes song from bez.
I have no comment on margaret's and immaculates songs because I couldn't relate to margaret's and I think immaculate's is crap (no offense), if your 1st song from the academy sounds like what wizkid and the rest would sing, then what's the point of going into the competition in the 1st place?

As for the combos, definitely the best was wale and tiwa's combo. I think tiwa really understood what her job was as a mentor to wale( wizkid I'm looking at you) and worked hard for him to shine. As in really hard, you would almost think she was goin to get a share of his money if he won. Kcee tried with nini, iyanya practically ignored margeret until they almost got to the end of their song, roland still managed to bring his pastorly sef into his duet with chidinma (what was with his dressing sef!!! Like seriously did the costume dept run out of casual outfits or something?), I loved loved loved immaculate's duet with praize, made too much sense.

Yes I am dedicating another paragraph to wizkid. What the heck was that about? He was the worst mentor, he seemed like he wanted to be somewhere else, I felt so sorry for omolayo.

Its really telling of our music industry if just one or two artists sound as good in studio as they do on stage with a live band. Praiz's voice is better than iyanya's (FACT!) by a mile.

I am ashamed to say I just started watching the wire (I know, I know), and after the 1st episode I was hooked. The acting is so good. This is the 1st time I'd see an ensemble cast of black actors and it won't feel like they are over acting. The story is on point too and the depiction of the every day life of the street, drug peddlers and cops is very realistic. I'd recommend it to anyone. WARNING! It's an HBO series, so expect a lot of profanity and nudity.

Did anyone get the list of songs to be performed for the coming week? Think it was one reggae song and one dancehall song each. I think immaculate's choices were the best in my opinion. Olawale got chris brown's fine china (sighs), it is well

Without a doubt the highlights of last night's show were olawale and omolayo's performances. I mean! I love the fact that both of them got songs that made them change up from a slow\bluesy tempo to a faster tempo, and boy did those two nail d two parts. Permit me if I sound like joke silva here again, but those two were kpa! And omolayo's bata at the end? Can't deal mehn....

Since mtn is using style to get us to spend more money with all dese yeye not puttn anybody on probation ish, make we no siddon look o. Please let's vote. May the spirit of last week never visit mtn proj fame again, amen!

#teamolawale, haven't watched today's show, would do that at night on stv but I know sey the guy go impress. I hope he gets better each week and gets good songs that showcase his vocal prowess. He has a good shot at winning along with omolayo (either would be deserving winners imho)
