I'm so happy dat a student frm oau 1forall is very honest abt d condiitns of d skul unlyk d odas. I'm a final year studnt of oau nd while i must say dat oau is prestigious bt i mst also say dats all dat is left of the skl, its prestige. oau is a skul dat if ur lukn 4 anytn u'll get it, academics, spirituality, clubbn anytn bt one thing i bet it can offer morw dan any oda skul is frustratn, if its nt strike, it wil b bad result or terrible lecturers. Imagin a lecturer confidently sayn in class dat ' grade A is 4 god, B is for me and C is for the very serious students' we have so many of them dat wil tell u outright dat their course is nt an A course. Imagine havn classes for 6.30 am. Plus numerous assignments under less dan conducive environments, fine oau is cheap bt accomodatn is an issue. A rum 4 5pple can house 10. if i wil advice d op, if ur lukn 4 a skl dat u will b stressd enuf to withstand any thing wen outside in d world, a skl dat its name alone will give u leverage amng peers den oau is d place for u. Imagine pple talkn abt grass and trees in skul. Mscheeww. Utter rubbish!

i still wonder why people are so adamant these days about getting a virgin. Are you saying that if you really like someone but you later find out that she is a virgin you'll leave her? irrespective of the circumstances that she lost it, i think more attention should be paid towards her character rather than her being a virgin. fine, it might hurt that you may not be her first, but if you take the right decision you're the one she could spend the rest of her life with.

i don't really lyk most of the names just mentioned. Most guys don't know that the name doesn't exactly need to have this romantic feel but rather the intent or meaning.
for example i had a guy that was asking me out and he found out that i was a lover of literature espy african literature and we realised we both liked the book "arrow of god" and later he started calling me ihuoma meaning "beautiful ". later on i went back to read the book and saw the context with which the name was used to describe a character in the book and i was deeply touched. For those of you that remember the book well you can just imagine hw i felt each time the guy called me "ihuoma", it made me feel special.

for example my bros calls his fiance chicken and she likes it die, though i really wonder the story behind that one

i am presently a student of oau and i can assure you it's easier for a camel to pass through a needle's eye than for oau that have that same nos of 1st class students in a year not because they don't merit it but just like someone righfully said some lecturers will never give an A in their course. We have lecturers here who will boast openly that A is for God B is for them and them rest of the grades are for students. The last time we had a large nos of 1st class students in our dept was in 2005 11 students and ever since then they have made sure that never repeated itself becuase people were quite shocked at the large nos of students. That's how it is in some schools and I don't approve so congrats to those in Unilag, whether they deserve it or not, only time will tell
