You have enough certificates to apply through express entry for PR. However, if you still want to go back to school, i'll advise you go for PHd.

2.5 million naira is less than $10k which is too small for college program in Canada. Most college programs start from $15k in addition to $10k for living cost.

ThePressNigeria:
Hello House,

Please gurus, kindly assist point out loopholes in my plan and assist with guidelines to put me on track.

I’m about to apply for a postgraduate certificate program and I just learned that progression is important in choosing the academic program I apply for.
Initially, I wanted a short medical/nursing course for sake of relevance in the job market.

However, I have the following certificates from studying in Nigeria:-
 First degree in Accounting
 Post graduate diploma in Management
 MBA Financial Management
 IOSH Safety certifications

I’m trying to earn a 3 year work permit from doing two 8 month relevant courses and apply for PR afterwards.
My family will be home in Nigeria waiting for me while I earn my certificates and maximize the 20 hour work and study.
They will join me once I succeed with express entry when I complete my study.

I’m going to be sponsored by two close relatives alongside my personal savings.
My budget is N2.5 million for the first program.
My questions are as follows:-
1. Which colleges in Canada can I apply for admission?
2. I understand you don’t require IELTS for some institutions in Canada, which ones please?
3. How much more funds do I require for my study and stay out there for the first certificate?
4. Any quick guides that will guarantee me admission for winter session (January)?

Please gurus, kindly assist point out loopholes in my plan and assist with guidelines to put me on track.

Thanks in anticipation!!!!

Totally dependent on your province but i'll say about $5,000 initially.

Get at least one year work experience as a nurse and look into applying for PR via AIPP. There are health organizations looking for foreign trained nurses in Atlantic Canada.

I made sure that my courses were in the same field. this helps tackle purpose of visit. So I had BSc Mass communication and got admission for MA communications. I also had experience in communications cos i was serving.

For proof of funds, my parent sponsored me, and I provided a detailed letter. I didn't pay tuition cos school did not want it but i attached the email stating that. Also added detailed document of sponsors. i also didn't include my own statement of account.

Home ties, I added parent's landed properties, tenancy receipts and building plans.

No SOP cos i felt it was not needed. everything was self-explanatory.

Really? Please what exactly did you submit

Travel history is not really an important reason visa get delayed. i got my study visa on a fresh two months old passport with no travel history. It's better to tackle other stuff like proof of funds, purpose of visit and ties than to focus on travel history.

p.s. i didn't even write any statement of purpose.

Obehi44:
To me this thing is just luck. But I also hate that fact that it's just luck. Some people gets TRV without any travel history and they will tell some that they either don't have travel history or they don't like the travel history. I see it as wickedness, flirt excuses, just ways if refusing people. Telling them different reasons.
Anyway, in your case, if your passport is empty, the VO says you should travel small even if its Ghana or Togo or Kenyan or Dubai.

Meanwhile, please what date did you order for the GCMS note and how where you notified?

Sorry about the delay. Yes you can change school and course of study if you find one you believe will work for you. It does not affect your visa application in any way.

Obehi44:
Hello gurus, helpers in the house, Pls help on this thought of mine.
I want to change school
I want to change course of study.
The question is can I change school and or course of study?
Will it have an effect or affect my visa application?
Please those already in Canada or with first hand info should help reply. Thanks
