Celebrities / Re: Ali Baba Reacts To Super Falcons' Protest Over Unpaid Allowances by folible(m): 6:05am On Dec 15, 2016
Origin:
This is a satirical piece written from the point of thinking of our government officials.

Ali Baba, like me, is just not too good a writer (is all).

When we consider the falcons issue (and the eagles too), you'll realize there are few sane people in government and they don't care about image. (both theirs and the country's).
you have just explained it perfectly

Writing is definitely different from speaking, alibaba' s write up wasn't as sarcastic as he intended. I'm sure If he had said this on a show, his intention would have been crystal clear.

Okay, my POE experience.

I flew Ethiad so my POE was Abu Dhabi. Great entertainment on Ethiad by the way. 7 hour layover and 14 hour flight from Abu Dhabi to JFK, New York. Apart from the long flight time, the flight was smooth and enjoyable. Great entertainment and good meal. I made sure the hostess kept coming with wine grin

So at Abu Dhabi with Custom & Border Protection officer

CBP: Your passport please
Me: Handed it over with the white n blue declaration form.

CBP: Why are you going to the US?
Me: Holiday & Vacation

CBP: Where are you going to?
Me: New Jersey

CBP: Why New Jersey
Me: I have family there.

CBP: What do you do?
Me: I work with ......and I'm into IT

CBP: Oh do you do cyber security too
Me: not my speciality but I knw the protocol.

CBP: How long are you staying
Me: 16 days

CBP: place ur fingers on the screen and he takes my fingerprint and stamps me in for 6 months. Enjoy your stay.
Me: thanks

I tell you something, I saw people that were stamped in for only 2 weeks and some a month after so much interrogation. I guess your story just hasout or you may have issues.

Got to JFK and just got my luggage, no security check again at all, we were treated like a domestic flight.

Cheers
Thanks for sharing

Honestly, I regret the bb subscription I did on this airtel network. They've taken my 1k and refused to give me data, its been over 24 hours now and they keep telling me they're working on it ( as if its rocket science). No wonder mtn has more subscribers

I personally don't think schools that go on ASUU strike, Nasuu strike, SUG protests and have outdated curriculum can ever be better than schools in north Cyprus. Especially if u studied computer science, GIS, any engineering course and science courses. With the innovations going on everyday in scientific world, I honestly don't think its sensible to compare extremely outdated curriculums in UI, Ife , uniben etc to schools in north Cyprus

Csami: I just have honest questions that need answers.

1. How does the avatar state work? Is it when the avatar is threatened he/she goes into the state or when he/she feels like going into the state?

When zahir told her what the poison will do to her, that was a threat, why didn't she enter the avatar state then?
Unlike aang, when yakone was blood bending him. He entered the mode and ended the guy once.

2. About the vaatu spirit, was she expecting someone else to fight her battle for her? Harmonic whatever takes place every ten thousand year. Aang was dead and she was very fortunate to be the avatar and honoured to fight the great spirit. Since the first avatar defeated vaatu, I think it is a tradition that any avatar born in that timeline must fight and defeat vaatu. IMO, not a big deal she defeated vaatu.

3. That I'm obsessed with superman's powers won't make me perfect or that "zahir's perfect" when I get his powers in the first 15mins to 1month.
No matter how perfect zahir's airbending is/ was, he can never be matched with the avatar.

you couldn't have said it better. nice points
TV/Movies / Re: Avatar; The Legend Of Korra.... by folible(m): 8:16pm On Sep 02, 2014
Aang was a master airbender( blue arrows all over his body)
2. Aang learnt fire bending from the original masters (dragons)
3. Aang also met the original earth benders (giant moles).
my point is Aang was master of the four elements and fought like one (you can rewatch his fights but Korra fights like an average bender who can bend all elements, even her avatar state was horrible. Aang's avatar state shielded him and his bison from drowning for 100years and kora's state couldn't even do poison. Abegi, I get it if you're a fan of Korra but face anime facts, Aang fought better.

pasqal09: But I felt really bad for Korra, she being crippled and all. I just hope they make her better and more powerful in the next book.
I hope so too cos she just seemed really weak when compared to Zahir and co

donbenart:

that's why it's a movie if Korea kills them that quick what do u want them to show but korra is truly strong
It could have been done differently, the avatar is supposed to be the strongest bender of any generation.
TV/Movies / Re: Avatar; The Legend Of Korra.... by folible(m): 6:09pm On Aug 24, 2014
nani667:

She's too weak.... Avatar Aang would never take a beating like that.... Once the situation became critical for Aang he enters the Avatar state.... And once he's in that state he's unstoppable.... I'm really disappointed that Korra couldn't handle those people... Smh
I thought I was the only one who noticed this, weakest avatar ever. That fight scene was really annoying, Aang was definitely better than this

Religion / Re: Ten Lies The Church Tells Women by folible(m): 10:54pm On Sep 09, 2013
"Husband love your wives and wives submit to your husbands", This scripture should shed some light, if men would love their wives, there would be no rough handling or maltreatment of the woman in the home and if wives would submit and respect their husbands, then their would be no fight for supremacy and equality. If u refuse to believe the bible then u learn from experience (the hard way).
