learn to read, please.

i never said i bought three washing machines cheap. i said i have been through three washing machines.

do you understand now?

the last one was having weird drain pipe problems. i had fixed it twice before, but it was obviously a matter of time before the drain failed completely. one day the drain gave way completely and i simply went straight to lg and bought a new machine

maybe i could have put the washing machine up here for sale. no buyer would know that it had a problem. i simply threw it away.

my current machine had its drain motor burn sometime last year. i was however able to remove and identify the exact part, and the part was available at lawanson.

the things i have been scammed on, slowpoke - are things i paid full price on - because this country is full of crooked no good yahoos like you who want to make money at all costs.
For a 40 year old man please be lying with sense, you threw a washing machine you bought new away because it had drain problems, clown. This is how you will be raising future lie mohameds grin. You will just open that your big mouth and be disturbing everybody here. because you bought cheap washing machines people should avoid used ones abi, nairaland self ordained adviser grin

A washing machine is one of the last things you want to buy used. You can't test it. And you may or may not be able to source any spares if it is bad

I say this as a person who has gone through three washing machines
This is wrong.
That you got scammed thrice because you are looking for dirt cheap deals doesn't mean it applies to everyone. People sell off good items all the time and this also applies to washing machines.

This is called chasing shadows. There are wanton killings and insecurity In a scale unprecedented in Nigeria. That's what the elders are saying. Disprove that and stop being intelligent by half by attacking the personalities of the elders.
Bullshit, it's not even too late to give a few of them juicy contracts and just watch how the narrative will change.

DivergentThinka:
Short answer : Its not advisable to use a stabilizer with a generator .

Long Answer:

Why ?
1. Generators usually come in built with voltage regulators (the good brands at least), technically the stabilizer is also a voltage regulator, so its like linking a voltage regulator to a voltage regulator . An analogy is trying to get a woman pregnant again when she is already pregnant grin grin, it can happen, the chances are very slim, but in most cases its completely a waste of time, and you are just stressing the poor woman. But scientifically she still can get pregnant "on top" of the existing pregnancy, don't let bore you with science grin .
2. Stabilizers can potentially pull more power than your generator can handle which can possibly lead to damage of the generator(Again the analogy of the pregnant woman, if she does get pregnant "on top" of the existing pregnancy, her body might not be able to handle the load) . The capacity, wattage /kva of the generator and stabilizer has to be taken into consideration .

If your gen is not producing stable voltage, the best thing to do is to resolve the problem with the generator by servicing it, or changing the faulty part .
Using a good generator repairer .
The repairer would also help adjust based on your typical load .

BUT
If you really want to use a stabilizer you can . if, BIG IF your generator is a high capacity generator e.g 6.5kva , or 13kva, And even with high capacity generators, you still have to be careful and consider the stabilizer wattage and that of your appliances . Does that mean smaller generators can't use stabilizers ?. They can , but there are too many variables to consider , stab wattage, appliance wattage e.t.c ... So its generally not advisable to use stabilizers because there are just too many things to consider that the "non-technical users", might not fully understand .

So except you know what you are doing and you understand how to calculate all these , or you use a Mikano generator with massive output , don't use a stabilizer .

If your generator is unpredictable with voltage spikes, its best to get it fixed , or if you want extra protection its best to get a good/quality surge protector . In simpler terms they don't really stabilize voltage , they just monitor and trip off connection to your appliances, to protect the appliances if the voltage is above an acceptable / set value . (Some surge protectors are adjustable , so you can choose at what voltage the power should trip off), they are better to use with generators as long as you are getting original ones, because some so called surge protectors are nothing but extension boxes .
what brand of stabilizer do you recommend. looking to get a 10kva wall mounted for the whole house, it will power 2 Acs (2 hp and 1Hp) a deep freezer and a fridge, 2 big industrial fans, and 2 big televisions(65 inch and 50 inches).

Am sure Femi knows that all this his paid hack jobs will be remembered as soon as buharri leaves office.

He knows the part of the country he came from and how the North treats them.

His punishment will be celebrated online for a very long time, am sure they are already debating on which prison he will spend time.
In as much as Buhari is the worst president in the history of Nigeria and Femi adesina is doing the bidding of his pay master, there is some truth in what he said

Answer that.. they are always the boss…
You are talking out of point. I am saying you people should stop the habit of attributing bad things to black people and good things to white people. it is foolish. All men are the same. If you don't have the sense to understand that then you are free to continue wallowing in your stupidity.

There is no such thing as "black mind/mentality" it's a stereotype brought about by Africans themselves as a result of centuries of slavery/oppression. The fact that you think and say it is being guilty of what you are accusing your fellow Black's of. There is only the human mind/mentality. Purge yourself of mental slavery dear.

Cab Business is as Old as time, Bolt and Uber are just modified Agbero, their simple job is to use tech to link Drivers and Riders together, I don't understand what you mean, this is a parasitic relationship and not partnership as inscribed in the T&C signed

The Vehicle is ours, 100% maintenance is on the owner/driver of the Vehicle and most importantly, we absorb all the risks

Is this the definition of Partnership to youhuh

I understand you're doing your Employees Bidding, but understand, it's our singular right to push them back to the drawing Board! Uber some years ago was very Arrogant, I want you to know they were humbled, and will soon be a thing of the past if they don't adjust! We are not forcing them! We want them to know that their days of using the "Divide and rule/donkey & carrot Approach" are over!

We won't use their App, we will continue earning on other Apps willing to actively partner with e-hailing drivers! Maintaining standard is not Cheap, so why the cheap fares! Are you aware the price for Corolla Engine is now 420k, that the moment you have issues, you are back to square one!!! This is a Breakdown for you so you understand this is a business and not charity! A trip from the Airport to Central business district is 4,100, you pay 200 toll, bolt or Uber takes 22.5% commission which is roughly around 902 naira, you pay FAAN 500 naira, then another 700 naira being cost of fuel, so from 4,100 your take home is 2,302 naira and you want us to maintain standardhuh What's the Value of 2,302 naira! Please let's be serious

If you can't afford a certain life style, stay in your lane! But don't lecture people running a business on what or how to earn!
This your talk of being able to afford a certain lifestyle and me doing my employees bidding is just trash and out of point. So anyone that disagrees with you is working for uber? thats rather a very foolish assumption.

My point is be a man, stop being lazy and look elsewhere, rather than gang up to blackmail. There are so many other ride sharing apps now. why must you insist on uber and bolt.

When I saw "entitlement mentality", the phrase which many ignorant Nairaland masochists use to justify their love for being oppressed, I decided to spare myself the trouble of reading your empty post. The right to protest and respect for the worker is part of the reason why many of you travel through the desert to Europe inspite of the many dangers linked to such a sojourn. Keep working hard to retain the 3rd world country status your country is ignobly know for.
Oga stop being lazy, go and huzzle and stop dragging right over someone else's property. The right to protest and respect for the worker is not the reason people are leaving the country, they are leaving because of the activities of corrupt individuals in position of power and the failed government of Nigeria.

People like you (and not Buhari or APC) are the problem with Nigeria. People are desperate does not mean they should be exploited! If what you just posted makes any iota of sense, then there will be absolutely no labour laws in or minimum wages in developed countries as every employer will treat and pay their employees anyhow and argue that anyone that doesn't like it should quit. I argued today with a Nigerian youth like you who was trying to defend Chinese and Indian factory owners who make poor, desperate and helpless employees to work 12 hrs for between #30000 - #50000 monthly. I ask you the same question I asked him; if we see nothing wrong with the status quo, how do we start insisting it should be corrected?
I actually feel sorry for people like you with your funny entitlement mentality grin. It is people like you that keep deceiving yourself into thinking you have some kind of right over something that is 100% not yours by any stretch of the imagination. Your type of people are too lazy to make the difficult but right decision of walking away and searching elsewhere, but instead you start dragging right over someone else's sweat and labour, or maybe you think people that own these companies just snapped their fingers and the company fell down from the sky and started operating.

To answer your question, what you see as wrong isn't seen that way by everyone, but you can do your part by walking away, if everyone does that what do you think will happen when there is hardly anyone to work for them?

Nature has a way of regulating stuff, there is the natural law of demand and supply and no one can do anything about it.
That people are desperate is no fault of the company and if there are more than enough people WILLING to work under certain conditions for reasons best known to them then its just the natural law of demand and supply taking its course. why do you think corporations source cheap labour from certain countries?

I am totally against any form of gang up to intimidate people that gave you a source of livelihood when you were jobless begging, applying and going through all sorts of scrutiny just to work for them. Now you are working and breathing small you are ganging because you want more. Simply walk away if you are not satisfied and go else where.
CareerRe: Bolt/Uber Drivers To Start Warning Strike Next Month. by foolbuster: 7:56pm On Apr 05, 2022
This strike is funny. It's not like the drivers are employees, they willingly accepted terms and conditions for using an app, now they want to form a cult to force a platform they willingly agreed to work with to bend to their will.

Not saying Uber and bolt are saints, but if you feel dissatisfied simply leave na aaa. Instead of forcing everyone, lolz. By the time they start facing driver shortages they'll surely do something to woo them back.
