Procashtips: And I put it to you that none of those that showed interest have an idea what they're talking about.
NONE!
You can't spend up to ₦2m to acquire a certificate just to work $50 a month when that same profession pays $50/hr (To some)
Na joke bro. People spend more than 10 million studying abroad and come back to do shitty jobs here. It's either you live outside Nigeria or you exclusively live among the upper class. |

Appleyard: What do you expect people to do when there are no jobs out there to accommodate their qualifications?
Maybe you should rephrase your questions to why should a BSc holder be riding Okada balance and take?
Why should someone that graduated from the university been carrying blocks or clearing bushes for people just to survive?
At the end of the day, the answer is the same; the Nigerian labour market is a destiny killer.
Where there are no jobs to accommodate thousands of qualified graduates yearly, majority of the few ones available would only pay way below expectations. Some graduates settled for the poor pay because it's not everyone that is jobless that has the strength and physic to carry blocks and earn 5k daily. The problem of this country is simply demand and supply. Even the jobs that we consider lucrative in Nigeria actually pay low by international standards. This is why just as Ghost left EU to look for employees here, mega western companies prefer to outsource millions of jobs to developing countries. Nobody said he's doing anyone a favor. |

Procashtips: I do and I know those settling for ₦30k jobs are those who never prepared for life after the four walls of the so called University they went to. The same could apply to the people seeking the job here. They learned the skills but they're not willing to invest time into finding fair jobs or maybe, like I've said, they want to use this opportunity to hone their skills. I totally get where you're coming from but even if he's offering to pay $1 per month, it's up to the applicants to decide whether the money is worth their services or not. |

Procashtips: Read na. I said entry level make a minimum of ₦350k within Nigeria
Those that work remotely make minimum of $1000 in that occupation.
What gave rise to this discussion?
Thinking anyone is doing a cyber security professional a favor by offering $50 a month for such job is the highest joke known to man. You used two opposing words (expert and entry level) so I had to go with one. The guy said he was looking for low-skilled employees and favor or not, you can see people bidding for the job here already. |

Procashtips: Why should a BSC degree holder settle for a ₦30k job?
What happened to the knowledge he gathered in 4 years?
Why even go to school just to come settle for ₦30k monthly salary?
Conductors earn more than ₦30k monthly.
Even block carriers for site earn more than ₦5k per day for site. You definitely don't reside in Nigeria. Graduates have so many options (esp online) but many are too blind to seize them, but it's true that many are settling for and even seeking jobs paying 30k-50k monthly. It's the sad reality. |

Procashtips: Which lawyer receives ₦15k per month?
Gbadebo or who?
Cyber security experts don't earn anything less than ₦350k in Nigeria (Entry level).
Cyber security job is not some teaching or charge and bail kind of job. You'll spend nothing less than ₦1m to get the certification exam written after spending thousands to prepare for the exam.
Make una stop this mediocrity una love to propogate. Enough said. It seems you have no idea what law firms pay Nigerian lawyers or the kind of exploitation that is going on in almost every sector in this country . Check these threads out: https://www.nairaland.com/2534179/did-make-mistake-studying-lawhttps://www.nairaland.com/5898509/firm-seeks-recruit-lawyer-25k Of course this doesn't mean some lawyers don't make millions. And listen to yourself. You said 'experts.' If experts are making just 350k (I said 'just' because I know how lucrative it is), imagine what people with basic skills would be earning. I am not a cyber security expert but I don't need anyone to tell me what it takes to get into the field, but we are talking about a country where graduates are doing all kinds of manual jobs just to put food on the table. A country where bankers are quitting their jobs to go and wipe windows in Europe. And don't forget that 700 Msc holders applied for a driving job at Dangote Cement in 2012. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2012/11/6-ph-d-704-masters-holders-among-applicants-for-drivers-job-in-dangote/amp/Now just imagine how things would be now with all the hardship in the country. Anyway, the most important thing is that neither my opinion nor yours matter. At the end of the day, it's up to those who possess the skills to decide whether or not they are okay with the amount. It's only when your belly is full that you begin to think of mediocrity. |

Procashtips: Did you bother to check the skill he's looking to hire for $50 a month?
Cyber security!
Please, do some research on what cyber security entails and the average salary for such a profession. I know just how advanced the skill is, but my point is that it isn't too bad compared what highly educated Nigerians are paid in this country. Do you know that some lawyers receive 15k per month in many chambers in this country? The examples are countless bro. Some have the skills but no one is willing to give them a chance because they have no experience, and this is something the job can help them with. It's low, it's probably exploitative, but it's not that bad if you look at the peanuts graduates and skilled people receive in this country. |

Appleyard: I understand how you feel vis-a-vis these critical economic times, but it's just an offer and he is not forcing anyone to take it.
Moreover, jobs of that nature doesn't always require people to work around the clock or on every working day.
While the pay is low for a start, it's still far better than some useless businesses here in Nigeria that use you and pays you like a donkey. Example, the average private school in Nigeria pays some of their teachers 30,000 Naira a month. Is that not wickedness?
Spit. This was exactly my thought. $50 is in fact very, very, very reasonable compared to what Nigerian firms offer here. I served in a factory in Kano during my NYSC and till date, those guys pay 40k per month to people who are frequently getting exposed to dangerous chemicals. Private schools are the worst |

23jerryking: So it's safe to assume that Israeli ground troops are not really that special, their air force though is good. I don't expect the ground soldiers to be dying like this given that they took it upon themselves to invade Southern Lebanon in the first place. See, even the Nigerian air force would seem good against Hezbollah and Hamas. And don't forget that Israel still had to get tons of free bombs from USA just to maintain their campaign in Gaza. Israel is a US military outpost with way too much propaganda supporting it. |

emmaodet: How are we even sure the 6 day war was fought by isreal alone? We were only fed by the western media about what happened. With what am seeing so far, the west and Nato heavily supported them. If not for social media today, we will still believe isreal is the one single handedly fighting in Gaza and Lebanon while the reverse is the case. So many weapons coming from Germany, US, UK. Funds and spying supports. We would have been told how brave they were blowing up embassy, Hezbollah bunkers etc without knowing US is the one behind. If not for social media, we would have been praising Ukraine how bold they are to stand up to a bully like Russia and blowing up many Russian ships and military bases, meanwhile the US the brain behind it but just using Ukraine hand to act This is absolutely true. The West used to enjoy complete media dominance at that time and everything they said was gold. Israel has been caught lying over a hundred times (by my estimates) since last year, and most of them had been reported as factual by western media. There's definitely much more to the story than we have been told |

Lawag3: When you said heartless statement I was expecting a post where I was wishing Palestinians Death or calling them sub humans like the way some of you do towards Jews.
What is heartless in showing you all the death tolls in places like Syria Iraq Sudan that did not get the attention the death in Gaza are getting.
What's makes Gaza a genocide when the war in Syria Iraq and Sudan killed more civillians and places like Iraq was attacked for a flimsy reason why are they not considered a genocide.
I pointed out the fact that Israel hasn't killed up to one percent of Gaza's popular and this is a fact.
I pointed out the fact that Hamas hides under residential areas and hospitals and school is this a lie?
And the fact that Israel keeps civillian deaths to a minimum.
In every war there are calsuaties but not every war is a genocide is this a lie?
There is a difference between genocide and war calsuaties true or false.
Answer the questions I ask and underline my heartless comments because I didn't see any. I have removed the post, although trying to downplay Israel's open atrocities is bad enough. Let's not derail the thread any more than necessary though. I have made another post for you though. Just read it and forget about exchanging replies here. |

You did make insensitive comments but it turns out that most horrible comments that I blame you for had been made by cancri and sainttwist. In this case, I think you are redeemable. I urge you to forget all of the wars we fight here and look at what Israel is doing with an open mind.
Forget what Hamas is doing and ask yourself, would Israel have fought Hamas the way it is currently doing if they were living among Israelis?
Would you support the Nigerian government to fight criminals living among you the way Israel is doing in Palestine?
Imagine Fulanis bandits being backed by superpowers around the world to take over Nigeria. Would you cower and submit in the name of peace or would you fight for your land?
Don't reply my. Just ask yourself these questions with an open mind. I hope you get better and change for good. |

Nobody called it genocide. Israel has not killed up to 1 per cent of gazans and everyone is shouting genocide.
Gaza is the most dense place in the world by population, Hamas hides among civilians under civilians in civilian hospitals and schooles but Israel has keep civilian casualties to a minimum.

11doubledee: I'm tired my brother,I have said it several times on this platform that casualties are just inevitable in wars and that word genocide has been abused over and over like we can't read. Before isreal declared war ,what was Hamas fatality figures? Probably zero. Now they claim 35000,12000 children (which is most likely a lie). The truth is that Hamas is no match at all for isreal and they had no clear war strategy other than sympathy and propaganda which is obviously not working till this minute. They (HAMAS) should shoulder most of the blame for causing pains to isrealis and a much bigger pain on Palestinians. . Your statement is mostly correct, but a certain degree of casualties is avoidable and yet you're okay with as much casualties being inflicted on civilians as possible. |
