the cheapest room in Le meridien will be in the region of 50 k naira and its quite a distance from the stadium,however Elmariz is much closer and has rooms for between 7-15 k naira

there are so many hotels here in Uyo,however depending on your budget you can make a choice....when you say first class are you talking of 5 star hotel...that would mean you would stay at Le meridien ibom hotel,its a big hotel and that's where the Super Eagles will be staying as well,however there are other hotels all over the town.Examples are De castle hotel in Ewet housing,Davok hotels also in Ewet,Elmaritz hotels 26Akpan Essien lane off Iboko street.....I can go on and on

Akwa ibom is seeing the most insensitive governor since the creation of this state in 1987.This governor does not care about the peoples welfare, no chairs or tables in classrooms across the state, refuse is not being collected on time,gratuities have not been paid to retirees,contractors that executed jobs that were duly completed and handed over have not been paid,many roads are still begging for attention, no functional hospitals or even clinics instead all he does is going about deceiving the people with ground breaking ceremonies and a so called toothpick factory.Then he calls 1.2 billion naira of the peoples money paltry for a non productive Governors lodge...it doesn't get worse than this.
