If you have minimum $500 as first deposit , go for their "raw spread" account. you get zero spreads on CFD's too.

Yes I have the money but I intend to do little capital as this is a demo-live account. Maybe that can come in when I am done practising and intend to invest good amount of capital.

Also what I do if I'm joining a new broker and before I fund, I open a quick demo of the same capital and leverage, then I quickly enter the trades so I can practically see how much the margin, free margin and margin level is....If satisfied, then I fund; if NOT, then I ask for more leverage OR add more funds.

Good idea boss, I will open a demo account with same amount I intend to deposit and try this out. Of cos I will post for you to help check it out cos I'm clueless.

Anybody can claim anything online for traffic (They make money on adverts) To me, they are liars. They use historical charts to explain their strategy which is fraud.

Have you researched how much of your capital will be used as margin? and how much you have free?

This ONLY had me delete Oil from my list, but I love trading it.

Lol. The account will be for oil alone and maybe other CFD occasionally. I'm not too familiar with the margin definition and requirement but I opted for a leverage of 1:500.

With a 150$ or 200$ deposit and 0.01 lot size (0.02 if there is progress), do you think my margin will be enough?

I don't trade indices, I just intend to start.

However, if you notice, I don't talk for or against any trade set up posted here I only ask questions. Reason: my strategy is 99% psychology (retail manipulation, reason I trade newyork session) and support/resistance. So I can't comment on your chart. That's why I advise earlier, do what is best for you.

So, I have been watching Oil chart for the past 2 weeks and there are things and patterns that I have seen. I would have loved to fund a 100$ or 200$ live account and practise trading the instrument but the minimum lot for oil is 0.1(1$ per pip). With that, I will be opening a demo account of 700 USD this weekend, trade oil for 3 months and see the result while learning and adjusting. If I do good in this three month, I will fund 1k USD and go live.


This is coming from a place of diversification. My dependent on gold is not something I want to keep for long.

Go live but make sure you have a good trading system cos you'll likely lose all your money. Use like say 50$ and be prepared to lose it all. Trade 0.01 only (About 500 pips to blow you out)

The only benefit of going live is that, you'll learn to deal with your emotions with real money. Nothing else. So, get a good trading plan first.

Make sure you don't let the losses get to your mind. Because that is what separates the good from bad traders. The mind. Never blame the market, or news or anybody for every loss, look at the chart and ask how your could have done better.

Lastly, When you make profit, NEVER think you have arrived, yes you will have that feeling, shut it down immediately and keep learning till you are consistent over time.

I think it depends on the size of the account. If its an account of 1k+ USD, no problemo.

Except you trade H1 or TFs lower than that, I don't see anything happening on gold anytime soon; it entered its ranging region since 2days ago and may not come out if it days to come. But if you trade H1 downward, it could be your time to enjoy gold, else you will get trapped in that range recording consecutive losses.

Keep watching: for its reaction, anything can happen anytime.

I don't trust gold cos we are at the tight edge of the triangle. 50 pips SL. Reduced risk. Last trade for the day. If this goes wrong, not a bad week after all. We move.
