Gold has successfully broken two trendlines downward. Thats the 30 mins TF. But I'll be watching for a sell continuation.

I lost almost 1500 trading huge lots cos price jumped my SL. Big lots compared to account size can go real bad.

1% for today. Making 4% for the week.

I have been able to reduce my risk to 2% per trade and if trade don't go well, I make little or nothing or 2% loss at most.

I decided to try out little percentage growth rather than chasing money cos there will never be enough to chase.

Will invest extra 2k USD by January so my 2% gain a day or 5% gain a week can mean something reasonable. For now, consistency.

If you don't blow your trading account over several months but rather grow on a steady path you have passed the first battle.

This little wins have made me more calm and appreciative of what the market offers me. This forex game is brutal so one must be structured and principled else, it takes one bad trade to fall back to square one.

As at 1pm I needed just $5 to complete my prop firm verification stage 2 target oboy na $5 I dey find since I loses $80 I just had to close my laptop and concentrate on my job b4 I lose all my profit looking for $5. yes, it helps you appreciate growth rather than actual money. It helps appreciate how little you make. When you begin to chase money, you become too desperate.

Forex is more about reacting based on price action formation/shape at a given point in time, and not predicting d future drawing lot of lines and arrows that tells d future occurrence.

Gold monthly timeframe. Last month closed bearish, this month has created a wick to the upside. What to expect? A sell to the downside?

I'm keeping an open mind but will be following what the 4hrs and 1hr candles do.

I had countless sleepless nights, yet I am still shaky in this forex game.
Maintaining my live account over the months with growth has never been an easy task.

At the end of the day, bad days will come, good days come but money management is the key to this game. Once greed sets in, you lose your mind.

One thing that has helped me cope is thinking of my wins or losses in percentage rather than money. Sometimes I can get like 5% in a week or 15% which could be as little as 70$, last weekI got a -2.7%. With this mentality, consistency over time is the goal.

There's a whole lot this journey will teach a trader.

For new traders or demo traders, this market will give you 1000 reasons to fail or quit. You only have to find one reason to not quit and keep improving. It's a hard journey.
