The difference between live and demo from my personal experience is this,

One loss on live account can throw you off balance. You will want to get it back immediately.

Greed is more real on live than demo.

And I found out that no two currencies are the same. The price action for each pair is very unique.

I'll add more later.

Lol, this stage is very hard to pass I will be honest. My advise is come back to live as soon as possible and fight this emotional battle. Every live trader must bypass this to progress.

The journey is a long one.

Expecting price to reach the red line above for a possible sell. That's my bias for now.

Learnt a bitter lesson yesterday. Gained 2.5% acct growth during the gold sell. When price retraced at 2pm candle, I sold expecting a continuation but price kept going up. Lost 6%

I was too stubborn to close the trade early. Bitter lesson learnt the hard way.

We move. Over all, gold has been good.

Its part of the learning process bro, i know what i did wrong. I dont trade like that, it sounds like gambling to me.

taking two positions and closing one when price is misbehaving is not gambling. That's edging. You can't be too sure of the market.

My SL got hit but my bias is still sell. Checked the chart and saw the problem from my entry, basically it was wrong timing. Lets see what monday candle does.

This is the first time I'm doing this oh. But looking at previous NFP, that's how gold moves so I thought about taking advantage.

And whenever you see double top or double bottom, it's a trap.

Price will come back and smash it with full force.

Na the work of the big banks.

Most times when price wants to change direction from an uptrend to a downtrend and vice versa,

Banks create double top or double bottom in the direction its wants to go,

Go the opposite direction and then reverse back to where the top or bottom is and smash it.

It's not always smooth. You must be able to spot it with good chart time.

This feels complicated to me. I guess you are used to it. Keep it up bro. Nice one.

I didn't enter minutes before news. I put pending orders 40 pips away, both buy and sell orders. SL was 50 pips on both. Not easy but it worked.

if you have your laptop close by at NFP, why not do pending buy and sell orders and stay on your system while you adjust as price dance seconds to NFP? I'll be doing that today with a small lot size.

that itself is too much pressure. Almost two months ago, I took a big loss and that affected my psychology, I didn't even know how to spot a pin bar again i had to step back from the charts for almost 2 weeks.

Now imagine if one has a periodic target, how do you deal with the fact that you might not be mentally ready to take a trade for a week. That is disaster. Only experienced traders can scale through when the big fund is deposited. Those of us who are not experienced stand no chance.
