TINUBU is doing well

PoliticsTinubu Signs Bills Establishing New Federal Universities For Osun, Ekiti by ForumNL(op): 11:05pm On Feb 20, 2025
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday in Abuja assented to two separate bills establishing the Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji, Osun State and the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin Ekiti, Ekiti State.

President Tinubu said these specialised institutions will address the educational needs of the populace while driving research and innovation and contributing to the country’s overall economic growth and development.

He said the institutions will serve as training grounds for developing agriculture, science and technology professionals and enhancing Nigeria’s competitiveness in the global economy.

According to the National Universities Commission (NUC), Nigeria currently has 63 approved federal universities, 63 State universities, and 149 private universities.

On February 3, 2025, the President approved establishing the Federal University of Environment and Technology (FUET) in Ogoni town of Tai, Rivers State.

The President also consented to the Federal Government’s takeover of a forfeited private university in Southern Kaduna and its transformation into a federal university.

If only he knows the rate at which Yoruba Muslims are trooping into Christianity

Islam is on a rapid decline in Yoruba land
PoliticsHighest Ranking Nigerians Across The Globe by ForumNL(op): 2:40pm On Nov 03, 2024
As of today,

The highest ranking Nigerian in Nigeria is President Bola Tinubu

The highest ranking Nigerian in the United States is Wale Adeyemo, the U.S. Deputy Secretary of the Treasury,

The highest ranking Nigerian in the United Kingdom is Kemi Badenoch, Member of Parliament and leader of His Majesty's Opposition.

Additionally, the highest ranking Nigerian in the field of academics is Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka,

The highest ranking Nigerian in journalism is the Pulitzer Prize-winning Dele Olojede, and finally,

The most celebrated Nigerian in the field of medicine is Dr. Oluyinka Olutoye, Chief of Surgery at Nationwide Children's Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, and pioneer of fetal and neonatal surgery.

Could it be a coincidence that all six of them are Yorubas? Perhaps. Perhaps not. But I know that Yoruba culture is based on humility and respect for parents, age and authority. Scripture says in Exodus 20:12 and Leviticus 19:32 that if you honour your parents and the elderly, God will honour you.

"Honour your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you."-Exodus 20:12.

“Stand up in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the LORD."-Leviticus 19:32.

"God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”-James 4:6.

May God bless Nigeria and continue to promote her people worldwide.

Are you talking from experience, just speaking nonsense how many medical schools did you visit across the North? Who tell you every society is like your South that takes Fornication for nothing? Young People are being hailed by friends for engaging in sex,you guys brag openly about it and it's no longer a big deal but a common occurrence.
Before generalising please, come with evidence, the North might be called backward but if there is anything we still maintain in the core north is our decency,It can happen elsewhere but not in our Medical Schools where no nonsense lectures are at the helm of affairs.

Over here we don't see sex as achievement.

Iwo, Ede etc are Muslim domain and ILESHA, IFE etc are Christian Domain

But u see, there are more Christians in Iwo and Ede than Muslims in ILESHA and Ife

There are some towns in Ijesa land that there are no mosque at all

Funke Akindele's movies is always featuring Yoruba and Igbos. Aside that, her stories are wonderful, marketing is good and she releases her movies in festive periods. Little wonder why it made so much money.

BTW, I think If not that the north has its own industry!
She for feature the three main tribes and make the best out of it!

Yet! Some people are still on Nairaland fighting tribal wars.

Tribalism is really a poor man's disease!
Jagun Jagun, ORISA, Kesari, Anikulapo, Ayinla, King of thieves etc are pure Yoruba movies and they did well in their respective areas those in cinema and those on Netflix
