You made a good point there. Studying what you've learnt over again could be boring.

I don't think that is unusual in other departments.
Career / Why Are Most Accounting Graduates Not Chartered by forwardvent(m): 5:09pm On Jan 08, 2016
I am an accounting graduate and I'm yet to be a chartered accountant. Many of my classmates we graduated together are not chartered too. This is the case of thousands of accounting graduates in Nigeria.

It amazed me when I found out that 70 to 80 percent of ICAN members are not accounting graduates. Many of them had studied course that are not even related to accounting. For instance, I was an undergraduate when a Microbiology student who is also an undergraduate in same institution obtain her ICAN Certificate.

What could be the reason why many accounting graduates are not chartered and non-accounting graduates are obtaining ICAN Certificate?

Your comments will be appreciated.

None of Mexican food has English name. There are loads of Yoruba food that has no English name, moi-moi inclusive. Now, what's the English name for ofuloju?

You can only explain what it is in English and not try to coin English word(s) as it English name.

What if the cover letter is also in word format. I.e. Sending CV and cover letter as attachment?
I think it better when you type it in the mail and not as attachment. HR Team don't spend time reading applicant CVs due to the volume of CV they receive. Your cover letter makes your CV interesting and persuade the HR Team to carefully review yours.

I understand how frustrating it can be no to get any call for an interview after several job applications. I have this few ideas to suggest to you and I'm sure they will help you to get invitation for interview.

1. You can submit your CV online for evaluation. Jobberman and YouthHubAfrica helped me to evaluate my CV free and it really improved my CV. You can submit yours to Jobberman through this link http://mobile./topcv

2. When you want to forward your CV to any Company HR, ensure you type your cover letter in the mail text box. Don't just attach your CV to an empty mail and send. Ensure your CV is in doc/docx format and is created with the Microsoft Word 10 or 13. Your cover letter should be brife and summarize what you have in your CV.

3. Ensure you apply directly on the company's website, not true Jobberman, Career24 or any other job website. Applications on job websites don't usually get to the company HR. You can Google the company name to get the company's website address.

4. Have a category of job you will like to apply for. Don't just apply for any job you see online. Always read the job description and requirements to see if you meet up.

5. Prayer to God over the applications you made. You will not only get calls for interview but also secure a good job.

I can't really say it's possible to take assessment on phone with Adobe flash. But it is advisable to make use of a laptop or desktop computer with Adobe flash for your convenience. I did mine on a laptop while I used my phone as calculator.

Regret mail less than 2secs after completing the numerical assessment. Only robots can answer those questions within the alloted time grin And I know some nairalanders are robots

I got a regret mail after I completed the logical pattern assessment and even before I answered the numerical assessment questions.
The challenge I had with the assessment is the time constrain.
