Belarus and Kazakhstan also had nuclear weapons stationed in their territory, and they still had to relinquish it after the end of the Union.
Putting weapons in your territory in a union and organization like NATO doesn't make you the owner. American Nuclear weapons are in many NATO countries. If any of those countries becomes neutral by opting out of NATO, the US will remove their nuclear weapons from their territory.
The chaos in Ukraine has nothing to do with wether they have nuclear weapons or not.
They have lived in peace with the Russians and the west before the coup that put Nazi sympathizers in government using a colour revolution.
Nuclear weapons acquisition by North Korea is NOT analogous to the situation in Ukraine.

Is Chernobyl nuclear plant used for production of nuclear weapons? It was used as a power plant but decommissioned after the accident
If you're informed as you claim, you would have understood that the reason they have to take over the plant is for safety measures. It is not below some Ukrainian Nazis to sabotage the plant while retreating, which would have resulted in a major environmental disaster in Europe. . The Russians have to prevent this from happening.
