This cleric must be a stupid fellow. How can he say the looting of billions of dollars from a poor country is just an excuse? Does he think Nigeria gets money by tithes? This man thinks that asking for international support in recovering stole funds is a statement of failure.

What a joker.
I don't think he has discovered his calling

Nothing can justify the invasion of any Nigerian's privacy and subsequent house arrest without any charges or warrant of arrest. It has never happened in Nigeria since the last 16 years. Now his passport is seized without a court order. It is barbaric and smacks of military mentality. If Sambo has broken any law, arrest him lawfully and charge him to court. Shikena. No Nigerian no matter who you are has the right to take laws into his own hands. Not even our President!
there was warrant of search and dat has been done ok

This APC propaganda is just so annoying. Who is the source? What is the big deal in finding $40k in Sambo's home? Was he not preparing for Sallah feast? Is he a poor man? Is it not commensurate with his Salary? Is he not a former Colonel and NSA? Is he not entitled to rifle? This is propaganda that we shall address
did Dasuki tell u he earns his salary in dollars.huh by d way $40000 for salah rite. dats was d impunity in d days of GEJ. spend money without recourse to what d masses are going through. God will punish those dats reaped dis country to a mess. their generation will suffer diseases

Because the US placed an arms embargo on the NA.
As I alluded to in my last post illegality is subjective.
Do you know that the existence of Nigeria is illegal to both Boko haram and Biafran extremists ?
by what means are those two organisation existing. through force or the use of peaceful means. USA went thru civil war like Nigeria. If Texas can not use legal and peaceful means to negotiate their ways out of USA., y should they call USA illegal. it is foolish in the first instance to think so. the British brought this country together y didnt they fight the British empire like Benin empire fought and d Oba was arrested and dispose

Buhari has more daunting challenges than chasing opponents. It is a common knowledge that most Hausa/Fulani men keep money in cash. $40,000 (less than 10million Naira) is not up to what some traders or supermarket makes in a day. A service station can make this amount in a couple of hours. For God's sake we are talking of $0.04million. This can not fund a good shopping trip. Everybody is not a pauper. The amount in view can not buy Aisha's wrist watch.

The action of DSS is pure witch-hunt. Smell the coffee. Sambo's sin is that he was very prominent in the overthrow of Buhari's regime in 1985 and he was hard on boko boys as NSA.

If PMB wants to fight corruption he should go for the big fishes from whom we can recover substantial amount of money. Besides PMB should get busy with delivering dividends of democracy and fulfilling his campaign promises and leave petty issues of trying to get even with perceived opponents.
whether it will buy Aisha wrist watch or not it is wrong to keep such at home. don't forget he just left public office recently and he must be accountable. in d case of shop owners who possess such., let them continue to keep such amount at home. when something happens within their vincinity and such amount is found with individual., he/ she will account for it. u can not do things anyhow and u expect Nigeria to become developed over night. Aisha had her wrist watch before PMB became president though we are watching closely her lifestyle

Who decides what is illegal ?

Any means , I repeat any means can be taken to tackle insurgency
If Boko haram can get their weapons through backdoor ,
what is wrong in NA doing the same ?
I guess you are one of those who stays very far away from boko haram conflict,
hence your indifference to the plight of the victims.

Only the living cares about the methods used innarms procurement.
so d country exist illegally rite.huh y was $15 million sent to South Africa confisticated because necessary due process wasn't followed. now I hope I have explained what it mean to be " illegal" . u country remains d same way it is because of d foolishness of some of our leaders and how they operate the institutions in Nigeria

I don't see how thie "recovery" of 3 guns and a mere $40,000 adds any value or spice to the DSS invasion of his house. As a retired senior military officer and NSA for that matter, you would expect him to have guns for personal protection, so what? Then $40k is roughly N10 million. That can't even buy a good car these days; the pure water Toyota Prado that litters Abuja streets costs at least N15 million. Even many mistresses and high class ashawos in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja have that in cash or jewellery in their rooms, so big deal?

Tell us something more meaningful. If he embezzled billions of dollars, where is the evidence? Where is the money trail?
yes d ashawos and mistresses are being patronized by the rogue and "thiefing" politician who don't care about d masses and dats y d country is in a mess. now dat someone who is bold to look at thieves in their eyes balls., must be left alone to do his work

Three guns were found in his home, so what? Is he not a retired soldier? $40,000 found in his home: Well, that amount is a lot smaller compared to the $3 billion allegedly misappropriated by Dasuki.
But who cares? The zoo must fall.
nothing will make meaning to u because d zoo must fall. even if Jesus Christ was to question Dasuki it won't make meaning because ur selfish goal isn't accomplished

All the money spent in re-electing gej and the dude still lost, was it that pmb spent more?
undecided
cannt say PMB spent more but if u are very observant before d election u will understand dat GEJ was losing ground. he spent more time visiting lagos at d last minute. Dasuki did his best for Nigeria in our fight against insurgents , he even went to an extreme length in getting arms for NA through the backdoor
when USA prevented Nigeria from getting weapons. It was his relentless effort to secure arms that led to the 6-week reclamation of all Nigeria's
territory previously head by insurgents.
He surely doesn't deserve being harassed.
However, if there is any credible evidence against him , he should be charged accordingly.

$40,000 converted to Naira is still less than 10million. What is the big deal about it. PMB has more pressing work to do than witch-hunting opponents. His house is on fire and he is pursuing rats. This is over 100days since Buhari won the election and he is yet to show that he knows how to move the country forward.
I can see ur level of reasoning. it is a pity.!!! so because $40000 is less than #10000000 it should be swept under d carpet rite.huh because of of collateral decay in Nigeria., Some Nigerians don't see anything wrong when someone vandalize pipeline., steal NEPA cables., dupe his fellow Nigerian like what happened to my friend recently

MizMyColi...even though we support the PDP, I think it shouldn't be a choice that should inhibit our over all sense of right or wrong. I understand that supporting a particular cause might channel all our spirit and emotional strengths into that cause, I will still appeal that you also look at the arguments from the e-PDP supporters with a sense of 'there might be another side of the argument'.

I must admit that the conduct of certain people here in the run up to the 2015 election was both appalling and repulsive, I still think we should live above board and be seen to have done so.

I believe I am closer to the PDP than you are. I also benefited from the PDP led-government, and continue to do so. However, the truth must be told.

In your very first comment on this thread, you alluded to the fact that you wonder why Jonathan left Dasuki. Now that is the spirit. There are certain people in the previous regime that must be held accountable for their stewardship and Dasuki is one of them. Political leaning aside, Jonathan's handling of the Boko Haram issue was not good enough. The former President came on live TV to lament that certain elements who are sympathetic to the BH menace were in his government. Many years down the road and no one was either arrested or convicted. In as much as I believe the BH issue was partly fuelled by the North's 'born to rule' mentality, the President should have tackled it as he did some few weeks to the election.

Anyone who thinks that Dasuki was picked for his role in the coup that ousted Buhari in the 80's should think again. Under Dasuki, the army became a laughing outfit in Nigeria and other countries. The previous NSA didn't perform as badly as Dasuki, but the North protested for long and he was removed. But there was no protest against Dasuki, even though his tenure was worst. And this happened at a time when the defence budget became very huge. The only people who will bring up what happened in the 80's to try and defend Dasuki are those who don't have the interest of this country at heart.

If Jonathan is found wanting during his time as President, he should be made to face justice. Nothing stopped him from probing Obasanjo's time as President. Nigerians would have applauded him had he done so. This country is bigger than any individual. After Buhari leaves office, the incoming administration too would look into his time as President. No one is above the law!
dis is a very reasonable Nigerian.. not dose useless tribalistic., sectional and religious bigots

Please answer me this, did Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan wake up one morning and cut his salary? Was it not the heighten tension that seized the country at that time when he removed subsidy from PMS on Jan 1 2012 that made him cut his salary 25%?.

So if Save Nigeria Group have not held the former President Jonathan by his balls would he have effected that pay cut? Just a reminder, if he was really 'the sacrificial president' as you put it, why on Earth, did he slash PHCN tariff by half, and removed 10 Naira from the price of PMS when he knew he was going to loose the 2015 presidential election?.
